Keep you're receipt if you buy a cheap powerbank from these guys.
They love to offload bulk crap that's just about to die .

They convinced me I wouldn't even need a receipt if I needed to return a cheap powerbank .

Not so , ' How do we even know you bought it here ' they said
So, unless you want to be called a liar as well.

Rightly said BB. Most Laser products especially the power banks look so cheap almost rubbish quality.

    • I have this generic powerbank equivalent from Kogan. Been running okay for the past 5 years. I use it maybe like once a month or two.
There's not a lot of charge but it keeps my phone a live long enough until I get home.

It's $6 and light lol. I don't need that $30 Xiaomi one that can power my entire house.

      • I bought the laser powerbank from big w for $5 around 5-6 months ago and its ok for what it is. I don't use the included cable cause I had a smaller one from my previous powerbank but it's doing the job on a regular basis of powering an old smartphone that has terrible battery life and its light to carry.

    • FYI - The Harvey Norman POS system keeps track of your purchases if you use your mobile number or other identifying piece of info (at least my local does). I needed it when I lost the receipt of a split system I had purchased 6 years earlier. I asked them to reprint the original receipt, took them 30 seconds max.

Any one had any experience with Inca 4K Action camera? Is it worth buying for occasional use (snorkelling).

    • I dont know if its the same but design looks exactly the same. Bought F60 4K from gearbest and its not too bad for recording. I record sports and quality is alright for being cheap. Have not tried underwater however.

      • Is it really 4K though?

        • Its bad quality at 4K, low frames

  • Does anyone know if HN refund the price difference if an item goes on sale within so many days of being purchased? I had a look at the website but can't seem to find anything.

    • buy one & return with old receipt :)

HN no change of mind returns

        • Tell them it was sold to you on the basis of being fit for purpose. But it is not.

This video is pretty conclusive on the quality of the Inca action cam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chg2wcryz1w

    • Haha yeah, anyone who expect this cheap Inca cam to have to same video quality as the expensive GoPro 6 must be naive or an idiot.

      • +4

While the GoPro is certainly better, it’s not $500+ better. For those that don’t have the disposable income, the inka is a reasonable alternative @ $47. Might get one just for a further comparison with my 5 Black.

        • +1

You can definite buy one or two as a disposable action cam where you don't mind damaging or losing it.

        • +1

Yep, with a gimble for stability these produce great video. I bought the version with a built in flashlight, which go pro doesn't have. Bought for around $38 online.

However, on mine the date function keeps resetting so the order of videos and photos gets all messed up. Also the battery holding latch is too flimsy and the battery can fall out. Battery life and video quality is excellent though for shooting 720/ 1080/ 2k. My Sdcard wasnt up for 4k.

  • These laser power an suitable are utter junk

    • +2

Laser stuff has been junk for years with their cheap CD cases and blank discs back in the day

  • Is there a difference between the HN Fetch Mighty listed, and the one TGG have on ebay?
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-FETCH-TV-M616T-Mighty-4-Tune…

    • +1

They're both model M616T therefore should be identical.

  • Got one of those HP printers for Christmas and they’re actually pretty good.
Came with bugger all ink though.

    • Thanks. Been looking for a new printer. Anyone else have any thoughts about the HP Deskjet 3632?

      • I haven’t owned a printer in years and it’s nifty. Can just plug it in to power and hide it away somewhere as it has wifi printing. The app is really good.

      • Highly recommend. Good quality print, wireless excellent. Scanner average quality.
Expect to change the ink after a few weeks of printing - this is common, the cartridges supplied are almost for demonstration.

I would recommend NOT upgrading the firmware in the printer (I have even blocked Internet access for the printer in my router). There has been horror stories of HP firmware updates blocking non HP cartridges that work perfectly well.

I got non HP High capacity colour and BW cartridges from ebay for $29 for both (HP 63XL). They have lasted ages. HP cartridges cost the earth, this is why they can almost give the printers away.. Their loss, my gain.

        • Just wondering can you block the internet access of the printer but also do wireless printing at the same time?

Currently looking at getting a semi-decent wireless printer and your anecdote has me leaning towards this.

        • @baktiar77:
Depends on your router but I simply set a firewall rule within the router to disable Internet access to the MAC ID (hardware ID) of the printer (or you can assign a static IP to the printer based on it's hardware ID and then deny Internet access to that IP address).

Remember this is the Printer Internet Access only so any wireless communications on your Local Area Network (home network) is allowed, so you can print via wireless but if the printer wanted to automatically updated the firmware, it cant.

There is a reason to be concerned if you want to use non HP cartridges, from HP DeskJet 3630 Support:-
This printer is enabled with dynamic security. It is intended for use with cartridges using only HP original electronic circuitry. Ink cartridges using modified or non-HP electronic circuitry may not work, and those that work today may not work in the future.

        • Thanks, m. Very useful info.

    • Can't find anything on the net, but does this printer have rear feed to allow for thicker paper stock to go through?

Negotiated a gold Huawei Nova2 from Bing Lee for $335 last week. Great phone for the price! HN matched but could only offer the black.

    • +1

what price did bing lee have it advertised for?

    • Hi mate, how did you get it at this price is there anyway of sharing the receipt I'm going to buy this from Harvey Norman and might get them to match this price.

Don't bother with the Laser brand. Utter rubbish.

  • I want a selfie stick to kick the year. I reckon I'm going to look glam!

Can vouch for the $10 tripod. Dont use it in a rough way or professionally, just occasion indoors/outdoors mainly. Bought it for $10(was going for $29) in 2017

      That's so last year dude

  • $6 not worth powerbank

  • I bought the Inca 4K Action Cam, cannot use the app. I. e. cannot connect to the Wifi, password is showing up as 12345, but needs to be minimum of 8 digits. Anybody has the same issue? Where can I find a Firmware update?
