        Yes any artificial sweetener deteriorates, and also the gas leaks slowly, faster if there are imperfections in the can.

      I drink pepsi max because it's cheap. It's too sweet though. But it seems consistent, whereas I've had some terrible coke zero's - or maybe it's the "no sugar" and I don't like it??

        Zero tasted like Coke for me. No sugar tastes different. Hence the change back to Max.
