I just bought my nvidia shield from them today so i kinda hope they don't have it! ha ha.

      • Band H had them last week with game controller for USD$179($199 normal). Here the cheapest seems to be $329+ delivery(as at Computer Alliance). Considering we have finally got them, it is probably due for a new model so we are having the old one dumped on us. I decided not to buy at the moment, and got Kodi 18 working with Amazon Prime high bitrate on my $40 Android box instead.

    • +7

Had under 100 come in last week, nearly all sold so none will be going up on eBay unfortunately. We will likely be out at the shop within days. Maybe if we get another decent batch in next week we will be able to push some to eBay, see what happens.

      • Bugger, I was hoping to get one in this sale too. Next time

      • +1

        Hi rep, I'm Scab.

This is a personal question but have you ever met Tightarse.

It's my dream and on my bucket list.

      • Did you end up getting any more Shields?

    • My own suppliers were spamming me with them at very low prices last week. Seems they're wanting to unload them quickly.

      • I have one from the US. Any significant difference other that the power plug and maybe an Aussie accent on the Google assistant?

        • You should be able to change to Aussie speech.

  • Hmmm a bit disappointing… Umart and Mwave have better prices for the 1080ti even with this discount applied :(

    • +13

      Hello!

I can't let that pass. True that we don't have a lot of entry level models up there right now, but if you want quality, 1080ti STRIX is the best price around, even before the 15% discount: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172763265551

      For comparison see: http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=1080ti+stri…

Also some well priced mid range cards up there.

      • +1

        Hello Rep,

How about a deal on 1050Ti Low profile?

        Cheers,

        • We usually have a few 1050ti low profiles about, but looks like no stock at the moment.

        • +3

          @Computer Alliance:

Better keep a low profile until then =p

        • @Computer Alliance: Any chances of the Asus RX 580 8GB Strix TOP being restocked during the week?

        • @mykarl: Haven't bought at a good price on those recently and not likely to be any volume in over the near term.

Did just order in some MSI RX580 at sell price of $399 before the 15% discount that are have been a pretty good card: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173085279746

        • @Computer Alliance: Ah that's a shame :(
How about the Sapphire RX 580 Nitro? Can't seem to find those at a decent price anywhere.

        • @montorola: nvdia may be out and it is only the 1080's that are overstocked.

    • +4

      Prove it.

    • +6

I find Computer Alliance to be a very decent company, with prices closest to the lowest. I can generally find cheaper by a couple of dollars somewhere else, but they have a well put together web site (for computer parts seller) and good service too.

      • nvm, nothing to see here. Please delete this comment :|

    • They're more expensive all the time, so they don't need to 'jack'.
I get their weekly email spam with 'deals', and most of the time the deals cost more than PCCG/Mwave/Scorptec.

    • Comment be negged.

Thanks TA. Great deal from a great seller.

  • No tplink vr2800?

  • +1

what is your thought on this guys
genuinely asking. Need to store personal photos/videos and movies/tv series and to use as a 8 camera setup(installing soon) nvr. I already have 2 x 8TB ironwolf HDD.

    • +1

You're set. Get a plex server going and sit back and relax.

    • +2

Price isn't so great. It's been $605-640 after coupon IIRC.

Haven't tried using mine really, yet. Not sure which cameras to purchase.

      • +1

        645 with the 20% discount… Slightly cheaper with 25?

        679 isn't so bad.

But i got one.. And it's great cause everything works out the box. Plex is good to.

        • it will be ~$600 with all the discounted eBay gift card-Same as 25% off earlier.

    • +1

Got one, use it as a repository for security cameras, file storage and plex server. Keep in mind you only get 2 camera lines with it. I ended up using other software and just use the nas as a repository rather than the camera management device.

      • *licenses not "lines"

  • Hi any HDD docking station part of the deal? Can only see on the Computer Alliance site not the eBay store.

    • We have a fair number on our main site that are not in stock at the moment, the ones at decent stock level are on ebay and fair variety there, just search the ebay store for "hdd docking station"

  • -1

    Not 20% off, no deal.

    • Missed 25% one for Ebay plus member :(

  • any Parts on sale eg Ram/ cpus Mobos ?

somthing with 8 DIm slots perhaps ?

  • Oh noooo! FML

Bought an SSD from Shopping Express at 7:05pm and now you posted this :((( sigh

    • You probably missed out more on the 25% sale on SSD at the beginning of the month. It was even cheaper, EVO 860 1TB for $314ish.

  • Any chance of you guys selling the new HP Omen range of lappies?

  • +1

    Any i5 8400s?

    • +3

A shortage of Intel CPUs is hitting the market right now. Started with the mobile chips, but now impacting desktops. We were not expecting the desktop shortage and have been caught a bit short

Some stores have already increased prices with more to come. We are reserving most of our mid and lower end Intel chips for system builds etc as we are at risk of running out. We have decent stock of the more high end chips, particularly 8700K, but there probably won't be any 8400s listed.

      • I know that feeling!

  • +1

Looking at grabbing a 2700x and a ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero, any chance you guys could upgrade the bios to support the cpu, prior to sending the board out?

    • Yes

    • +3

We often see north of 1000 extra orders a day during these sales, and that means we are struggling to keep up. We didn't generally do bios updates last time for that reason and same applies now, but given we are not behind yet we can do the occasional upgrade for now — make a note requesting a upgrade in the order and a understanding and you accept that the board will be open when you receive it.

We won't necessarily be able to ship immediately for any order needing a bios update.

      ..Adam

      • When I resell goods on eBay, especially when they are high priced I always fear I am going to get a chargeback because of dodgy buyers or Australia Post who leave parcels at the door even though they are marked as registered, signature & insurance. I don't know how retailers of expensive and small items avoid all these hassles.

Best 25 inch monitor under $300?

  • sweet

  • +2

OMG OMG OMG… I feel like I need to buy something! What should I buy?!? 😵🤑🤪

    • +1

      debt consolidation :P

  • Need a monitor, between 29 to 32". Any recommendations?

    • +2

err, gaming or work, you want UHD or not? curved or not? happy with FHD at that size?
do you have an nvidia or ATI card?

      • For work. As long as it's not harsh to the eyes for long hours. Connected to base docking module of laptop.

        • +1

get a 32" UHD if you do a lot of reading
just have to make sure your dock, cables and laptop supports 3640x2160 at 60hz

  • Finally caved and grabbed myself a X34P for $1,374.15
Not the best price it's been, but not far from it, and given CA is relatively local, I'll have the reassurance that I can easily return it if there are any LB issues.

  • Looking to buy a cheap gaming mouse. Is the Razer Abyssus 2000, Logitech G300S or Asus Cerberus mouse any good?

    • rival 310, mid range mouse, but really good mouse.

  • Any special offers on the wd red 10tb drives?

    Cheers

  • Thanks CA. Just ordered parts for a new build. Cheaper than MSY and better quality components. Can't complain other than having to wait for delivery. :)

    • My order is already with the courier, impressive turnaround guys. Thumbs up from me.

  • Best gaming monitor anyone?

        • @ToastySteve: Nice! Dunno if I can squeeze $1374 past the Mrs though, although that's almost exactly how much I got back in tax hahaha

  • Just in time for building my new PC!

Got myself a GPU, MB, CPU and CPU Cooler!

    • what did you buy from Computer Alliance please?
I am having same thought "building my new PC"

  • Hey, are you guys still able to update the BIOS on B350's prior to shipping?

I noticed in an earlier comment you said you'd be able to as long as you weren't behind on orders, just wanted to make sure that it's not too late

    Thanks, :)

    • Got slammed today but can probably do a few more. There are already quite a few alreday lined up to be done tomorrow.

  • I can't up vote, great deal, great seller. Thanks TA for sharing and the rep's honest replies above.

    • Why can't you upvote? What happens when you try?

  • +2

    +1 for customer service.

Stupid me forgot the code, but they refunded me within 2 hours to repurchase!

  • @Computer Alliance, how come the Viewsonic XG2703-GS is not available on Ebay? Is it possible to arrange an order of this alongside the promo?

    • No stock (well, one at the moment, but not enough to be pushed to eBay!).

We have a decent sized batch on PO and if they come in next week they will go up automatically. I'm not certain of eta on those but early next week likely.

  • Bummer - I've been waiting for a deal on an LG 38UC99, which Computer Alliance list, but their un-discounted price is already 15% above other stores. :(

    • Not sure what price it was showing when you made this comment, but at just over $1500 including shipping after the discount, it's about the cheapest I've seen it.

  • What's the general reliability for the 6TB WD Red vs the 4TB ones? From reading some of the earlier reports the 6TB had a higher failure rate vs the 4TBs.

Any special pricing on the 4/6TB for multiple purchases (E.g. 4-5 units)?

  • Hmm, no NZXT H500/H500i case colour other than black/blue?

  • Hi everyone,
What desktop would you recommend from them?will buy monitor separately.
    Thx in advance
    DT

  • ….awww…..and I bought something else with the 25% off deal and this 15% deal still beats it to be cheaper for the same item…..🤦

  • Looked at buying G440 mousepads.
Friday evening, 10 left in stock.
Come Saturday afternoon, 'out of stock'
I checked the sold items history
and between Friday and Sat there were only 1-2 sold.

    Whats happening CA???
Did you guys reduce the ebay stock to nothing?
Its dodge also now that CA lists it in store as $29
Staticice says you guys sold it at $19
    The ebay listing was $19
    Stealth (price)jack?

Still benefited from the deal, so thanks TA for posting.

    • We were selling them at $19 and they were available on ebay and in shop at that price.

Price on incoming stock has gone up hence the retail increase and the reserve level on them has been hit so have been pulled off eBay for now — we want to keep what we have to sell alongside some upcoming promotional deals we are doing in other channels.

No Great Mousepad Conspiracy to see here!

  • Can you guys at Computer Alliance please put the Corsair Strafe MK2 keyboard on the ebay side ? I am looking at the Cherry MX Red.

  • Radeon 380 8Gb $399 plus 15% off and free shipping?! Done. Cheaper price outright before discount. Computer alliance always delivers some good eBay deals.

  • Hi Rep

Any chance of a good deal on the LG 38WK95C-W? Cheapest elsewhere (including 5% discount) at the moment is just over $1600 inc shipping.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-38WK95C-W-38-Curved-WQHD-IPS-…

From NZ but according to LG website, monitors purchased in Aust/NZ have warranty coverage in both Aust/NZ.

    Cheers

  • Can't wait for this deal to end.
    I keep impulse buying stuff.

  • Hey OP/Rep, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-GTX1080-8GB-Turbo-PCIe-… that card's price is $699 at Umart. I know your discounted price is lower by a little bit but apples for apples at default pricing you're more expensive. Keen to buy it but not at it's current pricing.

  • They put the incorrect name on the shipping label and tax invoice for my order. I called them up and they were quite rude over the phone blaming me for using the same eBay account to order for my friend before, and eventually hanged up on me. I put the correct name and address on my order through the eBay interface for this order. How am I suppose to know how their internal system works? Worst customer service experience ever.
