Thats a damn good price. close to the best ever, even back before the crypto boom i dont remember these going for under $300, even the 4gb ones only went under by a little from memory.
For people that dont know too much, its essentially equal with the GTX 1060 from nvidia, but i havent seen any of those go this cheap.

      It’s used….

      • shit, you are right, my bad i missed that. Well explains the price, lol.

  • great price. Here's hoping for a <$500 56.

You're better off with a 1070 Ti, Vega has just been a bit of a flop. The RX 580 is okay, it trades blows with a GTX 1060 6GB for less money. I don't really see any real benefit of the 56 over 1079 or 1070 Ti. Same goes for the 64 over 1080.

        1079

        My favourite card.

Freesync. I can buy a kogan 3440x1440 100hz freesync display for $589, or an X34 for $1100-1200 with an extremely similar gaming experience.

That over $500 difference could upgrade you from a 1050 to a 1080, maybe even a ti if you find a good price.

        • Extremely similar would be the same panel as a G-sync monitor.

G-sync is only used with high end panels.

The difference for the same panel with G-sync compared to Freesync is often around 200USD but not necessarily.

        • @Diji1:

In that case the most similar panel will be a Z35P, which has 120Hz instead of 100Hz compared to the kogan and is one inch bigger. For double the price.

If one could get a vega 56 for a bit cheaper than the gtx 1070ti i would say go for it, performance is pretty damn close but i (and a lot of people online) like the AMD software better and for the last year or two its been as good or better than nvidias in regards to stability and issues.
Plus Nvidia are doing some questionable business practices so if possible supporting AMD is nice. Dont get me wrong i bought a GTX card because at the time i got a crazy deal on it so im not saying madly buy AMD, but if the performance and cost are very similar i would suggest people to go AMD just to help support competition.
Theres also g-sync/freesync to think about.

I retract my comment about good price on used cards.

Can you put used in the title please?

  • +13

these are used with no invoice and from a mining rig

  • do ppl stil mine with this?

  • This should say used in the title and description.

  • +5

ComputerAlliance still has it new for $20 more if people are wary of buying used. Considering they have 30 of the cheapest RX 580's used I wouldn't be surprised if they were used for mining or something.

  • So these are use no wonder the cheaper price. Do they still have the full warranty?

  • Ummm to get used or not used…

  • +4

Nowadays i would NEVER buy a used GPU considering all the mining that was going on lately.

  • I managed to poach an RX 580 during the recent ebay plus/25% off tech sale for about $340. I believe there is another ebay coupon of 20% called PARKA or something.

  • +1

Not really cheap for a used RX580 considering current pricing.

  • not a good deal… not much more for a brand new one

  • +1

Why buy used without warranty, when you can get brand new with a 3 year warranty for just $20 (just 6.6% more)?

Am I wrong in deducing that only a Moron would buy this?

    • if someone with a restricted budget that cant put a another dollar in their budget, it kinda good? what gpu cost 305 and is good as or better than an rx 580?

      • Buying this used gpu vs buying a new one in the current climate: is like asking whether you want a budget hooker with 90% chance Herpes or a virgin girl.
