I would imagine that there will be no price jacking as the discount isn't available to all… Giving a true 11% discount on things available with this code

    • +1

Woohoo gonna save 130 on lego 75192 millennium falcon

  • -3

    Uh just to clarify,

and all items sold by the following sellers:

    Officeworks
    Fantastic Furniture

Does that mean 11% off only from these 2 sellers?

    • +1

      excluding all items sold

    • excluding

    • Yeah, just the two sellers, happy shopping…
      /s

  • I'm curious as to why would Officeworks chose to abstain from this promotion?

    • +6

Not just this promo, but most sitewides.

      • +1

        Any idea why?
Whenever I sell on ebay, I always remind the buyer to use whatever site-wide code is active at the time, never cost me a cent.
Perhaps they don't want people choosing the Ebay store over their own site?

        • You'll probably find it's the combination of overhead costs and (from what I've heard on here) that those stores contribute to the % off (ie the stores wear part of the cost)

        • +1

Their official line is they want the same low prices available on all platforms.

They want their customers to get the same pricing whether the use the phone, they use their website, mobile, mobile apps, ebay store, amazon store etc. They pull their site down during the sitewide sales.

They wouldn't lose out; a site-wide 10% off is covered by eBay. They make/lose no more per product sold with site-wides; their sales would go up. It does generate complaints for them.

          Silly? Yes.

      • Get us a 20% ebay discount like the USA store and sitewide..

now that would be a good deal.

    • Their philosophy, for better or worse, is to offer the same price instore and online.

  • Legend!

  • Thanks TA.

  • f. you Officeworks

    • -1

      You can use others

      • +10

        Othersworks?

        • You donโ€™t have to work in an office. Ask your local Centrelink for other works ;)

        • more like doesntwork.

  • +11

    brand new, fixed price items

This excluded most of the site :/ NOT really sitewide
Please edit title. I almost starting bidding for auctions ending today on used items, intending to pay tomorrow during promo period with coupon. Glad I clicked on the deal, and did not just go by the title.

    • +2

      Done.

      • TA, is it one transaction per person, or three as usual? TIA

        • +2

The offer entitles you to 11% off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $100 or more on Eligible Products in one transaction during the Offer Period, for up to 3 transactions and up to a maximum discount of $500 per transaction.

        • @tightarse: Cheers. Haven't clicked on the banner initially.

      • +1

Could you please clarify if it works with accepted Offers?

        • +1

Yeah i wondering if you make an offer today and gets accepted today and then check out in the offer period tomorrow?

    • +3

Nah 90% of items on ebay now are buyitnow items. Not the cool auction website it used to be :(

  • Thanks TA, youโ€™re a champ!

  • Impressive.

  • Great! What are gift cards 172009 & 184609?

  • Yas!

  • Well done TA!

  • -4

Thanks TA! Does anyone know of any good deals on GoPro Hero 5 V2 on eBay??

    • +1

Type GoPro Hero 5 V2 into the search bar then set it to lowest price.

      • Thanks WatchNerd. Just did a quick search, the cheapest is $343.2 at the moment. :) Don't know whether if I should wait for a bit longer!

  • somebody gives this man a cookie please!! Cheers TA :D

    • And a glass of milk too, since Christmas comes early in June.

  • Looking for new MacBook, but canโ€™t find an Aussie seller listing it. Anyone help?

  • +2

Will cashrewards still offer 1% on top?

    • +4

      Yup :)

    • +2

      2% from shopback.

      • Coupon not listed on their site so probably won't be commissionable.

        • Probably, any excuse to decline.

      • +1

I spent 4 weeks and 30 emails trying to get Shopback to payout, Ill stick with cashrewards for now
I got the refund but not because it was valided probably got sick of my emails proving them wrong

  • These sales would of been so much more worth it if they didn't exclude coins.

    • Bitcoins?

      • +1

silver/gold coins. On previous sales you could get them below spot price then resell with free listings.

  • Thanks TA. Holding on to my seat for good TV deals now.

  • Thanks TA!

  • I bet they're doing this to appease us after we exploited their overseas coupon discount.

  • +1

I just logged in to vote positive

  • Something something Amazon something sometime

    • Hahahaha

  • +2

I've already made my big buy for the EOFY stuff but I do wonder if something better was still pending closer to June 30.

  • FFFFUUUUUUUUU!!! I thought I was speshal cashing in my targeted MAJESTIC code last night. Now iโ€™m just triggered instead of targeted. PS: well done TA ๐ŸŽ‰

  • +1

Will shop back pay cash back on this code?

  • When was the last time there was a 15% or 20% discount?

    • +6

They probably figured out they can't compete with Amazon… They tried and failed. Where you going to get a sub $200 brand new Xbox one s 1tb (previously $220) if you don't have a huge buying power.

EBay are now using ozb to pump up their sales before the end of the financial year. It's basic marketing

      • +1

Glad to see your opinion on Amazon being a failure has changed.

  • +3

Wow, thanks TA. This is insane.
A >10% non-targeted coupon sitewide is an impressive achievement.
I can't even get my corner store to give me a 5c discount on a paddle pop, and you've convinced eBay to give an 11% sitewide deal. That's truly next level.

    • i read it as ebay offering?

  • If I buy an item today but pay for it tomorrow, will the 11% code apply?

    • +2

Yes as long as the seller doesn't require instant payment.

      • Cool! Thanks.

  • +7

That sucks, I wanted to buy a house.

    • Hahaha, I know right!

    • And yet ironically like graphics and other price jacked items you're still worse off than what they're worth :P

  • +1

    Thank you, sir Tight. :)

  • +3

EBay understands the importance of ozbargain, but it needs to ensure the price jacking doesn't happen across the participating sellers during these promos, otherwise there won't be much love from this community.

    • +1

Am I reading your name backwards or forwards?

      • +3

        Upside down: uepeu

  • Good stuff, brand new and fixed priced only is a new twist!

  • Thanks for the heads up TA

  • -5

If you need someone to explain to you the T&C or English. Then go back to school!๐Ÿ™„

If maths isnโ€™t your thing either, the maximum discount you can get is $13,636.36 over the 3 transactions!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ

  • Well done, mate

  • Cheers TA, you've really outdone even yourself this time! I'm not sure how you do it but keep going :)

    • +1

The CCO of Cashrewards comes with its privillages ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • +8
    1. A minimum spend of $100 per transaction applies.
    2. The 11% discount is on item cost only and does not apply to postage costs.
    3. The total discount is capped at $500 per transaction.

Scaling that up means this suits spends from $100 to $4545.45 (maximum discount)

    1. Limit 3 transactions per person during the Offer Period.

    4545.45 x 3 = 13636.35.
    Quick mafs

    Time to spend $13636.35

Guys, you can buy ebay gift cards from selected woolies using discounted woolworths egift for extra savings (5% via cashrewards or 6.5% to 7% via a private seller), and then remember to CashRewards for that 1% extra cashback!

    • +1

Thanks for the fantastic tip mate, truly appreciate the effort and advice.

    • Any 'activation' time on the woolies ebay GCs?

      • +1

Nope, I've found, in my experience, that they activate immediately.
However, this means that multiple eBay GCs being activated at the checkout causes lots of awkward time, I've had up to 2 minutes just looking at the screen while the attendant does the same, waiting for each GC to activate. Once you walk out of the store though, they're ready to go.

        • Event cinemas defs have a 24 hour activation period :|
eBay looks to be instant though. (which is what we need for his deal)

I've had up to 2 minutes just looking at the screen while the attendant does the same, waiting for each GC to activate.

Not sure what changed.. used to be a LOT faster..

    • Guys, you can buy ebay gift cards from selected woolies using discounted woolworths egift for extra savings (5% via cashrewards or 6.5% to 7% via a private seller), and then remember to CashRewards for that 1% extra cashback!

      Or even 7.5% ;)

      • Where do you get 7.5% off woolies GCs?

        • Buying from MathNerd

        • @knobbs: Sorry, I don't sell Woolies eGCs. Other GCs, that's a different story ;)

      • do you have readily available gc's?

      • Who still sells for 7.5?

      • With illumination heading off to Singapore it looks like I need a new supplier of Woolworths eGift Cards. I'd prefer one with high repuation on OzBargain (lots of deals and comments, few years old) which is why i chose him instead of POTM in the first place. Who supplies with 7.5% and do they have good reputation?

        • potm is great, so is 9race.
They're the only ones I know of apart from illumination.

        • @MathNerd:

          9race:
          * >5 years old account
          * >100 comments
          * 28 deals

          potm:
          * >5 years old account
          * >100 comments
          * 14 deals

I'd probably choose 9race then as he's contributed more to the community apparently even though he's in WA. Unless potm has more quality then quantity?

        • +1

          @brisdaz: there's also bkx3virgin who's recently started selling, at 8% if I recall correctly.
Plenty of choice for those so inclined to get discounts this way.

        • @MathNerd:

          8% eh? Game changer!

        • @MathNerd: thanks for the recommendation

        • +3

@MathNerd: thanks bro for the ply. Happy to help out anyone that needs them.

        • @bkx3virgin: My pleasure. The OzB community needs the support of sellers to get maximum discounts :)
