Pretty sure it was cheaper during Black Friday.

Plus, a lot of people no longer trust Kaspersky… :(

    • +17

Because the US and UK media said so? Kaspersky IMO is second best to Bitdefender in performance/protection but much better value. Highly recommended.

And I have used Saveonit many times in the past and they have been great every time.

      • Kaspersky is very good. It will probably pick up viruses and malware written by the US government.

My only problem with it is that is slows the system on boot horribly.

        • I'm not using Total Security, but i am running Kaspersky Internet Security and it doesn't slow the system on boot at all. Then again i am running Windows 10 Pro with a Samsung 850 Pro SSD and 16GB of RAM.

        • Replace your mechanical HDD by an SSD, problem solved

        • @trienchieu12: We are running on an SSDs. KIS has a big impact on performance compared to ESET.

ESET's firewall is also better IMHO.

      • Exactly, they're just trying to kill legitimate competition from Russia.

    • -2

Yeah, people which trust Trump don't trust Kaspersky. Wonder who of them would be the bigger liar/criminal

      • +3

… Man oh man … a Trump hater who can't help himself ..

        • -2

Nope, i don't hate anyone. I have just got a brain of my own and don't need mainstream media to tell me what to think

      • … so what's this rave got to do with anti-virus software???

    • I use multiple types of security software. Been using this for the past 10 years and its easily my favourite of the lot. And I wouldnt worry about russia stealing your details. India's already sold it to them. Plus viruses dont care about a persons political or personal beliefs / fears / etc. This is one of, if not possibly the best virus scanners on the market.

As compared to the NSA taking whatever they want from G, MS, FB etc for years.

    • +1

Pretty sure it was cheaper during Black Friday.

So what? It's not available now.

Plus, a lot of people no longer trust Kaspersky… :(

Only those incapable of independent thought based on facts and logic don't trust Kaspersky.

    Endorsed by the US Government!

I wouldn't be Putin this program on my computer.

      • +10

        Trumps the other AVG's.

Bitdefender is $20 for 5 users 12mths atm. I know which I'd choose.

    • +1

Wasn't Bitdefender deal, for just the last weekend, currently its $69.98

      • Still $19.99

        • Thanks mate, some how it was showing me 69.98
Edit : it is showing me $19.99 on the main page, add it to the cart it still goes back to $109.99, something not right there

        • -1

@amit5280: Same here. A popup also appears:

Fields marked in red must be filled in correctly.
To continue, please review the entered data.

Because the coupon code in the URL (RENEWAL-FREE-TS5D1Y-19.99AUD) has finally expired.

    • This is only for a year, I only have three devices and Kaspersky gives me two years.

      So I'm choosing Kaspersky.

  • +2

Can you match the same deal for ESET?

Top notch AV at a great price. Keep up the great work.

  • Why do you do this to me, I bought literally the same thing (from the same guys) 4 days ago for $30

  • -1

Russian kgb back door lol good luck leaking your data

    • +5

Its one of the only AV that doesnt whitelist all the NSA/CIA malware the US government uses to spy on the world.

      • +1

        source?

    • +4

      Bargaingeek: "Russian kgb back door"

Are you talking about the KSN process in some kasperky products?

KSN has been in some kaspersky products for years and will in fact actually send suspect files from your computer to kaspersky headquarters for analysis if you have opted in.

KSN is an "opt in" or "opt out" feature.

The problem with some sub standard detection rates or sub standard modules in anti virus or security products is that you generally you would not know you had a problem.

Eugene kaspersky was in fact a kgb employee after he left uni.

The average Australian citizen would be unlikely to have files that the FSB would be interested in.

However the average australian computer user/citizen may well fall for some type of scam not related to any anti virus or computer security product.

      • +4

The average Australian citizen would be unlikely to have files that the FSB would be interested in.

        Challenge accepted.

        • If you seriously believe that (almost) any nation's security couldn't hack into your systems if they wanted to you're way out of date.

      • Reply to grog:
Ran Kas like that for many years. If there was evidence of Kas spying on users the business would go into meltdown. Russia and most developed nations (even NKorea) could easily access our private computers if they had an interest in doing so, so the best advice for the paranoid is to not connect to the internet, not use your phone, not conduct any financial transaction, etc etc

    • As compared to G, T, I, FB, M and others feeding everything they have about you to the NSA.

Which do you think feed more to you to a TLA ?

  • I know that only a very few would have it, but if you have a Uk Barclays account it is free for 2 devices (renew it every year)

    • I have a Barclays UK account, but they are no longer offering Kaspersky. You should receive an inbox message about it when you log in to your online banking

      • Thanks for the info, that sucks!

  • Not the lowest ever as the OP claims. Bought it just six days ago from SaveOnIt for 19 AUD.

    • KIS or KTS? KIS is still $19 at SaveOnit (thanks for the prompt :-) )

      • +1

Both.. I paid for KIS but my email with the code says I can use it to activate either KIS or KTS.

        • +1

Interesting, thanks. Currently running KIS might upgrade.

    • +1

And what does this crappy link tell us? List one item that is a better deal, not a search result with different licences.

      Your reply is simply crap

        • +4

No, i am not. One of of is blind or dumb. I guess it's the one who confuses internet security with total security. Two totally different products

  • +2

I bought this last year and near the end of the year, said something about not being a endorsed license and to sign up again though Kaspersky. Happened to my mate as well. It still worked fine till the end though but kinda put me off buying again and I went bitdefender now plus 5 users is a bonus.

    • How do you find bitdefender? Do you know how much you pay for the 5 licenses? Also, do you think iOS needs something like that? Sorry for the multiple questions, but I’ve heard good things about bitdefender. Appreciate any thoughts :)

    • danRSR

Yes a distributor in australia got into a court battle with kaspersky last year.

Some users got a message about keys supplied by the distributor.

If saveonit got the keys from that distributor or a dealer via the distributor, there may have been problems as you mentioned.

Read this to get the full info

      https://www.arnnet.com.au/article/610366/kaspersky-takes-hem…

Australian technology distributor, Hemisphere Technologies, and Kaspersky Lab UK are entwined in a legal battle spanning two countries, over the alleged non-payment of royalties to the cyber security software vendor.

The two companies are involved in legal proceedings in both Australia and Sweden to settle a dispute in which, according to court documents, Kaspersky claims that Hemisphere Technologies allegedly owes it royalties from several months' worth of distribution partnership between the two businesses.

  • You get a single key to use on 3 devices. But the 2 years subscription starts from the first installation. So next time I will rather buy 3 individual licenses

  • AV products are generally pretty meh. Working in security I can tell you that they're often seen as a vector of attack. They're a necessity, but don't ever pay for AV - Windows 10's built-in AV, in combination with all the other security features in the OS and in Chrome, Gmail, etc. are fine for most users.

  • Boom! Just in time for me … nice deal!

  • Just got charged but no order info, no email confirmation
    Just deduction from my bank…

Edit: all good now, resolved with support

    • I was the same. Added this to cart, paid with paypal and by the time I was redirected back to site cart was empty with no invoice details lol. All sorted now, good customer service resolving the problem.

Thanks also op for finding the deal. :)
