    "I bought a Delonghi Distinta kettle in copper which was the super-duper fancy model with the different temperature choices for different teas! An absolute piece of rubbish! If it was on 100c it just would not finish boiling; just kept going on & on & on until the kitchen was full of steam & the blinds dripped. I took it back & exchanged it for the simple, basic model (still Distinta & still copper) but just the one switch for boil & it is perfect! Works well- quiet, quick & looks great."

      yeah, my parents have a similar kettle (different brand) that has the temperature buttons etc, and they have the same issue, press 100 degree and it keeps boiling, sometimes it may stop, but rarely, so usually just use the 90 degree button, or when making beaky, its next to the toaster anyway so once its boiling, pick it up and poor, then as its boiled once, the 90 degree is plenty thereafter. But it is a nuisance.

      I bought both these early this year for about the same price

      Both are excellent quality

      The digital kettle works really well, but don't ever set it to 100c, as it does keep boiling water repeatedly as it maintains the temperature. It doesn't flood my kitchen, but it is excessive.

      Setting it to 80 or 90 works great

    Managed to get the navy version for $33.20 delivered from Amazon back in March with the 60% appliance sale and new user coupon.

    Great solid toaster, bread comes out evenly toasted. Unfortunately, there's no light on the toaster that stays on whilst it's toasting unless you select an option with one of the buttons.

    Thanks OP, I got the red toaster. I added in a couple of PS4 games that were on a 2 for 1 deal to get the price up to $79 to use my first time amazon discount voucher, so all in all I got $180 of products for $53. I still don't know how the total price came down to $53, less than the toaster was by itself, Amazon seemed to get a bit confused with all the discounting, but I'll take it.

      Is this one "Health Choice" because it's fully metal internally, or is it just a brand name?

      If so, will get that instead. I otherwise like these red kettles, stylish and only have a little bit of plastic in the lid.
