Why??? I've been purchasing from their Hawthorn store for years and never had a problem with them…

I've never ordered online from them, i always just call the Hawthorn shop to make sure they have stock, or when they can get it in for me, then just rock up…
Have always had excellent service from the guys there…
I'm the opposite, bought online a few times, never had a problem, but tried calling their Bundoora store, told there was stock, went over and got told they don't stock that item! TWICE! #$*&!

Acer Australia support is leaps & bounds ahead of HP Aust for consumer grade laptops IME! That is the telling factor IMHO! ;)

As for shipping costs, unfortunately they are set from the courier companies, and can not be changed without us making a loss.

Not a bargain, just the average price, plus I wouldn't buy from centrecom unless you can go instore. Onlinecomputer also offer a 2gb upgrade for $19.
Maybe Centrecom can offer a bonus 2GB of RAM for $19 :p

I'm going to NEG this deal because of there lack of customer service from their last deal, their dodgy business practices (I dont think anyone actually got a wireless N dongle from their last sale), their lack of response on ozbargain during their last deal. I will never buy from centrecom again! I also hope they go out of business as they deserve to for their illegal/immoral standings with their last "sale".
The negative aspects have already been mentioned by others so no need to repeat.
Never had a good experience in store either so a neg from me too.Centrecom should be banned for their unetical business module.

I don't think that you should vote based on the deal as I believe that if you order online you would have a chance at this happening again. I think that centrecom should be at least be restricted to posting instore only deals here or better yet banned from posting on ozbargain. If a store has dodgy business practices then why should they be allowed to post their deals here. I think we all know that they don't honor every deal they post, and they change the terms of deals after many have been sold. I for one think they tarnish ozbargain's reputation with every deal they post. Every deal in the future that I see from centrecom no matter how good will always get a NEG vote from me and I will not buy from them again as I am sure MANY other feel the same way. In my opinion MSY has better customer service and that says alot as everyone knows MSY don't even have customer sevice.
I fully agree with you, after I called them many times and after I emailed them 5 times they said we will forward your email to store manager and guess what. a month has passed and no reply yet.

I received the 2gb HDD without any fuss and arrived within 4 days from purchase. I guess what you pay is what you get. MSY is very cheap but try calling their phone number and no one picks up or it's always engaged. You can't have the best of both world. Either buy cheap or pay for the service.
Please note I have no association with Centre Com but it's ashame these neg comments stops genuine bargani hunters from buying.Just cuse you got ur HDD doesnt mean they are a good business. there are 100s of buyers that didnt get their HDDs and they money was held by scamcom.
Purchase from these guys at your own peril.
