I googled the brand and looks like it mostly selling on Chinese websites

  • Love to see a review of such a cheap product.

If these are DRAM-less, I'd suggest watching this video before you buy, to explain what this actually means: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybIXsrLCgdM

To save you 5min of your time, DRAM-less SSD is not a good thing compared to SSD with DRAM.

    • +1

I think they are DRAMless. Having said that most of the other OzBargain SSD favorites are also DRAMless as well (e.g. Kingston A400, SanDisk SSD Plus, WD Green, etc). These are really mechanical harddisk replacements.

  • Ultimate question:
can we crack open it? And put in the system?

    • +2

I don't believe this is in an enclosure.

So I guess the real question is it 3D Nand? If it is then lack of DRAM is much less of an issue.

  • Netac has been around for ages. I still a USB stick from the 90s and it still works! So if that's something to go by it's a good brand.

  • Bought one, giving it a go. I also have an old Netac thumb drive (1GB I think) and still operational.

    • Received mine today!

      • Shipping is fast.
