    Nice deal. Just forget the price of what Sony claims the controller is worth that's the RRP. That extra controller is worth $78 on its own according to what Target is charging for it.

    Edit: Well actually the wireless controller can be currently bought from Big W for $65 on sale.

    PS4 Pro is just too highly priced imo. PS4 only has 1-2 years max left in it's lifecycle. Should be a price drop coming soon.

      I agree that it's too highly priced, but I don't think there's another console coming in the next year. Generally with consoles, there's a good year of announcements and marketing before release. We've heard nothing (including rumors) of a PS5.

    For those considering buying it, it's an ok deal if you absolutely don't want to have to potentially wait another couple of months or more. JB have slowly been increasing the price of the standalone pro over the past couple of months for whatever reason (general consensus appears to be that there is a stock shortage at the moment), as the price has gone from $499 to $519 and now $539, making this currently the best price for a Pro, even without factoring in the bonus controller. However, even still, this is nowhere near as good as what was available near the end of last year or the 20% off EBGames sale last month or so.

    I missed the sales around boxing day and having given up waiting for a new deal, was about to go to JB and buy it for $499. I admit I got really lucky as just a couple days later I ended up getting a pro for $380 after buying the Far Cry 5 bundle from EB (during the 20% off sale) for $450 and selling the game brand new for $70 as it had only just been released.

    Also as I mentioned earlier, you can buy a controller from Kogan for $49 which is almost half the RRP which Sony is trying to value it on their site.

          Pricing doesn't work like that (often). They change prices as soon as the wholesale price increases. Plus any reason to increase prices as soon as possible means greater overall revenue.

    Friends, keep an eye on the firmware these come with. I doubt it will be the 4.73 revision and is more likely 5.50. Would like to know if anyone has info on this batch (not for myself but for those who care).

        Friend, its not 4.73 that's important but from my understanding the only ps4 models ship on 4.73 and 5.50. With a 4.73 model it can be updated to 5.01-5.05 which have a full stack exploit being released in the next few weeks. Im interested in it for the ftp capabilities as well as a possible mpv port. Of course theres other implications too…

          @pinkybrain: Friend, the one I purchased in January was. My understanding is the GOW bundle ships on 4.73 (game updates it to 5.05 for the base game and 5.50 for the day onr patch). Again these sony sold ones aren't confurmed higher firmware im saying there's a possibility so you may want to pay a little more for older stock

          Not hacked yet. 5.05 exploit isnt out yet but spectredev is releasing it soon and at least 4 groups have their oen exploit.

          Id say gow is a good bet from what ive read. Actually if you can get a grand turismo or cod ps4 slim they can be hacked immediately (but no new games).

          $499 is good but again why knoe the firmware. If its 5.50 then youre going to have to wait a long time.

          @pinkybrain: Friend, GOW didnt come until april, i got the stand alone unit when it was $559 at most places. 5.07 and 5.50 models have been seen in the wild so for a stand alone unit youll want to check the serial and see if you can find any info on it. Gow bundle is a little overpriced but at least you can update to 5.05 and enjoy the game.

    It's not sold out
    now its backorder but i cannot see option for bonus controller
    it says not to forget cashrewards

    Just went to my local JB for a price match. Wasnt after a additional controller just the pro console itself for 499 ( they currently had a white Ps4 pro with destiny 2 for 549. Dont think i was asking for much but the typical fat white boy loser who works at JB shut me down because the sony website had out of stock/ on backorder on the website. Honestly had such bad experiences at JB lately with the no lifers that work there. Just because your a 38 year old store clerk who works with people half your age doesnt mean you can treat everyone like crap. Ill hold on for a better deal…
