Have you got any pets, Scotty?

    • +7

Used to. Inherited an old dog when I bought my house in 2003, but passed away a few years ago. Now days we just do pet-sitting for friends when they are travelling.

  • Advocate Green for Small Dog - 3Pack down from $55.24 to $38.67, that's a great price. $10 cheaper than I've ever seen it elsewhere.

  • can anyone recommend a gps collar for cats? petbarn did supply a brand years ago but nothing since

  • Great find! 24 cans K9 cat food only 67 per tray.

  • Man this would have been great when the aquarium I wanted was still marked down.

    Doesn't stack with promotions. Damn

    • -2

Doesn't stack with Domino's codes either, double damn.

Was just browsing dog food and noticed the prices has been marked up,

Pro Plan Optidigest was showing $55.28 (25% online only sale, was $73.71) now the price is $118.99

  • Pretty good deal for worming/flea/ticks chewables!

  • +1

Never valid for prescription diets :(

    • I guess you don’t watch The Checkout on ABC

    • Prescription diets are an expensive scam and nonsense.

      • Unless it is for treating kidney problems etc

        • Helped our pups joint problems

        • The problem with them is the poor quality ingredients and the fillers used.

If an animal is ill, it's much better to give them a quality diet.

There is nothing in these foods that you can't supply yourself.

Which it is, and it has definitely helped the issue we were seeing.

I'm the first one that will say you're an idiot for buying expensive pet food! But in my case, we were seeing urinary crystals forming in my cat's bladder, which was resulting in frequent inappropriate urination (shoes/bed/couch/carpet.)

We switched to a specific prescription diet for this issue and we've not seen the problem once since!

        • @picklewizard:

The irony is that crystals in cats is usually caused by feeding them dry food.

        • @Scab: with lack of water being available for them.

        • @Scab: The dry food is prescription. Also my cat has plenty of water.

  • Whenever I add toys to the cart it applies discount but wont let me select a shipping option. any ideas?

  • ah they're timing these codes well these days. it's always after a 25-30% off storewide sale finishes so you can't stack.

    • Of course they would, otherwise it would be ~60% off everything and that would be bad for business.

      • wasn't always the case though. and that's really only when you should buy from PB.

        • What wasn't always the case? Not sure why you're surprised that a retailer isn't offering more than 30% off during a sale.

          @Lorindor:

the stacking of the sale and coupon. i'm not surprised. but it's just that that was how you properly ozbargain with petbarn in the past. are you new to petbarn "deals" or something?

  • Thanks OP, bought a cat scratcher. My couch thanks you

    • +1

You should give the scratcher a name.

I would name it Scotty, Scotty Scratcher.

      • +2

        What about Scabby Scratcher

  • +5

Just yesterday was looking for a new water fountain for the cats.
    Yesterday it was $75.99
    Today $93.99

The ol jack up the price then offer a discount!

    • There was a different sale on earlier in the week.

  • Of course, this happens two days after I make a click and collect order!
edit: Called Petbarn and they cancelled my old order.
Remember to turn on repeat delivery for additional discount!

  • thanks scotty. very happy to get 20kg blackhawk lamb/rice for $68.99 minus (maybe)4%CR
