  • Better off learning to use a steel or slinging that 20 to a local knife sharpener imo

    • Too lazy for that :(

The point is that this’ll ruin your blades.
If they crap knives and you don’t care then consider a mains powered unit, this looks as though it may well be battery powered ie crap. Advertising itself as a screwdriver sharpener is a good indicator it’s a crappy unit.

  • Who on earth sharpens their screwdrivers???

    • People who’ve wrecked em trying to use em as a cold chisel

    • LOL I think "sharpen" is the wrong terminology, I think they call it re-shaping or re-conditioning

      • There’s no reconditioning a cheap-ass screwdriver

  • Sharpen your mail opener???

  • Same unit for 10 bucks - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Electric-Knife-Sharpener-Swifty-…

    Not worth $5 imo

I got one of these. Can confirm it's junk.

  • I worry about automatic devices ruining the blade.

I worry about myself ruining the blade by trying to sharpen them too. There's plenty of people who'll say its easy.. yeah.. if you've got time and a set you're willing to ruin.

Going somewhere to get them sharpened is too pricey.

I can't win. Therefore I will probably always have blunt knives.
