    only once.

No chance to buy Sydney property.

    • Separate account for your partner and children; if you're transferring to Velocity, then family pooling gets all the points back in the same account anyway :)

      • +1

And regardless, you can just open up as many flybuys accounts as you like to get these points against anyway, can't you? Just redeem for a discount immediately and throw away the number.

  • It would have been great if giftcard purchases work with Spend $$$, Get XXXX flybuys points

  • +1

It would have ben great if Coles allow at least 10 per Flybuys!

  • +5

Would ave been great if there was no fee

  • There is a flybuys to velocity conversion offer kicking off tomorrow if your a velocity member.

    • +2

      You're*

    • Are you able to state your source? From what I understand it's only card and hotel partners. O

    • Why would you convert your flybuys to velocity? Sorry if it’s a dulb question, kinda new to the conversion thing

      • It's better value to use reward points on flights.

Flybuys will get you household items and what not but in most cases, as tempting as it looks, the return isn't as good as using your points on flights. Anyway, most people prefer travelling the world on a cheaper airfare then buying a new vacuum cleaner.

  • What is an activation/purchase fee?

    • +2

Just an extra cost associated with the purchase.

You pay $105 for the $100 Coles Mastercard and receive $10 back in flybuys points, so you’ve effectively made $5 profit.

      • What's the point of it though?

Even without the promotion, why does it exist?

        • Such cards are usually given as gifts, people will pay more for the convenience of being able to give a gift card that’s not store specific.

        • @headphonejack: cash has no fees and doesn’t expire.

For use at porn sites, gentlemen's establishments etc. Without raising the suspicions of the wife.

        • Signing up to dodgy porn sites online without it going on your transaction statement. Also limits what the dodgy sites can steal from you later.

I also used them to consolidate a few hundred dollars worth of $5 Coles vouchers from the android pay promo last year. This requires smooth talking the teenagers at self serve.

Yea I was about to say.. considering splitting payment at Coles is pretty difficult lol.

I’ll use the Coles MasterCard to buy a Woolworths WISH Card. That’s a total of $10 saved.

  • +2

Use the card to use with your online transactions… safer.

  • Can Uber $50 be used for Uber eats?

  • 5$ saving for Coles Gift Mastercard

  • Can I pay with cash at the self serve checkout?

    • +2

      No you do a runner.

      • Yes,but it triggers "please wait, assistance requested" which calls the attendant over to approve it.

        • Isn't that only when you try to split payment between notes and coins?

  • Anyone know if you can pay credit card statement with these?

    • Go to a place that sells collectible notes. Buy them with the card and use the cash to pay your bill. You might be a bit short as you'll have to pay over face value for the notes.

  • Can I combine this with thhe virgin bonus rewards?

  • So has anyone tried split payments with multiple Coles gift cards to buy and was successful?

    • -1

      does not work

      • +3

You should probably be a bit more specific..

It's not that it "does not work". It's that by doing this via self checkout, this is a surefire way of triggering the staff to come over so you're raising suspicion. To begin with, you're not supposed to pay for GCs with GCs (as many of us here are surely aware).

Paying with one full GC triggers staff to only come over once to "verify" the purchase. Attempting to pay with multiple GCs triggers staff to have to come at least twice. And don't even bother going to a manned counter - first thing they'll say is you can't pay for GCs with GCs!

    • I did attendant is ok with it

  • +1

I bought a $100 Coles MasterCard with split Eftpos cards at a manned checkout today.

    • $100 coles MC with $100 egifcard plus $5 eftpos card at self check out.

  • For those whl who successfully purchased is the points instant on receipt?

    • nope, wait 24-48hrs

  • +1

I see there are also $25 Uber Gift Cards at Coles. The catalogue makes no mention of the gift card amount other than the $100 Mastercard so presumably it is also included in this offer. A pretty good return on $25 spend if you use Uber.

    • Have you tried it? Not sure why you got negged.

    • +1

You're right, the catalogue makes no mention, however I received this in a flybuys email.

Collect 2,000 bonus points when you spend $50 or more on Uber…

Points would probably not be automatically awarded on purchases of the $25 card. You could hold them to it, but it might be more hassle than it's worth :)

      • +1

I think that clarifies it then. Sloppy work in creating the terms for the catalogue. I agree it wouldn't be worth the hassle of holding them to it.

I didn't actually try it as I already hit the 1 per household max on the $100 Mastercard.

        • +8

Can confirm that the $25 uber gift card does give the 2000 points. Bought one yesterday and the points arrived in my account this evening :)

        • @Cheeseisgood:

Did you buy both uber and the coles mastercard? Can we get points for both?

        • +1

Only bought the uber gift card. I'm pretty sure you can only get the points once per account.

        • @Cheeseisgood: also confirm here

  • do you have to activate the offer via email or log on or just scan your card to get the points?

    • Simply scan your card, there is no requirement to activate the offer.

  • I finally found a store that had them but they only had the $100 bright sky green/blue ones, so I bought,

I sincerely hope these count for the bonus 2000 pts,as a ibought a few with the few flybuys cards I had

    • As long as they are still classified as $100 Coles Mastercards you should be fine.

  • +2

Received an offer from Flybuys this arvo for 1000 points for $100 Coles mastercard.Requires activation & is valid to May 21st .

    • +3

Got the same. Should stack for those who waited until today to buy.
