      • Not a fan of AC hahah only played the first one

    • I can tell you right now that the price when the sale starts will be a far cry from the discount you're expecting lol

  • +15

    Hmmm eBay screwed up! Again!

I know it’s 4 days, 5 hours and 19 minutes until it goes live but the code isn’t working for me right now!? WTF!

Amazon Australia can’t come soon enough!

    • -1

      your point?

    • Ha

    • +2

I think some people haven't got your joke. Upvoted to cancel one of the downvotes. :)

  • +1

good thinking - don't buy any games for 5 days.

That's the sort of promotion needed. DONT BUY ANY GAMES FOR 5 DAYS.

Shame about the sick kids though..

    • +1

You can still buy games on feeBay in the next 5 days, just not from those sellers.
Also if any of them elected to have a special in store or on their Web sites which is > 20% discount, you can also buy.
feeBay isn't the only place to buy games. It's feeBay after all.

  • +1

20% is the norm these days. LOL

  • +4

    Anyone got a search link?

  • +3

Not really a sale is it.

I don't see the point in getting excited over this, we all know exactly what's going to happen.

In my opinion, much better off with Amazon, none of these stupid price jacking games and their $20 off for new users.

    • How many new users can you make though

      • how many email accounts do you have?

        • So they don't check if name/address matches?

  • +1

    Search Link

I hope it's correct because eBay made a small change I had to fix.

  • people in the ebay related thread always complain how ebay stores jack up the prices but yet they upvote the post as if its a really good deal, even if the discount is 5%, people just go crazy.

    • +5

That's because while a lot of items are price jacked, often there is a good deal to be found. It's a double edged sword and I have personally purchased lots of things in these sales, however I was just about to make a post about how thegamesmen have an item listed $12 above RRP

  • +1

Nice of eBay to give everyone plenty of notice to ensure all price hikes are completed before the deadline.

  • Got a $50 voucher to use so hoping to pick up God of War for a good price.

    • I have an EB voucher and looking for GoW as well but no luck! …

  • I'm assuming this is still on for tomorrow?
Can't wait, I'm expecting some excitement, and not dissapointment

  • Hope they don't have a cheaper gaming mouse G302 just bought yesterday.

  • +3

Seems like doesn't work on consoles but only games on EB. Lame man ..

    • Works on figurines

    • Yep, I'm getting "This code can't be applied to some of your items." Isn't a console "Toys & hobbies"?

    • +1

It's doesn't even work on GAMESMEN jacked up prices for $729 for XBOX ONE X ..

      • +3

Classic dodgy gamesmen and silent rep

    • Some just bought a Switch this morning at 10:02am wondering whether he got discount or not.

      https://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&_tr…

      • Maybe he just bought it, I just tried on that link and no discount.

        • Yeah I tried no discount may be at 10:02am?

        • He probably used the targeted DEALS4U 10% off code

  • +1

    Price jacking anyone?

    • generously its for everyone!

  • The Nintendo Switch Bundle with Mario Kart at The Gamesmen how much was it
    before the price hike?

  • Half an hour and still no official page or search… ugh

    • +1

      price adjustments haven't finished yet… :P

  • Certainly is a puzzle how they think these "20%" sales are good value.

  • So is there anything that's not more than RRP? lol, what a joke.

  • +1

Ok guys I think I found the page which includes search bar

    https://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/toy-sale

    • +1

Good find! Bit of a joke how they have a picture of a PS4 on it but it's not included :(

  • I added something from gamesmen that said free shipping and then it added $6.95 shipping in cart/checkout so be careful

  • should be sucker sucker sucker somewhere in title because of the waste of time…..

  • +1

Yep it doesn't look like the Switch is included at any of the stores :(

Wife has given the go ahead to buy a Switch for my birthday which is 2 weeks today.
Whats the chance of getting one at 20% off between now and then?

    • +4

Follow my strategy here, should net you a switch for around $300 :)

    • +1

Also where is the cheapest place to get games? Is it cheaper to buy the physical media or buy through the Nintendo Store online (i assume you can buy the games on the switch?)

      • +3

There is an Eshop on Switch. It's pretty pricy and doesn't have great sales.

I normally buy them from Ozgameshop or Base.com

        • Are the games not region locked?

        • @birdie: Nope.. Which is why you can create an account specifically for another region's eShop and buy games from there not available in yours. I have an account for the AU eShop and the JP eShop on my switch.

  • +1

I can't really see any particularly attractive deals :(

  • Is it worth grabbing some switch games? Some are down to about $65 each

  • I'm lucky, the Wii U microphones I'm after for the Switch was spared the price hike. The 20% made it so much cheaper.

  • Gamesmen price on injustice 2 legendary is $102, at least ebgames has it for $89.

  • In the search link on ebay page. I can see nintendo switch but code doesnt seem to works? Is it an exclusive item?

Edit: sorry’!! Just saw above comments. Strange problem there ebay!!

  • Chatted with eBay help. Confirmed that search box isn't specific to the sale. Weird.

    • I don't think they know how to make a search box that searches both certain sellers and certain categories.

  • I sent Toys'R'Us a message through ebay asking why the code wasn't working on a particular item that I was trying to buy from their store and they replied with one line saying "Please be advised the discount code used is not affiliated with Toysrus. Apologies for the inconvenienced caused."

I understand that ebay is running the discount and not Toys'R'Us but the item I'm trying to buy is from Toys'R'Us and they didn't attempt to offer any assistance with the issue I was having whatsoever.

    • +1

Try and ask ebay live chat instead, they should be able to give you a much better idea as to why.

      • +1

That’s what I did. They just referred me to the T&Cs which doesn’t include the console category of goods.

    Sick of price jacking.

Myer store: Fisher-Price On the Go Baby Dome $139.95 ($111.96 after 20% discount) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Fisher-Price-On-the-Go-Baby-…

Price before sale from $97.96 to $111.96.

    • +1

Price before sale from $97.96 to $111.96

A month before this sale started. Hardly a price jack for this deal.
