eVouchers may be redeemed for orders placed on woolworths.com.au from 10:00 AEST 22/05/2018 to 23:59 AEST 04/06/2018

will prefer longer expiry date, thanks anyway.

    • +9

If you want a longer expiry, in the morning just order a lot of an obscure alcohol for pick up later that day on Woolworths website which shows as out of stock on the bws website for the same store. You'll receive a refund in the form of a code with a 1 year expiry which will also now stack with other coupon codes

      • +7

Yes and in case your order gets fulfilled somehow, enjoy your alcohol.

        • :P i think if worst comes to worst you can still cancel the order but I made sure it was alcohol I'd enjoy just in case.

Another method I suspect will work is simply placing the order then just clicking the cancel button but haven't tried this. And if you're feeling ballsy, after getting the refunded code call them to have it converted into a egift card so you can use anytime in store but have not tried this either.

          Username checks out

      • +1

You, sir, are one of Gerry Harvey's "professionals"!

    • I agree, only 2 weeks to use them? No thanks.

    • +5

Just a heads up, on the Woolworths Terms Page it now says expiry as 04/06/2021, will have to confirm with them which one is true.

      • Would like to know this too! This makes a huge difference.

        • +4

I believe it is 2021 now! It's plastered all over the eBay page and their own terms :)

  • Is there a limit to how many cards are purchased?

    • Condition 6?

    • Did you read the description of the deal?

      • Ah, silly me. Excuse my ignorance, was looking for a numerical figure.
Is it 3 of each value, do you think? or 3 in total…

I'm thinking its a good time to use up the AMEX spend huge$$ for points offer. Mine was $1800 for 1500 pts.

        • 3 vouchers = 3 vouchers

Keep in mind you only have 2 weeks to spend them

        • @buckster:

          am I missing something

eVouchers must be redeemed by 4 June 2021??

Got nearly 3 years to use the voucher

        • @sydboy007: comment was 5 days ago pre-edit

  • +2

All used in 1 transaction? Hmm that's tough but nice deal OP

    • -1

You can game the rules ;)

Choose a product you want that isn’t very popular, for me it was half price bbq pork buns when half price. Buy the entire remaining voucher that you can’t spend on it. They will run out of stock for those niche items and issue you a credit refund for later use.

Effectively letting you break up the voucher. :)

      • +18

I mean this is great until they actually give you 86 half dozen packs of bbq pork buns.

        • +1

          can u imagine haha

        • i wish, I ordered two the other day and they were out of stock because my my siblings cleaned them out the day before. Found out when I whinge about it and they said they bought 8 and very last one from the freezer.

But hey, you are right there is the risk they fill the order. But I think with niche products they don’t stock too much.

        • @xEnt: I love bbq pork buns. I'd be disappointed if they only delivered 85

      • I legitimately do want to stock up on an item they only stock in small quantities (niche brand coffee beans). How is the credit refund issued?

As a new giftcard? A credit on your account?

        • +1

They send you a code that you need to use at checkout online (and you can only use 1 code at checkout so you can't combine with any other deal that uses a code).

        • +1

The refund is issued as a code you can only redeem online. You can however ask them to change it to an eGift card (you can then use it in-store also) if the refund is for $5 or more.

  • +14

So the $240 voucher is better value than the $350 voucher.

    • +5

      40/240 = 16.67% discount.
      50/350 = 14.29% discount.
Yes, the discount is better on the $240 card.

      • If you are getting goods delivered then effective discount is almost the same. $240 purchase incurs a $6 delivery fee whereas delivery is free for a $350 purchase. The delivery cost reduces the effective saving on using a $240 card to 14.17% (saving $40 on $246 purchase). Obviously you can still spend $300 and pay $60 cash to make up the difference but then still only saving $40 on a $300 purchase. You need to determine how much you want to purchase from Woolies and the fee for delivery (if any) before assessing which is the best voucher to purchase.

  • +4

Nice 12% 17% %14 discounts respectively but must be spent online only, in a single transaction and by 04 June kill the deal for me, even though I have eBay vouchers I'd like to use/convert.

    • -4

      13.3, 20, and 16.7

1 - (big number divided by small number)

      • 240 - 40 is a 16.7% reduction

      • Samlor is correct…
        Savings amt/orig price

      • +1

        MathNerd is disappointed in you

      • +1

That could be considered the “bonus value %” rather than “discount %”

      • -1

Vouchers are add-to. So they are never discounted-from when purchased from an original issue. The amount you don't pay for is a bonus. It is added as usable value to your purchase.

This is not the case for goods such as broccoli being on sale. There you are given a discount from full price. You don't gain the discount back as a bonus that has value, you just don't pay for it.

So the question is incorrectly specified and the math gods are not disappointed

        • The Maths gods aren't overjoyed though.

  • evoucher can be used to buy gift card?

    • +3

8.The value of the eVoucher cannot be used on Woolworths Flowers, delivery charges and Delivery Saver items, tobacco/smoking products, gift cards, egift cards, mobile recharge products, mobile phones and products, Woolworths Mobile products, travel cards and tickets.

      • Curious. If your cart had half groceries half gift card.
Would the voucher not work? Or would it distinguish

      • +1

Just so everyone's aware, these vouchers worked on mobile phones last time despite the fact they were listed as excluded products.

  • +1

First condition ruins the deal. How am I supposed to know what amount to purchase and what to spend this on without knowing exactly how much I'm going to spend in advance? How's that going to work for a load of shopping or filling up the petrol?

Seems anti-consumer and I thought these sort of conditions were to be banned, like the expiry on gift cards

    1. The value of the eVoucher is single-use only and must be redeemed on woolworths.com.au in one transaction. Any balance of the eVoucher not used in the transaction will be forfeited and will not be able to be used for a further transaction.

    • +1

well it's probably for people who spend the same amount each week?

    • Do what we do? We know we always spend, say, $300 on groceries. So we buy a $240 voucher, and pay the balance of the shop as normal ($60).

Our $300 shop "costs" us $200+$60.

Or, just don't use them on a shop below their value. They last til 2021!

      • I know we spend about 30 to 40 most times (live above a supermarket), so that doesn't work so well for me. Doing a Coles $50/week for four weeks is always a struggle. We spend far more at woolies, just distributed over many shops.

  • Are there any vouchers like this for Coles?
I keep seeing 5% off Woolworths through cash rewards, student rewards - but never seen any for Coles.

    • +3

      Coles is down down hill

    • +1

you do if you are AGL customer.

they offer 5% on Coles Gift card.

      • +1

AGL generally has more experience rates.

    • RACQ members get 5% off Coles egift cards

  • In Woolies can we place orders up to2 months ahead? So we can use the vouchers for future purchases…

    • You can usually place an order up to a week in advance.

      • Do u have a link to this? I can’t find this info anywhere on the Woolworths site

  • . eVouchers cannot be used in-store at Woolworths.

So no good to top up opal cards?

    • +2

I just shop in-store and don’t use Woolworths Online so these vouchers are no good for me.

UPDATE: I found I can buy groceries online and pickup in store for free. This is a good deal.

  • Can I use in BWS website in NSW?

  • Is this a form of creative accounting?

    • That is why giftcards were invented.

  • +1

Could you not just click and collect, include non perishable items such as storage containers and then return them at the time you collect the order for a store credit?

    • -2

Online order cant return in store, they use different system

      • It’s just that I’ve done it before? I

    • Pretty dirty/low though, but if you are that desperate all the power to you.

  • Shame you can't buy from Dan Murphy's

  • If I use this to buy eBay gift cards when they are on sale, and then use that to buy the next Woolworths eVouchers sale, how much saving would I make?

    • Can you buy giftcard at Woolworths online?

      • No you cant. Not that Im aware of any way …

  • Love these deals always buy 2 of the $200 vouchers and save myself $80 on a months groceries. Last time I even got another %10 discount on E Bay.

    • i do too, but the short expiry date (04/06) kind of prohibits that. unless of course you are a big grocery spender

  • +3

Dont forget to get another 5% off by using eBay gc. Go to cashreward buy Woolly gc, use that to buy eBay gc in store.

Yes, eBay gift cards can be used to purchase the vouchers.

    • +1

Unfortunately I was incorrect, it seems like they fixed the buying gift cards with gift cards now..

  • +1

eVouchers must be redeemed by 4 June 2021 at Woolworths Online.

    • Thanks for the update! Either eBay has stuffed up or Woolworths has, wonder how we get confirmation?

      • NP. 4th June is a very short amount of time, much shorter than previously on these codes, so not really sure what to think…

The 4 June 2021 date is posted very prominently all over the item page…

        • Yeah you're correct, I think 4/6/18 would be a very short expiry, it also says on the page:

eVouchers purchased on eBay during 22 May 2018 - 4 June 2018 must be redeemed by 11.59pm AEST 4 June 2021. Any remaining funds will be forfeited after this date. Please see terms and conditions for this promotion below.

          So I think it's actually 4/6/21.

        • +1

@doweyy: I think regardless of what is says on the promotional page. The T&Cs stated on the item page for what you're actually purchasing state very clearly in multiple locations that it is redeemable until 4 June 2021 :)

It's good enough for me, love these deals…

        • @holeski:

Yep I think you've nailed it on the head, great find thank you :) Makes this a much more attractive deal.

  • Active now. :)

  • +1

These can't be purchased with eBay gift cards :( They must've closed the loophole because I bought a gc with a gc just the other week.

I was targeted with MAGIC10 which doesn't work either :(

    • :(

I thought it was going to work perfectly, after that Paypal digital gifts deal they must have fixed it..

    • Do you know how to check the expire date on eBay gift cards please?

      • eBay gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

You can check the balance here, but unfortunately expiry dates are not specified.

  • What if I buy the $170 option and I use more? Just top up the remaining via card?

Or must I order exactly $170?

    • +1

I believe it comes off your total and you pay the rest in another payment method if your order is greater than the amount of the voucher.

  • Just purchased the $240/$200 voucher, thanks OP. How long before I will receive the ecode by email do you reckon? Hopefully before tomorrow 11:59pm AEST 23 May 2018 so that I can stack it with the $20 Woolworths SHOPBACK deal.

    • +1

The vouchers took a few days to arrive last time.

You can’t stack it anyway, payment with a voucher will void eligibility for cashback.

      • noted, thanks.
I guess the statements being made by SHOPBACK are incorrect then?
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/379585
"Confirming the recent Woolies Online eVouchers deal can also be used in conjunction with our Cashback promo :)"

        • From the T&Cs:

Cashback not payable when used in conjunction with payment by Groupon Woolworths vouchers or other third party promotional vouchers

But if they say it will work, I guess you can hold them to it!

    • You can't use the code with any other code at the same time.

      • noted, thanks.

Thanks OP, got 3x $240 vouchers!

    • wow, you must go through a lot of food in less than 2 weeks before the expiry on 4th June.
