Not sure if this is a price error but $40 bucks for the silver kettle when the others are for $183.20 with the 20%.

    Pricing error. I wouldn’t expect David Jones do the same what AppliancesOnline did recently. That was amazing.

      • Appliance Online had a major price error for a product i cant remember what was it. If i recall they said they will "take it to the chin" and sell at a loss.

          AO gave everyone a $10 voucher (no minimum spend) but mistakenly labeled it as a $30 voucher. You were only meant to get a $10 voucher. Then they apologized for the error and gave everyone a $30 voucher in addition to the $10 one. So they gave everyone $40 for free. I was able to use my $30 voucher twice, because the first time, they had to manually order it for me because I was having problems with a $0 payment. But it didn't consume the voucher, so I used it again later and bought a $33 item for $3.

    • On the first screen check availability in preferred locations before adding to cart or going to checkout screen.

  • Go and price match it if you really want it. David Jones will not give it at that price! I bought three to be a jerk for redemption on the Dyson Big Ball Animal Pro that look like a Black Friday Deal.

    • No other retailer would price match at this price. They would know that it's a pricing error by DJ. Retailers don't price match pricing errors.

      • A couple got lucky with the Dyson. They posted the receipts.

    Looks like their 72h sale is still live. 3h to go last time I checked.
    There is a Coffee Siphon among the offers. That's basically a glass kettle. Appears to be in stock as well.

        The red kettle is the default picture, being KitchenAid's signature colour. The circle in the corner indicates the colour.

        no its silver but all boxes are the same showing the red colour one , they have circle in the front with silver, red , white

    over an hour ago it was expired, why is it still top of the page?

  • I was about to go through with a pick up order arbor tuggarah but decided against it because of the long drive.

    I was sure I didn’t press the confirmation button but I have been charged (payment pending).

    I haven’t received an emails about the order. Hopefully it just a poor ordering system that test your card before confirmation.

    • It's a poor ordering system (same thing happened to me once for. The money should be refunded back to your card within a few days, so keep an eye on your statement.

      Lots of systems do an authorisation before they do a capture, so the transaction shows in pending but never actually shows up on your statement (it disappears after 2-30 days). That said, don't know of many that do that before you hit confirm. Usually it's so they can allocate stock or deduct a secondary payment type (eg gift card / store credits). Though I know some of the older PayPal methods had PayPal do an auth then take you back to the retailers site where you would actually do the confirmation.

      All this would be very annoying if you had a low credit limit / are near your limit / it is a debit card….

    Just got my pick up confirmation from Eastland (Vic) for 1 out of my 2 orders.

    • Eastland probably works faster than Glen Waverly. I'm still waiting.. Good to hear about these confirmations.

    An hour ago receive a call from Tuggerah store, said my order has been cancelled due to I am the last guy who take the order, but I did received order confirmation. Decide to go to fair trading.

      And say what? "I bought a kettle hoping there was a pricing error. It looks like there was, but I think they should honour it anyway because I should be entitled to benefit from other peoples' mistakes."

        If they don't agree with this somewhat reasonable request (same device different colour) then forget fair trading, post about it on their social media platforms.

        DJ's may act like they don't care about sales but given the current retail climate they most definitely do, so any/all negative publicity is another nail in their retail presence coffin.

        Yesterday after fair trading involved, dj called me said will send me one. My point is that they send me confirmation email which means they agree the price. When we purchased, they can denied by the reason of wrong price. But confirmation means agreement. Although I don’t know whether my point is correct, since ft already help me to solve the problem.

    I got one. Did click and collect for Southland, Vic., and went to store with confirmation. They told me they weren't honouring this price as its a mistake and I should have been contacted. I whinged a bit about the traffic and parking and said I wasn't happy. Did the trick. They handed one over.

      • I ordered about 11.00am and got confirmation within 5mins. When I picked up they were aware of problem and said they were contacting everyone who ordered. I hadn't been contacted and they first offered me a higher discount (40%). I said no. Did a bit of complaining and they caved.

    Just got a notification from DJ Karrinyup WA, my order is ready for pick up, ✌…

    • Just picked my one up, no drama.

  • Quick solution was to lie about having no stock available. No admitting to price error this time. I got my refund over the phone directly to my debit card.

    I've just picked mine up today from DJ Glenn Waverly today. I felt if I waited longer, I would not have got it and true enough, I almost left empty handed.

    They were saying that it is in their policy that they can reject any pricing error which was fair enough but they didn't cancel the order or let us know. They've had hours to cancel an email but didn't. As of 3pm, the price has still not been corrected albeit the zero stock and this is not the only stock in DJ with a price error today….

    All orders were already set aside but they were contemplating whether to cancel them all and they did cancel mine right when I arrive. After a lengthy chat, the Store Manager got involved and recognized that it was an error with the online time and allowed the sale to go through "on this special occasion". Said usually they do not… I also told them few stores have already fulfilled the orders (showed them some ozb pictures)

    Apparently DJs in Victoria was teaming up (Doncaster, GW) to not fulfill this order.

    I put through the order to collect from Macquarie Centre this morning at 8.45am, got a confirmation email within minutes. Then at 10.20am, received an email saying it's ready for collection. I went in at 11.30am to collect it from the customer service desk. Very friendly staff.

    I then went around to the kettles section and saw an empty space next to two same kettles but of different colours (red and cream left). Checked the boxes below these on display, and only two empty boxes, presumably for the two left on display. I assume mine is from the display as the box I got wasn't packed nicely, with the kettle sticking out a bit, i.e. box lid doesn't close properly.

    Just got a call from chadstone, they left a message saying they don’t have the item and they want to offer me a refund. It took them 9 hours to Call

    The cheapest one from target will do just as good a job for 5 bucks and more reliable.
