  • Not sure what the quality is like these days but my 20 year old 1200w Sharp still looks and works like new.

    Simply the best from Sharp.

    • I don't think they make microwaves like they used to. Especially cheap ones like this. But in the first place you can't expect much in a microwave for $68.

      • They made a hell of a good phone with the Sharp Aquos S2 which is currently selling for $195

    • not sure why you got negged ….this deal is only 750w ….even my crap microwave is 1100w …..
only, thing to fail seems to be displays and bugs get behind displays …..else they just seem to keep working …. differences seem to be some are inverter most aren’t.

  • Is there any energy trading for a microwave? Mine while is still working needs more time to heat up. Wondering is it's time to replace it

    • Get a higher power unit than this deal.

    • they don’t heat evenly throughout ….so find where hot and cold spots are.

if buying new as you want more heat, get more wattage ….750w isn’t much, cant even dry undies with 750w, many are 1100w and 1200w ….

        I'll add an opposing view.

I don't mind lower wattage microwaves (or inverter microwaves at a reduced output power) because they take longer to heat the food. The benefit is it reduces localized overheating on the outside as common in higher powered microwaves when reheating small or single serving amounts of food, thus allowing more time for thermal conduction to heat the inside of the food.

        • An intelligent observation. I was starting to think it was just me who realised this benefit.

  • Thanks for this, just what I've been looking for and fits the small space we have available perfectly.

    • This guy pulls.

  • I have this type of microwave and the 5 beeping sound it makes every time it finishes microwaving is annoying. I can't find anyway to mute or lessen the beeping.

Get a wife and all other noises will sound muted.

That comes with a whole set of other problems… and harder to return…

Not to mention if you were trying to trade in for a newer model.
