FREE: St John Ambulance Click-to-Save Online First Aid Course with Certificate

3220

It has been 18 months since this was posted so just a reminder for those who didn't know it was available or to refresh your First Aid Certificate. It is a very important skill to have and if this helps save just one life, then the course has done it's job. This first aid course will provide you with an essential reference to help to identify the first aid appropriate in an emergency.

Quick and easy to do. Just register, do the course and exam. You can even print out your certificate if that tickles your fancy!

Please note that this isn't a replacement for the accredited course you need for certain occupations, but is a tool to help everyone being able to possibly save a life in the case of emergency. In the event of an emergency, always make sure someone calls '000' as well.

Why is the web form on an insecure page, therefore all details are not protected? Seems dodgy.

@swapsey: looks like someone's never been exposed to tongue-in-cheek comments.. i think you're the one busy judging to extrapolate the wrong connotation of my comment.

        • @swapsey: ^ can't fix stupid

@eskylidder: Yeah i noticed and appreciated your input. I was commenting on the other one who was name calling and continues to do so. Some people never grow up!

We're all lazy in some way, it's not the end of the world or a horrible thing. It's being human.

If only there were free ALS courses.

    • What would they teach there? Psychological aspects?

    • +4

      No

Please read the deal description. It clearly states the following:

Please note that this isn't a replacement for the accredited course you need for certain occupations

  • When will the offer finish? Is it a safe website?

    • Never, yes.

    • +7

Why do they offer them for free if they don't want people to take them?

    • Downloading a PDF wouldn't cost them too much.

knowing orpheus, he'd make sure they've never made a purchase on eBay before offering first aid

  • +2

Free through my work but everyone should do some sort of first aid training every 3 years, even if it's just online.

  • +2

What do they do with your details? 100% purely for the cert?

    • +2

Sell them on the black market to turn a profit

      • +1

        Awesome :)

  • Can I do this and put down that I've done a First Aid Course on my CV?

    • +4

No. This is not the recognised First aid certificate.

But then again people write a whole lot of bs in their CVs

    • +1

It is a 'first aid course' . It is an online first aid course, but a first aid course nonetheless

  • Now in a crash, 20 people will get out of cars with first aid kits

St John Ambulance Click-to-Save Online First Aid Course with Certificate

Ahh, a free online first aid certificate that's not a recognized certificate. Now I'm ready for first free skydiving jump with my free online certificate. Pump my heart ute-man.

    My neg finger is twitching.

    • +6

Not everything is about being "recognized". Its more important to save a life or prevent serious injury and/or disability, rather than worry about recognition.
If it is for a job that requires a recognized certificate, obviously people should look elsewhere (and pay) for a 'recognized' firt aid course.

Wow, can't believe there's this much negativity and angst regarding a free online first aid course.

Thank you OP. I for one am grateful for the reminder of this. I did a formal course two years ago when my husband had a minor heart attack, but this course is a good refresher and excellent for people who haven't done a formal course and want to know the basics.

Thanks, just completed this. Very useful.

Knowledge is power and you never know when you might need it to help someone. Hopefully the information sticks.

  • How long does the course take? Should I just do it now while I'm already wasting time on ozbargain, or put it on the to do list and probably never get to it… or maybe just before the udemy ones I've lined up??

  • I need to renew my first aid in a few months for work, thought for a sec I found a nice way out of paying for it, bugger.
