According to the description:

  • Our team worked hard so that you can join Last Minute Travel Club for FREE!
Use promo code APPFREECLUB to redeem your free club membership.

You can sign up for free and then log in through your browser for a better navigation experience.

I don't know if there is an app for Windows phones or if the code would work directly on the website, but you are free to try if you want.

It has been discussed previously over here how good this website can be sometimes in regards to savings.

Enjoy :)

UPDATE:
After the help of a few fellow OzBargainers and some research on the internet, please find below a better explanation of the deal and the websites involved.

The most important part is: 1 free year of membership to Last minute Travel (lastminutetravel.com) and Last Minute Travel Club (lmtclub.com).

They are separate websites for the same company. One is the main travel agency (Last Minute Travel) and the other one is the exclusive club of that agency (Last Minute Travel Club). According to some reviews I found online

There is a difference between Last Minute Travel ("LMT"), and Last Minute Travel Club (LMT Club). It's only the latter that has a membership (which has recently been free with the code).
Last Minute Travel is similar to Hotwire - they don't always tell you the name of the hotel. LMT Club does tell you the name of the hotel when you log on.

Now, in regards to the first coupon (APPFREECLUB), you have to sign up through the mobile app and it will give you access to Club prices. As a matter of fact, when you look at your profile in the app, it will say that you are a "Club member". Furthermore, I compared the prices on LMT Club on a web browser with my old LMT Club account and the phone app with a newly created app membership for this purpose, for a 2 night stay in Las Vegas and the prices were the same. Heck, even the order of presentation of the hotels were the same.

@zzymurgy explained on the comments that one could use the code on the lastminutetravel.com website too and it would work to log into the app as well.

Now, by signing up through this first deal, at the moment you only get direct access to the App and to lastminutetravel.com, not to lmtclub.com. However, I found out that while on lastminutetravel.com on a web browser, if you pick any other option to book besides 'hotel', it will take you to the Club website and you will still be logged on (your credentials will show up at the top menu). Why is that? Who knows, but it might change in the future (might take 24 hours to gain access directly to the club website or who knows).

Now, if you want to log in to lmtclub.com directly through a web browser, there is the second deal that @yoquierotaco so kindly provided. This is, sign up on that website using the code MONEYSAVER. It is supposed to be lifetime, although it only gave me a year's fee discount (just like with the other code). It also asked me for a credit card number, however, I left the page and it redirected to the main menu by itself, so once again, I have no idea what is going on.

Last Minute Travel Club is a great option to those who are looking to travel to the U.S. It has been discussed before here at OzBargain in places like this(which I also posted), this and this.

If you liked the deal or have used it, please upvote :)

Happy travels!!!

Strange to note that i can't log into lmtclub.com/ but can log into https://www.lastminutetravel.com/. Is the first website a scam website or something?

  • +1

I signed up on the main website for free and now I can access the app as a member.

    Am I missing something here?

    • Same over here, says I’m a lifetime member for free already, not sure what the $50 per year is?

  • I've just spent the last 15 minutes comparing Wotif and LMTC and most times LMTC wins. Often by not much, but this will definitely become part of my routine for the next 12 months when booking acomm. Thanks OP.

    • +7

FYI Wotif generally does not have very good prices. Try Orbitz or Cheaptickets using one of the promo codes posted on Ozbargain

    sorry what is this?

      portable travel agency =)

  • +1

The coupon appears to works fine when signing up via web

  • Is the site?
    https://www.lmtclub.com
Worked by signing up thru the App.

  • thanks for the post, that will come in handy.

Saying that, anyone else notice alot of hotels missing from Lastminute?

  • signed up Thanks

  • +2

The code worked, didn't need the app. Thanks OP.

      That's great! I'll update the post :)

(An upvote on the deal would be nice if it worked well for you, hehe)

  • +1

My status already shows 'Club member', expiration 'Lifetime' and Fee 'free' without using any coupon while registering.

Is this what this coupon is intended to do?

    • mine show expiry after 1 year

    • Mine just says standard member and nothing else :(

    • +1

When and how did you join to get the lifetime membership?

      • This deal.

        OP said

It doesn't show an expiration date, so I would try to subscribe ASAP.

  • I think this one works only with US dollars price listing, last time i booked without noting that and ended up cancelling the booking(no fee) by calling their customer care team.

    • In the Android app you can change the settings to show prices in AUD. Though I am not sure if this stays true when booking!

      • I did it. But when I go back search the flights, its in Usd again :(

        • Ugh, hate that. Worked ok on a couple of hotel searches for me.

  • Just downloaded and tried to sign up..but apparently I already have a lifetime membership.

Guess I must have signed up years ago and forgot about it

  • Me too. Says that I joined today but in fact I joined a year ago.

  • just wonder do i have to enter credit card details? thanks

    • I didn't have to when I signed up. so no.

  • Just tried a dummy flight booking and surely their prices can't be correct.
$222USD return BNE-CNS with Virgin - that's cheaper than Tiger or Jetstar.

    • That's around $140 each way, don't think that's that cheap. Jetstar often have $75 ea way.

      • +1

Full service airline against low cost, it does sound like a good deal if you are going for the former…

      • Just try and get it for $75 in 2 weeks like I did with the dummy booking and then if you do add your seat selection bag and food and see how it compares.

        • Yeah fair enough, but you were the one that said cheaper than Jetstar or tiger. Good if it let's you get a better deal at short notice.

  • +21

Not sure if this is any different, but promo code "MONEYSAVER" gives you lifetime membership

    • +1

Can confirm that while APPFREECLUB has an expiry date, MONEYSAVER says "lifetime". Would suggest updating the deal.

      • Thanks. Does anyone know how to upgrade from 1 year to lifetime membership without creating another new account? I have already used APPFREECLUB code.

  • +1

    Code moneysaver worked !

  • Code MONEYSAVER worked for me too. Thanks so much OP and yoquierotaco. I'm going to Sydney if 3 weeks and need to look for accomodation. Hopefully this will help. :-)

  • anyone had experience with them, the flight prices I'm looking at is too good to be true, total is less $1k compared to booking direct.

  • -1

Code didn't work for moi. Waste of a download

  • +1

Download App and find out I am a life time member for 3 years

    • So, better get that bucket list set for the next 3 years? :(

  • +1

So when booking, are you paying AUD/USD or the local dollar. I can't see where it's stipulated.

    • default is USD but you can use the drop down to select AUD

  • MONEYSAVER worked for me too. Thanks!

  • Worked on full website "have a promo code" with APPFREECLUB

Tried first with a throwaway email and then properly.

  • +2

If you sign up through the web use lastminutetravel.com not lmtclub.com. The later will not accept the promotion codes and the login in for lastminutetravel.com and the app cannot be used at lmtclub.com

  • The "moneysaver" promo code works for me as well, and it gives lifetime instead of 1 year free membership.

  • Can someone please confirm if the price shown under Reservation Details would be in AUD if account is set to AUD or if it shows in USD?

  • MONEYSAVER worked for me. Thanks :)

  • +1

Confirmed MONEYSAVER worked and it gave lifetime membership but i had to sign up via the App (website didn't work). Thanks alot!

  • Oh ship! I used APPFREECLUB code and now I am member for one year only. Why don’t we remove that code or at least make it very clear in post description to prefer lifetime money saver code

  • I couldn't get MONEYSAVER to work on the Android app, so I went to lastminutetravel.com and the code worked there.

  • +2

I joined LMT 5 years ago and they had really good prices ( I stayed in the Boston Marriott for $115 USD/night) but over the last couple years have found better prices through other websites. I believe they were bought out a couple years ago - which was when I noticed prices weren’t as good as they used to be. Still some good value.
But check out prices on attractions I found them to cheaper on there.

    • Do you have a fave site for USA hotel and travels?

  • whats the dif between this site and iwantthatflight

  • After changing the currency to AUD then refreshing the app, it still shows USD… any ideas?
