I see you've forgotten to put in that small detail that they can disable your EA account/take away your game because your entire "business model" is founded on the grey area of selling games and software outside the region for which they were intended. The software in Australia is priced higher than those regions because we earn 3 - 10x the average income of people in places like Russia and China.

Sites like this should be banned from ozbargain for being misleading and outright deceptive…

waits for the inevitable downvotes from people sticking their heads in the sand

    • Thinks its not just to do with average income (although compared to China and Russia could be part of the reason).

Also has to do with level of piracy in those countries. Otherwise the prices in US and Europe would also be as high as Australia which in alot of cases isnt. Its cheaper in the US and Europe. Think Australia gets charged higher simply cause they can and use the excuse that the market is smaller and expensive to ship to Australia.

"I see you’ve forgotten to put in that small detail that they can disable your EA account/take away your game."

Has this happened to anyone though? I have bought one EA game from there about few months ago and it is still working fine - no problems whatsoever.

If you prefer to pay full RRP for games you can do so, no reason to neg here.

Ive purchased many keys overseas at great prices, my accounts never been disabled. Buy the game cheap, save your dollars do you really need a box or disc?

I'd imagine it would be difficult for EA (or anyone else really) to prove that you purchased the game whilst in AU, as opposed to buying the game whilst overseas, or had someone mail it to you as a gift..

As such, your banning idea seems moot.

Never heard of EA disabling international keys. That normally falls in Valve and Activisions area of expertise. Neither would I be making a case for justifying the price differential between Australia and the rest of the world especially since equivalent Western countries like the US and UK pay significantly lower prices for their games compared to us.

Because 5 people negged your post, I'm going to email EA and see what they say about it.

If anyones accounts get banned, blame the 5 people who clicked negg to Tyrx's post.

A serial key is a goddamn serial key at the end of the day.

This is an electronic distribution, there's no region locks like with a DVD, you should be able to activate from any corner of the globe with an internet connection.

That's been the business model of virtually every online patent activation method since time immemorial. All that has to check out is your CD-Key which is then tied to a hardware serial hash key so you can't just go around installing it on every one of your friend's PCs.

I fail to see why this would be "illegal".

  • A lot of peoples here bought MOH and COD BO from them and no problems.

In term of using this kind of CDKEY EA download manager is a lot better and less strict than steam.

Hi everyone. We'r doing this job since last March and noone's Steam or EA account banned. All of our keys come from authorized retailers. We had only 2-3 disabled key in tons of keys and we gave them a new key instantly. The reason of the 2-3 keys is our old supplier sent the keys twice wrongly and EA realized this and disabled them. Excluding these we never had any problem. You can read our previous bargains on ozbargain.com, reviews on whirlpool forums, our site and our facebook page. I just want to say, why some people look negative to us, i can't understand this. Do they want to pay a game 80-90$, are they Richie Rich? Btw, thx for your all comments and your help. I'm very happy to see lots of Australian customers and visitors.

    Best Regards,
    CDKeysHere.com

  • Question.

Do EA Downloader titles have SecuROB and DRM crap removed?

  • I refuse to pay $100 for a game just because I'm in Australia. CDkeyshere is legit, this is the 3rd game I've bought from them and haven't had any issues

    • Please don’t lie! We don’t sell Fallout New Vegas because there’s a region restriction. Check our store, you can’t find this gam in our store. Don’t scam people!
