Similar to last year's promotion

As per the comments, the offer appears to be open to both new and existing users of the app.

To claim the $10 voucher:

  • Using a smartphone compatible with Samsung Pay, download and activate Samsung Pay

  • Activate the offer under 'promotions'

  • Upload at least one Eligible Card into Samsung Pay on your Device.

“Eligible Card” means a debit card, credit card or loyalty card supported by Samsung Pay in Australia - this includes cards such as Flybuys, Woolworths Rewards etc

Eligible Devices include any of the following Samsung Galaxy devices:

i. S6 (SM-G920I);
ii. S6 Edge (SM-G925I);
iii. S6 Edge+ (SM-G928I);
iv. Note 5 (SM-N920I);
v. S7 (SM-930F);
vi. S7 Edge (SM-G935F);
vii. A5 (SM-A520F);
viii. A7 (SM-A720F);
ix. S8 (SM-G950);
x. S8+ (SM-G955F) and
xi. Note 8 (SM-950F);

The first 35,000 Eligible Claimants who submit an Eligible Claim will receive a pop-up notice in Samsung Pay confirming they are a Winner and a including a voucher code using which the Winner will be about to receive the Gift. "Gift" means a voucher valued at $10.00 which can be redeemed at Woolworths supermarkets in Australia or on www.woolworths.com.au.

        Are your phones local stock or grey import? I'm theorising that if you don't have AU firmware then the promo won't come up for you.

      Commbank only just gave up trying to force feed their DIY app and supported Android Pay.

    Came up in promotion section on pay app.
    Added card went to verify and Samsung pay crashed and now there is nothing about it in app.

      Mine said that too, but when I clicked on it, the gift voucher promotion came up. Clicked on that and it took a while to process, but it eventually came up with the offer.

      You have to activate the offer there before adding a card for it to work.

      Open samsung pay app. Click on promotion/ voucher if you see the $10 promotion, add your card then you will get the voucher.

    I had nothing in promotions after adding card, then 30 minutes later I get the promotion but had to add another card which I did and the $10 voucher came through immediately.

      android pay is android pay. samsung pay is samsung pay.

      No, more banks support Android Pay, and Android Pay is available on pretty much any Android Phone with NFC running 4.4+.

      Samsung Pay is only available on a handful of Samsung phones, and has less bank support.
      However Samsung Pay has extra hardware features - Mobeam for barcode support - where it 'beams' the barcode as infrared light which means it'll work at pretty much any barcode scanner (whereas older scanners struggle reading from a phone screen) and MST support - if your bank supports it (I know Amex does, ANZ doesn't) it'll emulate the magnetic strip of your card, so you can hold your phone up to a terminal where you'd normally swipe a card if it doesn't support contactless payment.
      Rather useless in Australia, but big in the US.

    For those who dont know Samsung Pay is more useful than Android Pay as it can work with older swipe only card machines by Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST).

        It won't disable the 2nd Sim feature even after flashing to AUS Rom
        I just checked on my Sim Manager and I can still see Sim 1 and Sim 2

    if you have a samsung phone and a samsung watch with NFC, you can get 2 codes by adding a card to your phone and another to your watch.

      Could you add the same card, or did you have to use another one which is different to what you used for the phone promotion?

      I tried deleting and re-adding current card (same as phone) however nothings come through for the samsung watch one.

      I have the watch but the promo doesn't appear in Gear for the watch. I got it for the S8 but not for the Gear. Under Promotions there's nothing. Did you claim it first on the phone or the gear?

      You don't have to add a payment card btw. You can add a loyalty card like Flybuys or Woolies Rewards. Or even Nandos, Red Rooster, Boost, etc.

    Was annoyed that NAB weren't supported, but thought I'll add my rewards cards to keep them organised anyway.
    Turns out my woolworths rewards card is sufficient. Awesome.

    If you're having trouble just click on "Add loyalty card", click EB Games, click "manually enter card number" and then type in "123456" and done.

        It's a code. When you hit redeem, what happens? Am I meant to enter the code into Woolworths POS terminal? Or does it think my phone is loaded with $10?

          Keep following the prompts within the Samsung pay app until you've been e-mailed the Woolworths eGift card ("Your Woolworths eGift Card from Samsung Pay awaits").

          Open the e-mail. Click on the "Click Here" link. Click on "View" or "Download". Should be self-explanatory from there :)
