So ubiquitous, disk enclosure is now found in “HOME > Home Decor > Decorative Crafts” section.

Intended use must be for all that porn, even the sale category is hidden in a secret folder.

The impracticality of that cord length is making we want to pass on this. Wouldn't be able to stick it in a port at the back, or even the front, of my desktop and remain flat on the desk! Seems really designed for laptops in mind.

  • good price

  • This is just a SATA enclosure:

Support 2.5 inch 9.5mm thickness and below HDD and SSD

Put your old disk in it, connect to your PS/XB/TV/modem/router and leave it there, so no worries about the cable position or durability. Am I right?

    • +1

      You are right.

I put an old SanDisk 120gb SSD in one of these as an external drive and it works like a treat. Transfer rates jump between 175mb/s and 200mb/s and it's easy to power.

  • Thanks OP, bought.

    Thanks!
This will go well with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/366810

  • Thanks OP! Bought also.

  • Thanks. Can never have too many of these.

  • any 3.5 inch ones?

    • +1

They're generally more expensive because they need external power. I wish someone would come up with a deal where you provide your own 12V power supply; a lot of people have several from all the external disks they buy. The cost would be lower and the shipping cheaper.

  • How do you use RG points in your account to discount your purchase?

  • Cheers, just got 2 from Dresslily for US$2.81 each, separate transactions. Always useful when fixing people's broken laptops to get a backup.

  • According to the pics it's got the JMS567 chipset.

Have to say this is pretty impressive performance for a usb/sata chipset when paired with the right SSD.
