@coolroy: I was asking a genuine question and people are downvoting the shit out my posts lol savages.

      • -1

I don't know why you getting a neg. Seems to be a valid question

        • I was asking a genuine question, not sure why people are so on edge lol

      • +2

Takes up less space in the house, probably safer to have around kids, in certain cases easier to setup and can use the space where a huge TV unit would be for something else

    • +1

It's a bit weird when they call a projector as 'TV'

    • +5

Absolutely love ordering these last minute stocking fillers! Staff from my 2nd biggest yacht will enjoy this.

      • is that you @rosebank?

        • Nuh. Great grandson of Christopher Skase.

    • You should put the $300 gift card in title definitely makes it a more enticing deal

    • +2

I have been using this on dedicated theatre room for roughly a year now and apart from VIDAA OS it's amazing value for what it costs, you can easily watch things even during day with curtains wide open but its best suited for dark environments, I've hooked up a 4k Apple TV box, HDR performance is meh but overall if you want a big boi this is prob best value for money out there with local warranty.

    • +2

I recently watched one of these (or a similar model) on an ALR screen in a very bright JB-Hifi, and the detail, clarity, and brightness blew me away.
I will get one of the short-throw laser projectors when my primary TV needs replacing unless large OLED prices drop dramatically.

      • +2

They perform extremely well compared with traditional projectors with white screens in a bright room.

You can't compare it to an OLED screen, but watching films on a 120 inch ALR/UST screen with Dolby Vision / HDR in 4K they look exceptionally great especially at night.

Having a private cinema is great and TV's cant provide that kind of entertainment just yet at an affordable price.

    • Can anyone comment on how these are compared to traditional roof projectors? Most shops seem to say stick to conventional projection if you have the room for it, but no one can properly explain why

      • Might be because the shops make more on overhead projectors, a Sony 4K LED laser overhead equivalent to this short throw will cost you $10,000.

      • +2

Why is because long throw projectors still beat UST in image quality. So if you dont need tbe UST specific benefits long throw is better. You CAN find explanations and comparisons on that but I'm speaking as a projector user for 30 years (not the same one LOL).

BTW you can use an ALR screen with long throw projectors too you know (but a different kind to UST), its not the screens that define which category of projector is capable of a superior image.

    ION F11-850VA UPS $42.50 (was $85) @ Bunnings In-Store

According to Nrby there's plenty of stores with 1-4 instock. Interestingly all the Tassie stores I found with 1 instock aren't listed there.

    TP-Link KASA KP115 Smart Plug With Energy Monitoring $7.29 (was $14.57) @ Bunnings In-Store

Very, very limited stock left. If you happen to live in Traralgon or Alice Springs you might be in luck.

    • Thanks Clear. UPS was in stock at Warwick, Qld, but staff told wife price was $160 and wouldn't be moved.

      • +1

That's annoying. Officially they're not supposed to price match other stores but some will do it anyway.

  • Merged from Laser 7" (NAVC-BHUD-982) Carplay & Android Auto Touchscreen $118.30 Delivered @ BigW
    Go to Deal

Add Carplay/Android Auto Navigation, Entertainment and Bluetooth calls and audio to your "dumb" headunit.

Previously $138+delivery at Bing Lee before Christmas

Don't forget cachback to further reduce the out of pocket cost!

For those interested (it's not dicounted, but a decent standard price), you may want top add the official Laser Add-On Reverse Camera to your cart for $28.

Description from Laser.com.au…of 7" CarPlay & Android Auto Touchscreen: Drive Smart NAVC-BHUD-982

Create a powerful and convenient to use entertainment system inside your car with the Navig8r 7-inch Portable CarPlay/Android Auto Touchscreen Display.
    Key Features

Made with a 7-inch display for optimal viewing
Features a wireless connection for convenient, hands-free connectivity
Simply instruct and read out your messages (S2T) and your speech is conveniently converted to text
Comes with a choice of preset stations on the device, allowing you to enjoy audio from the car's audio system

    • Does it have a way to play audio via the car's audio system? Not clear from the description. It mentions something about an FM transmitter, but it talks about radio stations not sharing the device audio.

      • +1

FM transmitter - with a choice of preset stations on the device, simply tune your FM radio to one of the preset stations and enjoy audio from the cars audio system. Alternately there is a built in speaker in the device if you dont want to use the cars stereo

      • +1

I would assume it casts any audio over the FM transmitter

    • +1

Slightly off topic but what would I look for if I wanted something like this but doesn't need to attach to my phone? Previously we had a Joying 7" head unit that connected to in-car WiFi (an optus mobile broadband dongle connected to the cigarette lighter) and also had a wiring harness which wired up to ingcar speakers, so no phone needed. It had access to the full play store so we could download radio apps etc. Do they even make this type of setup anymore? Seems like everyone is going for Android auto but I don't want to use my phone at all.

      • Latest Android headunit for your specific car would work best. I'm running a unit in my i30 that looks like a factory item but runs full android similar to your Joying.
I noticed there is a big variation in specs though from seller to seller

        • I've got an old Outlander so not sure they would make one specific to my car. I took out the stock single din radio and tape deck and replaced the fascia with a proper double din mount so when the Joying was installed it looked factory. Watched a lot of YouTube to figure it out but it's been years since.

I wonder if I could just replace with any double din 7" Android head unit. Seems like the brand label ones use carplay though, I need one with full Android.

Can I ask what brand is yours on your i30? Did you get it from ebay or a b&m retailer?

    • +1

No stock or available for delivery in NSW.

Also this transmits only via FM. The unit does not pair with car Bluetooth or has aux output.

On the plus side full year warranty, better than purchasing from AliExpress.

      • -1

While you get a warranty, you could get 2-3 from aliexpress for similar money

        • Only during AliExpress sales. Also this one has an IPS screen and USBC charging. Hard pressed to find similar from AliExpress for three times less. Happy to be proven wrong.

    • "Replace your old GPS and stop using the one that came with your car"

No need to be so pushy Laser 😂

  • Merged from Merida Reacto 6000 - Titan (Black) Medium $3,179.99 WA Local @Bikeplace

The Reacto 6000 combines the lightweight CF3 carbon frame with a Shimano 105 12 Speed Di2. $3179.99 looks like a good price.

Try price match/beat in 99bikes, I bought a Merida Scultura 6000 at $3299 from 99bikes with price match with Jonny Sprockets which was the lowest price I could found couple of weeks ago.

    • Good bike, great price, even the best colour!
Only one size available though (and only one bike in that size), you are in luck if this is your size.
99bikes does not have L as well though, so us long fellows are out of luck.

    • Out of stock across Melbourne

    • where did you see stock?

      • +1

No stock near me, but had no issue ordering for click and collect.

        • +1

They don't show stock but was able to click and collect at nearly every store within 5 km in Sydney.

          • @truongster: Yeah, I'm in Darwin so just the one store. Not sure why the deal was moved here. Maybe there was some confusion because it said out of stock?

    • Damn, OOS everywhere near me and can't purchase online as greyed out.. 😪

      • Old Guildford Officeworks has click and collect

      • +2

Out of stock, but ordered click and collect without issue just now. Delivery was an option as well.

        • Damn, I missed that delivery option. But grabbed 3 from that store for pickup. I'm interstate but asked my friend to pick it up and do what she wants with it.. 😅 Would have got it delivered to her door if I saw that earlier.. 😪 Fingers crossed it gets honoured. Thanks for the reply @truongster!

          • @WasBargain: Delivery was an option for me in WA but was $49.95 😄 I'll take my chances with pickup from the store thats a few minutes away from me. Collection mid next week it's telling me, got a feeling will end up being cancelled but give it a shot for $9. Thanks OP

Why order 3 if you can't even use them though?

    • It's showing $179 for me. Did I miss something?
      Thanks

      Sorry, found it.

    • +2

Was able to click and collect at store near me. Thanks

    • Just a sidenote to your original post.

Your posted board is apparently also magnetic.

      BUT.

The other example you listed, actually has the same sizing available at $179. I'm wondering if it may actually be the same product. If not, atleast a much closer comparison. 😅

      • +1

Just looking at the manual I see is that the old version actually includes 2x strong magnets but the new one doesn't (they specify in the listing "You will require super strong magnets, with the product code of JBC3M6POGB, for optimal use of the magnetic feature."

Mounting rail is different length but apart from that, it's a metal backed piece of glass so wouldn't expect much difference, a slightly revised package (listed weights are quite different though, maybe now thinner glass).

Noticed the old manual also says 8 year warranty (despite 12 months on page) but new manual doesn't mention warranty.

        • Haha, nice work. So I'm guessing the older version is the one in the deal and might actually be the better product? 🤔

  • Merged from [WA] Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Cylinder Mower Kit $99 (Was $249) in-Store Only @ Bunnings Cannington

For those asking, here is my receipt

    https://imgur.com/a/1voii1f

    • I’ve seen as low as $70 on the Ozito Cylinder FB group. Bought yesterday for $110 at Vermont South behind another gent who was asking for a price match. Great little unit for the money if you look after your lawn.

      • +1

Its really only useful for tiny lawns, I bought one for my mother in laws place where she has a tiny lawn and I dont have to move mine to her place and get grass everywhere. For a full size lawn, this is a no goer

        • And that's why you purchase additional batteries.

          • @chrism238: No, its not just a matter of additional batteries. The mower itself is as weak as piss.

Great for small lawns but you 100% have to keep an eye on it.

        • For a full size lawn, this is a no goer

It is used on plenty of decent sized lawns on the FB group. I use it on a 140 m2 front lawn easily.

    • +11

Damn… feel ripped off paying $140 now.
Can't comment on quality as it's still in the box of course

      • +13

        The OzB way.

    • is no longer accessible on the Bunnings website

      Isn't this it? https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-380mm-cordless-cyl…

      • +2

that is the skin only, this includes battery and charger

        • Yeah, just realised. Thanks for the correction. Quite the bargain with battery included.
