      I believe it works with the Mi Home app. To get it working with Google Home, you'll need to use something like Home Assistant (hass.io) to talk to the Mi Gateway and to talk to Google Home. You'll need the Gateway regardless.

        I thought it worked directly if you use the Singapore server? Mine is still in the mail, but I thought I read that in some previous posts.

          Yeelight works directly with Google Home when using singapore server. You can set the Mi Home app to Singapore, but I'm not certain if the gateway works with that (I think it needs to be set to mainland China to work)… I have the gateway, but Mi Home set to mainland China, I have my Yeelights working with Google Home but setup using the Yeeight app which is set to Singapore.

          @Ttam: That might be what I'm thinking about. The lights work via Singapore, but nothing else. I have a Xiaofang IP camera that I tried to set up today on the Singapore server and it wouldn't work, but it works fine when set to mainland China.

    If it’s ‘zigbee version’ does that mean it won’t work with other xiaomi stuff that is non-zigbee? Or is zigbee compatibility just an added feature?

        My mind was processing so hard i could hear it ticking. Considered wet baby poop monitor to detect small rise in humidity that would set it off if the aircon was off for a period of time and somehow trigger my aircon…

        And THEN I saw my mistake.
