  • A large number of hotels that I search thru CheapTickets are refundable. 20% is very good. Be quick - book now via ebates. Can cancel later if you get a better deal.
Note Well, this is a 24 hour deal:-
"online with cheaptickets.com between December 4, 2017 12:01AM CT and December 4, 2017 11:59PM CT, for 1 or more nights for travel between December 4, 2017, and June 30, 2018. Qualifying bookings instantly receive 20% off at check-out through the use of the promotion code. Customers are limited to two redemptions of this promotion code and up to a maximum savings of $150 per booking"

Not all hotels can use this code (well - not in NYC anyway). Also, as usual, compare with other sites. Have already found 4 hotels cheaper on other sites (even with the discount code applied).

    • What's a good hotel to stay at in NYC?

      • I stayed at the Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South last year. Good value for money, nice hotel and great location. They do free evening canapes and drinks between 5-7pm every day (amazing deal), hot food, self-serve tap beer and the restaurant where they do the drinks on the first floor has great big windows with a view of Central Park. It's a few short blocks uptown from Times Square, excellently located.

  • The number does look cheaper compared with a hotel i booked earlier via Bookings.com, however it was in US dollars. So not cheaper at all and you need to be charged now, though you can cancel it at a later stage(possibly through refund I guess).

Yep NEVER had a problem with refunds from CT and done it lots (Being a 'rusted-on' Ozbargainer :)

Got a great price for my trip next March. Thanks OP!

"Sorry, your hotel isn't covered by this coupon offer." on everything I tried.

  • tried 4 hotels, none work…

5th one worked… would expedia price match to get the $50 voucher

    • they dont price match with coupons afaik

  • +1

Mmm expedia with the 12% mastercard deal works out cheaper for me on all Euro accommodation.

    • yeh cool, i've been blasting that deal to death.

    • Same here, just booked last night and Cashrewards tracked fine too.

  • Where do I enter the code?

    • +1

The code can only be applied when you choose to pay the whole cost.

      • So do I confirm the booking and enter the code afterwards?

Or do you mean you have to choose a pay now option rather than pay on date of stay?

        • +2

You have to choose Pay Now, then in the payment section there's a link 'Enter a coupon or promotion code'

        • @lolcake: Ah cheers guys!

    • Sorry I am stuck on this as well. I cannot see the Pay Now option. I proceeded to secure the booking thinking the Pay Now link appears after. Now all I see if "View Your Itineray, Change Booking, Cancel Booking". Where is the Pay Now so I can use the code??

      • I encountered the same problem, but then I tried to do a dummy booking for another accommodation and saw what they mean. After you click "Reserve Now" a pop up screen comes up and gives you the option to Pay Now or Pay Deposit.

The accommodation that I wanted to book didn't have a pop up screen and also didn't have a section to enter the promo code, which makes me think that it wasn't part of the promotion. Hope this helps.

        • Thanks m8.

  • Used the 15% last holiday. Had an issue with the Hotel not getting the reservation. Called up and it was sorted within minutes. Great customer service!

  • How do I change prices to $AUD?

  • I just did a search for a hotel in Sydney, site says
    Price is now:
$172 avg rate per room, per night

When I go to book for 7 nights I see the following:

    7 Nights $1,204.91
    Taxes & fees $1,924.89
    Total: $3,129.80

Am I doing something wrong? I'm assuming US website so not ideal to book Aus hotels?

  • Nah I was wrong lol. Deleted.

  • +1

Just did a booking and the price appeared to be too good to be true..and then checked their rates are showing up in USD! Lucky that I booked a property with free cancellation..

  • -3

    ALL PRICES ARE IN USD

All prices are PRE-TAX so the discounts are half what they say basically

    • +1

This is true. But I've still found it to be cheaper. I looked on Trivago, Hotels Combined…. lots of places and still saved $20 on my $200 booking!

    • To 'Hellman109' Not unusual. Same with Orbitz. Get used to it!!
"Half" is a huge and misleading exaggeration.
Note Hotels.com rewards (1 night for 10) exclude taxes, and therefore equates to approx 8% rebate rather than approx 10% rebate (value is averaged over your stays)

  • -1

Help please. The hotel chosen did not have option to pay now.
Called the hotel but they did not honour.
Any trick to get the 20% applied???

  • +1

This is a lousy "bargain", they exclude many hotels they normally offer and the prices are USD, not AUD.

  • Nothign special, at least for me

I was almost spewing I booked accom last night, until I checked..

Was nearly $100 cheaper for me to book via Expedia using Mastercard 12% off code + cashrewards 5.5% cashback (and the cashback did track), and that's not factoring any currency conversion either if you don't have a 28 degrees/Bankwest Zero Plat…

    Saved $100 after conversions
