    I thought I have read somewhere that Left4dead2 had dropped to $5 before. Is this correct? Because it is currently $10 now and I don't mind waiting.

      dropped to $5USD when bought through a 4 pack.

      Single price seen sometimes for $7.50USD

      that said, I would pay $10 for it any day - the amount of hrs you pump into it (at least for me) is ridiculous.
      I would rather L4D2 than an entree at a restaurant.

    I bought close to all the games I ever want I acquired during the 5 day sale 2 weeks ago….isn't anything(yet) here that I don't have that I still want that is offered at a deeply discounted price.

    is it jst me or is counterstirke source showing up at $4.99 usd not aud? wats the aud price? ive tried using the cc=au extension but still says usd

    also paypal method doesnt accept echeque wtf

      The Australian Steam store always showed prices in USD. Just convert it to AUD yourself in google.
      Yeah, they used to accept e-cheque but a few months(?) back they changed it to immediate payment.
      Just add a credit card or get someone to gift it to you and pay them back.

        i didnt ahve a problem with aud/usd, i just heard so many tales of us site being cheaper, and seeing only us prices i thought i was stuck on the US page, and cudnt see the aus price to compare

        and i didnt wanna use my usd funds, rather use my aud funds then convert to usd, cheaper that way. cause by the time i need to add my funds to paypal accnt, aud wudve dropped

    Oh well, I can't get Fallout New Vegas to purchase with the british version (cheapest) so that's that I suppose… tried the wallet and everything - it won't accept USD from the wallet for pounds sale :(

    No matter - I don't lose any money on a game I didn't really need. Pity though…

    Steam has been a bit fickle with the MAC but it seems to be fixed now and I got some nice simple MAC games to play with on my new Air on the train now. Awesome =)

    Hey is anyone having problems buying from STEAM lately.
    No matter what I do it says my CC is declined…..ALL of them - and theres $$$ there ready on them.
    SO then I try Paypal…it says its declined also.

    I opened a support call…but over christmas? - I wont get a reply till next year.

    Just checking if anyone else having probs.

      I only had issues when trying to purchase items using the US store. If for some reason you're currently on the US store, you can get back to the AU store by visiting http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=au, remove the items from your cart and add them as per normal, then re-attempt to check out. If it doesn't work, you can try logging out before visiting the AU store page.

    is anyone able to gift me a copy of Bad Company 2 from the US Steam site? its on special for $6.80 but not available on the Aus site and im having problems getting the Proxy thing to work. If anyone could help me out would be greatly appreciated, would pay by Paypal and the extra couple of $ for fees etc

      Or try to find someone willing to gift you a copy. Not sure which is more difficult, especially given after finding a UK IP the transaction may still fail depending on the credit card (PayPal will almost instantly fail if it's an Australian account).
