    Thanks for posting!

Can this be used in conjunction with the referral links?

If we've used other booking.com cashback promotions (ie: the one linked in the post) can we also use this one?

    • +1

I don't think a referral and cashback will work together as they have different links and it won't track them both.

Second question, yes, as long as it abides by terms and conditions such as 1 booking per campaign and max. 3 campaigns per year.

Booking.com will only recognize one Eligible Reservation per Participant per campaign to count for an Incentive Bonus. Participants may only receive Incentive Bonuses from a maximum of 3 different campaigns per year, including Refer-a-Friend campaigns.

      • Is that calendar year?

    Spend $200 USD (~ $102 AUD)

    Wow, what an exchange rate!!

    • Fixed, thanks!

  • Spend $200 USD != $102 AUD, have another look at your title.

    • Already fixed! Thanks, you guys are quick.

      • Haha, apparently I am not as quick as doweyy though. Good stuff

        • That's what she said

  • If I've used the Spend $80 & get $40 back deal, am I still eligible for this one?

    • Yes.

      • Thanks!

  • What is the best way of paying for this in USD to minimise the charges involved with currency conversion?

    • +1

Citibank Plus account with linked debit card is a popular option for OzBargainers:

      https://www.citibank.com.au/aus/banking/everyday_banking/cit…

      • Unfortunately which at the moment I don't have, but will be applying for one soon.

        • You can list hotel prices in AUD on booking.com. I don't think there is much difference with conversions.

        • @tranter: Cool, thanks, will check out how it compares with Booking.com.au

  • Not as good as spend $80, receive $40 cashback but better than nothing for the new year!

I reckon it's equally good for me. Was looking for two nights for Aussie Day, so would have been way over $80 anyway!
    Thanks heaps OP!

  • What are my chances of this one working, if I’ve already used the previous $200/$40 deal and both are for the same holiday this May? I realise it’s a new deal / new year, but unsure if both are being used in the same period.

    • It's a different promotion so there should be no problem.

      • Thanks I’ll let you know in 5 months…

        • Also note in terms and conditions max. 3 promotions per year:

Participants may only receive Incentive Bonuses from a maximum of 3 different campaigns per year, including Refer-a-Friend campaigns.

        • @tranter: So do you think I can “receive” 3 for bookings made in 2017, and “receive” 3 for bookings made in 2018, but all 6 are being claimed for stays in 2018? Never mind, I’ll telll you when I find out myself in 5 months.

Am I eligible if I make the booking online, and pay at the hotel?

    • +1

Yes, just save your nominated credit card details under Settings in your booking.com account.

      • Thanks Tranter

      • I booked with Amex on website then realized they surcharge 2.5% hence updated with Visa at "Manage Your Booking" on app, would I be charged on Visa instead of Amex when I arrive hotel? and I saved my nominated card for cash back with Amex under Settings, is it OK?

        • You can pay however you like at the hotel. Amex is not accepted for cashback as stated in the terms and conditions I linked to in original post.

        • @tranter: cool, thanks. so far the hotel I booked charged me x3 times for same booking, looks like im gonna have something complimented when Im there

    • yes i just did that for a booking later this year, got US$40 cashback confirmation email :) thanks OP

      • did u get the USD 40 cashback confirmation email right away after you made the booking?
I just made a booking but havent got one so bit concerned it didn't track it correctly..

  • Does this stack with a coupon as well? Otherwise its really only good for short stays? So if spending $500 then a 15% code is better?

    • +1

Please share promo code for 15%? Thanks

  • Ive browse through the T&C, can anyone confirm if this promotion can only be used ONCE per account?

    • Yes

  • I might be having an off day, but does this mean that you get $40 back for each $200 spent? Or is it only for the first $200 of the booking? Will be booking 2 nights that will end up being over US$600 so if I get $120 back that would be amazing…. but I think maybe a bit generous lol. Can someone confirm for me? I am having a slow day and couldn't work it out when I skimmed the conditions.

    • Only $40 back on the entire booking over a $200 minimum spend, not $40 per $200.

      • Yeah I figured. Thanks for the quick reply! Still a great deal.

  • How long until people got their cash back? I'm getting a run around from customer service saying it's been processed and takes 5-30 working days, despite the email clearly saying 5-7. Stay was completed 26/11/2017.

    • I am getting the run around as well! I also stayed in November and ticked the box to get the reward and they said I didn't. I had to provide a screenshot until they conceded I can get the reward.

They confirmed on 12 Dec that it will take 10 business days not including public holidays. I followed up last week and they said that it hasn't been 10 business days yet - which is BS!

    • +1

I booked from 28th of Nov to 7th of Dec and got my cashback maybe a week or two ago.

    • How do you contact them? i go round in circles on the site but can't find a form.

  • Amex?

    • No

      • Thanks for reply

  • Can I use a cba debit card and still get the offer?

  • Do all bookings get this cashback or is a special link or code?

    • You have to follow the link where it says Go to Deal. You should then see the cashback banner at the top of the page.

  • Will it work if I have booked a week before this promo and if now I add my cc and pay it at the hotel ?

    • Gotta book via link in deal post. Try cancelling your booking and rebook.

  • I reserved a hotel for my trip in April. I 'paid' in AUD but they won't take the money until the trip. Will I still get the cashback once I've paid for it in April?

  • How long is this going for? I am either blind, or it isn't in the T&C's.

    • +1

No expiry date. They usually expire with no notice.

  • What is the sure tell signs that the booking is tracked correctly for this cashback?

When I paid for my booking, it says "To get your reward, you'll need to provide us with a credit card".
Does that indicate my booking was correctly tracked/eligible for this USD 40 cashaback as otherwise that sentence won't be there?

  • How exactly do you get Cashrewards cashback AND this deal?

    • +1

You can't. The transaction won't track, Booking.com/CR will reject any claims.

Use of any Booking.com refer-a-friend or incentive offers/links will invalidate any cashback and/or any cashback claims, including our cashback guarantee.

  • didn't receive cashback
