Greetings everyone, I noticed this deal posted over at TB and thought it was worth posting. Thanks to Nick123 for the find and post, credit to him!

As per this article, Amazon will be running some great promos for their Prime Day.

  • Prime members will get $10 in Amazon credit when they stream Prime Video for the first time between July 9 and 17.
  • Those who join Kindle Unlimited before July 31 will get two months of free access to Kindle Unlimited, with over one million titles for new customers
  • Those who join Audible between July 9 and 31 will get three months free access.

It is also referenced in the article posted by Ausdroid.

I also noticed that Amazon AU is following similar trends to the US store for their specials, such as the 4 Months Unlimited Music for $0.99, and also the Kindle Deal. Similar deals have also been bouncing around Amazon UK, Amazon Germany and others for the lead up to prime day.

Q. How does this promotion work?
To receive a credit, take the following steps:

Step 1: A Prime membership is required to take advantage of the promotion. If you’re already a Prime member, proceed to Step 2. If you do not have a Prime membership yet, either (a) sign up for a Prime membership or (b) if you have not already had a 30-day Prime free trial, eligible customers may sign up for a 30-day Prime free trial Amazon.com.au/Prime.

Step 2: Sign into your Prime account on PrimeVideo.com or compatible devices and stream any movie or TV episode.

Step 3: A $10 credit will be applied directly to your amazon.com.au account within 3-4 days. When the credit is applied, you will receive an email confirmation that the credit has been applied to your account. The promotional credit will not appear visibly in your account, but you will see the amount applied on the receipt when you make a purchase. The credit can be used for anything sold and fulfilled by Amazon AU, and will not apply to items sold by third party sellers or other Amazon entities (including Amazon US). Offer will also not apply to digital content, subscription purchases (such as Kindle Unlimited or Audible) or Amazon Gift Cards.

  • The $10 credit will expires at 11:59 PM AEST on July 27, 2018.
  • The $10 credit can be applied to the eligible items contained in orders equal to or exceeding $20. Taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges do not apply when determining minimum purchase amount.
  • Offer and promotional credit will only apply to items on amazon.com.au that are shipped and sold by Amazon AU (look for "sold by Amazon AU" on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities (including Amazon US) will not qualify for this offer, even if "fulfilled by Amazon AU" or "Prime Eligible."
  • Offer does not apply to digital content, subscription purchases (such as Kindle Unlimited or Audible) or Amazon Gift Cards.

As always, enjoy!

    • Me too

  • I had only registered my phone number so didn’t receive any email regarding $10 credit. Does it just automatically appear in account after you’ve watched a video?

  • had an amazon account before but signed up for prime(free trial) today for the toaster.

Should i watch the entire video ?

  • Now is the time to get coked up to your eyeballs with your $10 credit!

      • Thursday night, the 13th…

        • I have got mine this morning.

  • Video Unavailable
We're experiencing a problem playing this video. For assistance, please go to www.primevideo.com/help.

Do you have to watch the whole video? Can you just watch a few seconds then close? Because that's what happened. An ad played for about 2 secs then I got that error.

    • i watched a whole video. was an episode of some tv series. i think you have to watch it until the end.

      • i skipped to a few seconds before the end. It worked when I tried it on Edge.

I hope that will count because there's nothing I Actually want to watch.

I don't like the PQ. Any video I've acquired through erm, other means, looks a lot crisper.

  • I signed up to prime and watched my video last Tuesday (10/07) and I still haven't received an email. When I login to Amazon nothing shows up either even if I go to checkout. Guess I should just write it off as a lost cause?

edit: I watched 90% of a Spongebob episode

  • Just got mine through email. Thanks

  • still waiting on mine

    • Is it shipped and sold from Amazon AU?

      • Is there anyway to filter the items sold by amazon au

      • yes it is shipped and sold by amazon.com.au
        also tried other items too.
did your discount appear on the checkout page?

        • Hmm that's weird then, I think it might just be an Amazon issue, I'd recommend to just live chat them and get them to manually apply, they usually oblige :)

        • Update: got in touch with live chat and they reapplied the credit. All good now

    • Same here

Got an email about the $10 credit

        • I had a chat with Amazon help, they applied the $10 credit.

      • i'm not game to try but would the discount come after you press "place order"?

        • definitely not. I called their customer care and got a $20 credit applied to my account which can be used on any item.

        • Nice work! They just gave me the original $10

        • don't know what to buy now with the $10 credit since every thing i wanted the price gone up. meh

  • Not appearing on checkout, sent an email.

  • Didn't seem to work for me either. Oh well, Prime trial has been good to me. Anyone thinking of subscribing for prime?

  • I thought the discount may be applied after I ordered, and might take a couple of days, but it didn't.
Solved in a couple of minutes with online chat; they gave me a new $10 credit to be used with no expiry.
