Pinnacle Workbench and Cupboard $89 @ Bunnings

80

In the interest of the last workbench deal albeit a much higher quality one, I saw this at Bunnings Chullora.

It is $89 and has more features than the standard workbench https://www.bunnings.com.au/pinnacle-compact-garage-workbenc… which include a cupboard.

Couldn't find it on the website so YMMV.

        If you read the packaging, they are normally included in this kit.

        Why is it a bargain? Has the price been reduced?

        • +1

          Compared to the stock one listed on the Bunnings site this includes an additional cabinet and shelf by the looks of it.

          Coupled with the fact it is the same price as the standard one would lead me to the impression it is a better deal.

          To answer your point about normal price; Bunnings have not listed as lower than RRP and I don't have any way of knowing the RRP as it is not listed on the website.

          @warney:

          Compared to the stock one listed on the Bunnings site this includes an additional cabinet and shelf by the looks of it.

          The one in your link has much wider shelves (55cm vs 48cm), so you can't really compare and say this one is a bargain because it has a cabinet.

          I think you're trying to give us too much spin warney…

          @warney: RRP is a term that has no meaning. It means nothing to a retailer of buyer. The important data is simply, how much has it been sold for historically. This is what bodies such as the ACCC rely on.

          eg ebay sales are generally breaching out trade practice as the end price generally is the same or more expensive. This is straight up criminal fraud designed to take advantage of vulnerable people. The retailer needs to show the discount is real, and bodies such as the ACCC would ask for records indicating the selling price over a relevant historical period - probably 3 to 6 months with a current ebay sale. The seller would need to prove their claim that it was actually sold for a more expensive price, for a period of time.

          I don't understand why they are not clamping down. Staff is the issue, but if they started charging per offence, crooks could be shut down, and the fines could finance the ACCC for years.

          @Major Mess:

          In this case though, the picture doesn't even show that the price has been reduced.

          For all we know, the price may have even been increased recently… There is no way of knowing without more details.

          @jv: Yeah…..OP should probably organise a meeting with the store manager to discuss the pricing trend of the product for the last 12 months. It's the only way to be sure.

        • @willsy01: Yep, that is what I do in this situation.

          Yeah…..

          Perhaps you should read the deal posting rules. Are you new here?

        • Does a price have to be reduced for it to be considered a bargain?

  • Had these at Oakleigh yesterday for anyone looking for one

    This should be RRP for this item, if not mentioned on website does not mean its cheaper than RRP but it's still a bargain

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to get Bunnings to deliver affordablely. Don't have car and relying on mates is too difficult. In Perth.

    • Uber it if not too far.

      Hey wait, you should get some free OLA vouchers,
      here you go https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/362865

      OLA is a new service like TAXIFY

      • Thanks but I feel they might object if they arrive and I wants to load a ladder or bag of cement into the car.

        • When pickup location is a Bunnings store they better know you wouldn't be alone :)

          Hey hope you are not thinking of taking them from your home on return trip, take a train to go to Bunnings as you might want to break the trip 10 times depending upon distance from Bunnings to your place to maximize OLA vouchers

        • @ozdesi: yes I would take other transport to the store.

  • My local Bunnings (Cannington, WA) is selling it for $68.90
