Xiaomi Genuine Leather Bifold Wallet - Brown Colour USD $15.99 (~AUD $20.48) Shipped @ GearBest

300
AUskyBifold

UPDATE: This has now become a deal. Only in Brown though. GB does not have enough stock on hand to discount on the Black colour.

For 20 bucks you get a decent looking genuine leather bifold wallet. The Black colour will set you back a further $12, at $32 it still isn't too bad.

lol they make everything now don't they?

    • Everything and then some.

Question is, how 'smart' are these wallets?

    No Band 28, No deal!

I'm calling my new band "Band 28".
      Guaranteed success!

  • +2

Will this communicate with my Xiaomi Gateway, so my Chinese overlords know how much cash I carry?

    • +1

Don't give them anymore ideas, please!

How many Eneloops needed to power this?

    No space for coins

    • Coins are not tracked, unfortunately.

    • +2

      …unlimited space for bitcoins

      • +1

Just takes a lot of processing time to fish them out though.

    • +1

For some, that's a bonus. I hate carrying coins around. Usually if I use cash, I'll just chuck it in my pocket/bag/etc and dump it somewhere when I get home. Eventually I have heaps of the buggers and get them exchanged at the bank for more… useful money.

    • +1

This is a feature not a bug.

    • No coin pocket is a plus for me. Tempted to grab one of these.

    • +1

It's been on sale for a while but that's why I didn't buy.

  • Should have bluetooth and connected to phone or smart watch so we can see how much we have

  • So outdated. Who uses cash these days

    • +1

      Drug dealers

    • Shady business that are all cash in hand.

    • Asians.

      Source: live in Japan.

      • Not all asians. Japanese don't like credit cards.

        • I mean basically everyone here has a credit card which they use to pay their bills etc. But out and about in shops, it's all cash all the time. Even the dudes here carry long girly wallets because it's considered bad manners to bend/fold money and then give it to somebody. So everybody is carrying around clean crisp banknotes all the time.

      • Dodged a bullet right there buddy.

Do Australia a favour. The next time you go into a Chinese run business that only takes cash, just call the ATO. The workers are paid cash, they convert the money to WeChat funds in any local Chinatown. Then they send it back to family members in China.

Take your jobs and don't pay tax. Win win for China. Not so good for Australians.

        • Doesn't only apply to Chinese, but definitely applies to many (most?) Chinese.

        • +2

@ Risto - You would have been right at home in the Victorian goldfields in the 1850s.

        • -1

@jackspratt: the gold fields will be Chinese ones soon. I'm not talking about all Chinese. Just look at the ones in cash only environments and check the visas on the employees whilst at it. I'm not being racist, just pointing out some facts.

        • +1

Do Australia a favour. The next time you go into an Aussie run business that only takes cash, just call the ATO. The workers are paid cash, they dont even have to convert the money to any Yobotown. They dont send it back to family members in Australia but just pocket it.

Take your jobs and dont pay tax. Win win for Australia!? Not so good for Chaaaieena.

How about telling Turnbull to stop wasting our tax on already inferior NBN tech… And to stop legally offloading his millions of $ of investments on tax free haven countries…

        • @Risto

The fact that u buy xiaomi stuff offshore aint really supporting our economy. Ey…

        • -1

@im: Almost a valid response. But if the business is Australian with Australian employees, the cash stays here and is spent here instead of going back to mama in China. You can look up Uncle Xi's relationship with Panama here. You won't see it in China ;-)
          https://www.economist.com/news/china/21696504-panama-papers-…
          Enjoy!

        • @im: It's cheap and cheery. When it isn't, I won't be buying from China. Japan is a good example of how things can change rather quickly.

  • Portable Wallet… I'd hope so

  • +1

No, you cannot store your #Crypto coins in these…

Is genuine leather smelly? Because I don't like smelly leather.

    Xiaomi the money!!

    • +1

      Hahahaha. Excellent!

    • Xiaomi is also making StarCraft 3

  • It actually looks pretty decent, will buy it if comes down to 15$. Does it have RFID blocking?

    • +1

I don't think so. Otherwise, how can it transmit stolen data to the Xiaomi Gateway!?

  • +1

Excellent post OP! If only I needed another wallet …

If you did, Clayleyau would be more than happy to help.

      • No, I am not worthy!

  • Will this hold my Xiaomi Pistons?

UPDATE: To those who are interested in this wallet, stay tuned as a code is possibly coming up for you.

    • 15$ or no deal.

      • +1

Will update once I'm apprised of the discounted price. Looking at the product seriously, I'd say between USD$15 to $18 is reasonable if Xiaomi backed a good manufacturer that uses high quality, genuine leather. You'd be stretching it if you expected AUD$15. I don't think you can find a reasonably good looking black leather wallet at $15 Aussie molars at Quicksilver, Billabong or Roger David.

        • +1

I posted the wallet for $22.99 US six months ago. Use that as your starting price and push down 😜

        • Any luck with this mate?

        • +2

@f1ng3rs: What do you mean? Post has been updated with a code. The brown colour wallet available at a discount.

      • +1

I got US$15.99, in Brown colour only though. Use code "AUskyBifold".

        • Any idea on when the Black will be the same price?

  • Do they have it for woman

  • Code expired!

    • +1

Nope, just tested, still working as at midnight 04/01. Make sure you're logged in and if it doesn't work try with another account.

  • A$12-15 and I'm sold. Too many wallets currently.
