      Also that it's dual core

It's 2018 the lowest core count that should be available is a quad core

      • end or rant
      • +1

        Rant for sure

        • To be honest I have a laptop with a 2540m dual core and it's still a capable machine and if these CPUs are lga instead of bga you can always upgrade them to a better cpu (motherboard depending) for cheap later on

        • @DrunkTechSupport:

For reference nearly all are BGA (soldered in). Some very high end workstations are swappable, but I'd say almost no consume ones are.

How's a DVD burner a bad thing? Many people using old hardware would appreciate it.

      • +8

it's actually great. you remove it and replace it with a large capacity HDD in a caddy for file storage.

    • +10

Normally I'd agree with you, but for $270 lol? A hd screen is plenty! If you're after a bargain laptop this looks pretty good.

      • +14

Yep! Don't forget that a 256GB SSD is already like $120 and 8GB RAM is like $100 - so really, you're paying $50 for everything else.

Seems like we are too cheap to have perspective these days. Cheap for this guy would be the same price but with a HD screen and BD writer.

  • What's the quality of refurbished item from GO? Has anyone got any experience with the warranty?

    • I was actually quite surprised with how good the warranty was. Bought a refurbished Lenovo X260 from them last year, came with 3 year Lenovo Warranty - you can check through their Lenovo companion app.

      • +1

I think it said 12 Months warranty managed by grays-online?

    • +5

Lenovo cancels any remaining warranty on items sold by GO, sometimes they take a few months to do it. I think you only get a warranty provided by GO, not sure how they are to deal with.

  • I purhcased a cheap laptop whose battery didnt work from day one,

From contacting the repair centre, to having the battery replaced was like 2 -3 days,

    very impressed

22 sold in one hour. 2 left. Should be broadened by the time I finish typing this.

    Good deal OP

  • good price

  • Last week got a refurbished laptops from GO. How to clean smoke smell?

    • +4

id be more worried about a smoke smell in the first place

      • Yes. Any possible.

        • Just give it a wipe down with anti-bacterial wipe (not the screen… use plain water for that), then just use it in an open area for a bit. The smell will disappear in time.

    • +5

I reckon smoke smell on a refurbished laptop is the best case scenario, btw how to remove pubes from the keyboard ?

      • +5

        With a straw.

        • Pro tip: blow, not suck.

        • @cheapoguy: Shhhhhh… let him figure it out for himself.

  • Is anyone receive postage notifications? Sent couple of email to this mob no response. No wonder why they have so low rating in ebay.

    • I only posted this deal at 8pm last night, how fast do you expect them to be?

    • +1

got mine delivered today.. .. and it took me few minutes to look for the power button !

      • Nice. What sort of condition was it in?

        • keyboard and touchpad seems a little bit 'dirty' even after wiping with wet tissues. overall performance not bad..
