3390

When I logon to my account to check balance, I realised I got 7gb instead of 6gb from previous BOGOF deal, then I checked Kogan website and noticed that both the 2gb and 6gb have been given another 1gb extra data, and you still get a discount on this 365 days plan purchase till 30th June, so sweet!

2GB is now 3GB
6GB is now 7GB
Unchanged for 16GB and 23GB

Note: Thanks for Mods who helped to update my title to include data details and prices, this is my 2nd deal post ever since 2009 (Thx Mossy for pointing this out) and I am touched with such a flooded responses, thanks all!

No it was applied to existing customers too.

    • Existing included me

  • an existing customer on 6gbs of data, just checked and now 7gb, thanks Kogan!

  • Dammit, was gonna post. Mine changed yesterday night!

Put my girlfriend on Kogan mobile.
Saving her probably $100 a month, easily.

    • +1

You're a keeper; in the nice expression of the word. 👍

  • Looks like the price has gone down as well $143.60 11.80 a month it was 150ish 12.50 a month before

  • my plan end in August, what the activate expire time?

  • +5

With the 20%-40% discount off thier annual renewal plans and now an additional 1GB with 2GB (now 3GB) and 6GB (now 7GB) plans Kogan is NOW by far the best mobile phone deal.
Beats all other posted mobile deals hands down every time!
    And coverage is EXCELLENT!

  • Nice deal

  • When will they give a bit of a data boost to the unloved Home 30gb 365? It's stayed the same forever while all of the mobile plans have crept up.

Not that I'm complaining. I originally purchased our mobile L plans at (I think) 6Gb, which has crept up several times- I had 19.5Gb reported in the app before I renewed for our second year (BOGOF) and it bumped us back down to 16Gb.

    Kogan have been great.

    Put price in OP please

  • +1

So if you have purchased the old 2 for 1 deal, does the extra data apply? I bought the 6gb plan, activating both sims today.

    • +1

      Yes it's across the board.

  • Yes I received an email from Kogan Mobile for a SMALL 365 day plan we have. Not received an email for the LARGE 365 day plan yet, or for my "2 for 1" MEDIUM 365 day plan, that I only activated a week ago. I will have to sign in and check these out online to see what is happening I guess.

I only noticed this when I received an SMS saying I m over 50% data usage which is very strange, which I already received a 85% data usage warning SMS just 1 day ago, hence logon to my account and BAM! extra 1gb for not even need to ask Kogan and upgraded automatically, this is what we called a good service provider!

  • Very sweet, just when I needed more data. Thanks again Kogan!

  • Sweeeeeeet! Thanks OP!

  • +3

Its Kogan but damn they've been good.

Free midcontract upgrades without having to lift a finger.

    • Kogan Mobile is prepaid so there is no contract. You're not under any mobile phone contract. Those contract plans are postpaid but generally for 24 months but billed month by month. Those ones you get sent out a bill to pay the invoice.

      • +3

A 12 month prepaid plan is effectively a 12 month contract though.

It's not in name, but you're "locking" yourself to a 12 month commitment and the "penalty" for exiting early is technically $0, but it would be in the remaining months of service that you've already paid up front.

Even harder to beat, bloody amazing plans. My two kids just got upgraded to 3 and 7. They are happy.

    • +1

Bet lots of parents are buying these 365 days plans for their children, so their kids are all under "control" for their data usage, happy moms and dads!

      • +1

I was only thinking just the other day that a few parents would be using the "Find My Mobile" type apps to track their children … and their kids have absolutely no idea. That's kind of "control" freaky to me.

      • Yes that what I like. My 11 yo burnt 2gb in a week (now it should take 10 days lol). Whilst the 15 usually is ok with 6gb, but she’ll be happy with an extra free gb.

        • Apparently channel 7 @ 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) will discuss the incidence of parents tracking their children.

    stacked a $10 referral credit with a $30 coupon to get the 16GB plan for $214.30 / $17.83 a month - that is a legit bargain!

    • Where do you get the $30 coupons from? Let me know as am trying to save $$ ATM

      • search kogan voucher on ebay that's where I got mine!

  • Tip for those porting from Optus -

I had to ring them to find out my dads account number - they use a separate internal account number that's not visible on the account management page. I was trying to port my dad and it failed. Rang Kogan and they told me Optus account numbers usually start with an 8. It may be printed on bills, not sure.

  • What's the use by date on these vouchers ? My yearly plan expires middle of August. Do they allow 60 days or 90 ?

  • Once you have used up the monthly data allowance, do you need to buy a add on data pack to continue with data use, or does it just restrict the internet speed?

  • Nice deal

  • Should I do catch connect before this…?

  • +1

I've had Kogan for close to 12 months and no major issues but still some blackspots on Voda network but better than I expected. What does everyone else think, better or worse network in last few months?

    • I have never had any problems or issues with Vodafone. Know of one local blackspot. Was told northern outer suburbs of Sydney had issues some years back. Only dropped Vodafone broadband wifi when NBN came along. We switched our mobiles to Kogan Mobile prepaid 365 day plans because of the great deals. Still use our old Vodafone wifi modem and prepaid sims when on holidays etc. I have been happy with service in the past; depending on what happens may return our mobiles or NBN to them one day.

  • NVM, found the answer

  • Please is there a way to get a free sim?
    I need 3
    Cheers
    :-)

They come with vouchers I think

    • They are usually only $2 if you don't have any spares. I have one spare but $1 to post so not worthwhile. If you sign a 365 day deal they usually post you two.

  • I already have a kogan plan but it is running out in a week. Can i buy this and still keep my old number?

    • Think so. This is just a recharge isn't it?
