      oops fixed

      • Is it brand new, in sealed box, with manufacturer’s warranty? And how long is the warranty for? Thanks Rep.

  • The title needs to be changed to 99 Delivered.
    Cheers.

    Is this Fitbit waterproof?

    • no

    • No.From: https://www.fitbit.com/us/shop/surge , "Fitbit Surge is sweat, rain and splash proof. However, the device is not swim proof or shower proof. With any wearable device, it’s best for your skin if the band stays dry and clean".

    SILENT ALARMS

    Seems rather loud

  • Hey, is there anyway you could do a solid deaR for the charge HR 2? I'm looking to get a few for family.

  • Would love to know how this compares to the Charge 2, particularly the HR tracker.

    • +1

Charge 2 is newer/current, Surge is EOL

      • +1

Charge 2 is also rubbish. A friend and I were replacing the bands under warranty every 3-5 months. I returned mine after the 3rd failure.

        • +1

I ended up getting three or four free ones from Fitbit. What I realised was that my wrist was too small for the Large band causing the catch to go or the band to "bubble" near the catch. Once I switched to the small size (I asked Fitbit for a small band during the most recent swap), no problems anymore.

  • Just ordered one, but it charged me $10 for delivery…

    • if your cheking out using paypal express, its not factoring in free deliv. will get it sorted dont worry. thanks

  • These are a few years old yeah?

    • Yeah, many.

  • Still adding delivery charge.

Mi Band 3 is better value.

      Do you have one?

Does it work nicely in English now?

Some of the reviews said it was all set up for Chinese at the moment.

Great idea (from fitbit), disappointingly executed product though.
That said, battery life is reasonable and at this price it's not a bad entry level GPS tracking run watch relative to the android wear options around.

I went through 4 of these, all under warranty. The band failed on all of them. FYI, I looked after it, took off at night, cleaned sweat off it, no chemicals etc etc yet the band would fail near the watch. At the time there was no band replacement, now you can get them, but I wouldn't touch another fitbit product.

Garbage products sold at a massive profit margin allows them to hand their product out like candy under warranty. They take into account they will be providing customers with more than 1 when they sell it at their high end prices, too bad most of their customers don't go through their warranty system. When you're buying a fitbit don't expect it to last past the warrenty period.

    • that's interesting

my miband2 is going strong and only cost about $20+ .

I would never give Fitbit another cent. My fitbit HR1 had 3 replacement bands and my current Fitbit HR2 has had 4 replacment bands. Fitbit tried numberous times to tell me my warrenty had run out as it was based on the original product and not based on the replacements but threatening to report them to the ACCC always made them backdown. Great marketing and I like the technology behind them but such a sh1tty design.

    • Same here, went through 3 HR1 for the wife then just gave up and got my money back after a lot of wrangling.

  • The device is 4 years old and was discontinued years ago

  • Is it brand new, in sealed box, with manufacturer’s warranty? And how long is the warranty for? Thanks Rep.

    • yup brand new. regular wty you get on a new product

  • Lol, that near cheaper than the bands the sell as replacements on the fitbit store!

  • When they say GPS TRACKING, do they mean you can track a person who is using it ?

    • If you pair it to your phone and follow them within Bluetooth range you can do live tracking.

      • Yeah, not what I need. I thought it would work like "track my phone" app or something =\
I actually need something to track on my phone and see a persons location. I need it because a parent has been diagnosed with early dementia. In the event they wonder off, I won't have to run around like a headless chicken.

        • You'll want something with 3g / 4g in it then. They do exist I remember a friend going on holiday a few years ago for some tracking alert watches for their kids pretty cheap but they didn't work when back here.

        • Nah, this is for GPS tracking as in going for a run and seeing your run speed, distance etc. based off GPS. You don't need your phone for this. It's the only Fitbit that has this feature, all of the others are connected GPS as in you're required to have your phone on you to do GPS tracking.

        • @ricklee: iconic has a built in gps as well ..

  • Any deal on Ionic?

  • I had a surge.. a POS. Replaced on Warranty due to water ingress.. then after a while the replacement started doing the same thing. I was careful with it to keep it away from water.. did not wear it in the rain or shower but still got water in it.. I guess just from sweat ..
I have a iconic now.. vastly better tracker …
But I guess for the price offered the surge would be ok ..
