Was there a limit per IP/ACCOUNT if the resources are that limited? Why people get that many and report it here? Is this sort of a set up by Geekbuying?

    • Well someone got 6 above so probably not. Wonder if they onsell.

    • I thought i read there was a limit of one, but i got 4 and someone else got 6.

Can you tell us how many extra codes you are adding? It feels like this deal has been created to waste my time and annoy me.

      Count me in

    • With over 2000 clicks at the time of expiry I can assure you hundreds were sold. I'll let you know how many more pcs I can get on Monday.

      • +2

When it first expired there were 160 clicks (as reported by ozbargain). I dont imagine 100% of those clicks bought one. I guess its a lot, im just annoyed that I keep seeing this deal as active when it clearly isnt.

The fact that its not marked as expired just feels like a clickbait to make you look at the other products, which people clearly dont care nearly as much about.

You're right about the first round. There were 50pcs available then as GeekBuying didn't anticipate it to be popular. A lot more stock was allocated for the second round.

The Xiaomi Socket is marked as expired.

        • clickbait , fishing for customers to their website , all should be taken with a dim view.

There should be a rule that forbids you re-posting the same deal \ item within 24 hours. Otherwise this type of advertising flutter is getting out of control and its basically wrong. I;ve seen it with a few ads here lately, not just this one.

it's like petrol being advertised cheap, then when you drive there, the price has changed. Market luring.

@nuno: i think it's pretty obvious the socket is out of stock when you read the post.

        • yeah but you have people buying 6 or more.

        • @kiwijunglist: it was out of stock no less than 6 times in this thread.

  • Anybody had any experience using these with a Samsung smartthings hub? I've seen some claims that Xiaomi sensors tend to be a bit unstable. Was also wondering whether it's possible to get power usage info if using with a smartthings hub?

    • Yea. Some people say they work well and for some people they keep dropping out. I'd take the risk and try one. They are not officially supported so any update could break support at any time. I don't personally have smart things but did read a lot of forum posts about it.

  • Still says This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

    • As per the post it's expired. I'll let everyone know when it comes back.

  • Clear, Is the smart wifi socket, Australian electric compliance?
If yes, can you please provide the certificate number or Applicant or Trade name or Model number supplied here? so that we can search it here

The last thing we want to happen is similar to the hoverboard charger burn the house incident

    • No xiaomi product will meet the ERAC certifications. Namely because of the uninsulated plugs, not because of shoddy quality. I would say almost no overseas seller would have a product that would meet the standards required.

If you're a standards nazi buy from a local seller that is required to comply.

  • Any chance there will be another code to get the Zigbee outlet?

    • Tomorrow possibly if GeekBuying allow it.

      • yes please!
i have 1 x temperature sensor, 1 x outlet and 1 x water leak sensor in my cart, i will wait for a deal before I press buy!

      • Maybe you could see if geekbuying will do a sale on the outlets, water leak sensors, window sensors and body sensors I'd be all over it. As would others haha

      • I need 2x human body sensors and 1x door sensor :D

        • Cheers I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Same for the others.

        • Got a deal on the Door Sensor for you.

        • @Clear: cheers.

      • Looking forward to it! Please post it as a new deal so I don't have to keep coming back here to check ;)

      • any updates for the zigbee socket?

  • you can buy from here now. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/347637

    • +2

      • Same here :(. EDIT: Just shipped!

        • Mine just shipped too

        • @DEADBEEF: no luck with mine… Maybe I should've just get the Free shipping
