Tourist tax, that being said I used ivideo (https://www.ivideo.com.tw/english/japanwifirental) last time I went for pocket wifi rental. Coverage wasn't great for the base model but would probably be better with the more expensive ones. Unlimited mobile data for $40/m.

You can pick up 5GB for $50 at Narita airport.

    • From where??

      • As you exit the immigration and get to the shops, there are several shops next to one another selling sim cards, it was one of those. Can't remember the name.

  • What's the expiry date on these?

    • "Your SIM works for 30 days from the date of your first usage or until you have used up your data allowance."

  • Thinking of getting the 3gb option. If I run out of data, am I able to buy a recharge? Website doesn’t say anything.

  • When I went I paid around $110 for 3 weeks and had a portable wifi hotspot I used roughly 122gb
