With Micro USB you always seem to have to try and plug it in 3 times before you get the connector the right way haha. USB C doesn't matter which way, like iPhone cables.
usb type c is much stronger and more durable
you can get one of those usb c flexible arm charging stand things that support itself on just the port, the same product cant be made using microusb

Charge speed is still the same, and from what I've seen transfer speed is still the same. Next to no benefits when it comes to phones
Correct. For some reason I can't find a QC3.0 charger that has two QC ports so I can charge one device with microusb cable and other with type C

Ah, well. In that case, even without knowing what your model is, I can tell you your OPO has better parts. The Redmi line is Xiaomi's budget line. Their Mi line is their premium line.

Depending on which benchmarks you look at, the OnePlus has slightly better performance.
The photos of the OnePlus seem to have better colour, and can take 60fps videos. I'm surprised the Redmi 5 PLus can't, to be honest.
The battery is good upgrade.
If you want a similarly performing phone with a bigger battery, get this. Otherwise, check out the Mi line of phones.

If you click through the seller's ads of other phones, some say 8-16 days, some say 11-19 days and some 21-28 days, all with DHL. My experience with DHL is closer to 8 days than 29 days with this seller.

@sivshen: this phone isn't the global version cos the global version comes in the box sealed with global ROM.
The reason they are flashing the ROM is because the global ROM for this phone only got released in the last week or so, and would need flashing over the top of the Chinese ROM
