Used to own this machine. Fine for a "once a week" cappuccino/latte drinker. I just drink short blacks and the sunbeam (admittedly, a $500 machine) at work blew it out of the park with the same beans, same grinder etc… Moral of my story - if you're a casual drinking hot coffee milkshakes, you've found the machine for you.

I have this machine and use it a few times at day and love it. Makes a fantastic cup of coffee. Only ever have Long blacks so can’t comment on the milk frothing side of things.

Had this machine for about 18 months - we make an average of 2-3 coffees per day, predominantly with milk.
The milk frother, although is far from cafe quality, is extremely easy and does a good enough job for the price you pay.
In my opinion, for the advertised price, this machine is probably well worth buying if you already have a coffee grinder or buy ground coffee and don't mind all the fuss of making your coffee then cleaning etc.

Yep, agree as my mum has one ( older almost identical EC 680 M ) and used a lot with decent results.

If you don't like cleaning, you can purchase pods ( in paper bags ) for these too if you don't like cleaning.

I have this machine since 2014 and use it 2 times daily.
I only grind beans for 1 day and keep all coffee in airtight glass containers (which were originally used for coffee anyway).
Cleaning it is not a problem at all, the spent coffee is pulled out with a teaspoon and is used in the garden.
When you use the milk frother, make sure that you clean it out afterwards by pressing one of the other buttons and then open the frother up and let the hot water clean it into a small mug, swirling the hot water around to clean the outside as well.
I do not have had any problem with it and the coffee it makes is very good (for me anyways).
Also it is quite small which was important for me.

    Thanks Askhole!

Bought this and the matching grinder, I spend too much on coffee, so hopefully this will pay for itself.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend any decent cheap beans to go with my purchase?

  •

Bought with the Amazon10 code for $125.96!

    Thanks OP.
