There was about 8 months ago! I got Melbourne to Sydney for $30 for the Monday afternoon!

      • +1

I remember the $10 seats lol

Thanks, do you know any bargains for time machines so I can travel back in time and book it??

        Thanks.

Wondering if on flight been canceled, will have refund for $1 or half.

I’ve been screwed by this exact deal probably about few years back. Only difference it was *return for free sale. They cancelled the return flight Gold Coast-Melbourne on a Sunday night on boarding as a crew member fell sick. Offered a refund or next flight in 3 days. Asked for my $0 refund and bought a business class airfare $700 on Virgin to get home same night as it was a long weekend all carriers were full for the next few days!

      It is what it is!

    Can't find the deal

What wrong with calling it "$1 Return Fare"? "Pay to Go, Come Back for $1" is so cumbersome.

  • +1

Wish they went from Perth to Adelaide..

  • +2

The problem is the available $1 return fares I looked are limited to very few fares and mostly not at convenient times.

I'd rather wait till they have a more comprehensive sale with more choice of fares.

  • Does Jetstar price match these deals or do they exclude the $1 return ticket under their T&C's?

    • +4

What did Jetstar say when you spoke to them?

      • +1

        Always ask OzBargain first :)

      • The only way to do a price match is via the web form

They came back within an hour saying they had beaten my fare from Mel to Hobart return

They came back with $292.24 vs vs $139.90 for Tiger

        • Did the Tigerair fare change in the time it took them to do the price match?

You can always submit it again and see what they come back with in case it was a mistake the first time around.

    • +1

      They do pricematch.

  • Tiger, never again…

    • I heard tiger now been taken over by Virgin Australia and their service has been improved since.

      • Virgin Australia always owned Tiger?

        • +2

Thought Singapore airlines owned part of it?

        • @Martijn:

          Not any more.

I think Singapore Airlines had a share of Tigerair in Asia (different company) which has now merged with Scoot.

        • Singapore owned it in full but offloaded it to Virgin as SIA could never find the right people to run the outfit without going into damage control.

the posts like this one should not be allowed here. There is nothing specific and when we go fishing for the deals more often then not the opportunities are very limited and/or at inappropriate times. wasting our time.

    • +3

Tell me where you want to go and I will find it for you…

  • +3

Airfares come with complimentary flight delay and cancellation?

    • Only flown tiger one time on the return trip we got in 20 minutes early…. but then had to wait for the gate to be available…

      • Same here. We got in so early that no ground staff were ready for the plane at the gate.

    • No that's EXTRA.

  • +3

No matter what I do for Sydney to GC I can't find the $1 return seats…God the way Tiger sets these deals up sucks.

    • +1

Maybe the point is just to get you even looking at their website, and not necessarily buying a ticket….

  • Reckon any cheap flights to come in August for Melb to Bris? It's currently sitting at the $220 mark which is hella expensive :\

    • return? that's what it always is. one way? farrrk

  • Brisbane to Sydney is even cheaper than quoted. Just got a return flight for $71.57 in November, all fees included!

  • If I was trying to get to japan I would see if I could book this to fit in with a GC to Tokyo ret flight.
