    Cashback $95

    • From where?

      • Cashrewards. Was just about to comment on how I've never seen this before.

    • +8

The devil is in the detail

'Cashback is only available when you take up a new phone on a 24 month Go Mobile Plus plan and handset repayment.'

  • +1

oof on the $39/15gb plan atm

    • Go on chat n ask for 5gb bonus u never know lol

      • +3

I just did and got it.

  • +4

Now the challenge is trying to get them to do this for an existing customer.

    • +1

If your an existing customer you are eligible for the forty gig unlimited plan but once you've reached your limit they slow the speed down but i can easily download 400 gigs in for the remainder of the month

      • Wait, what 40 GB unlimited?

      • I can get 2TB at full 4g speed APTER they're throttled .😋

        • How do you do that?

        • Ya how 😮

        • @maraco:

          How do you do that?

          Pay for it … Duh

        • @salmon123:

          Free

        • -1

are you downloading just for the hell of it? What is in your download queue that you need 2TB a month?

        • -1

          @TimOfMcDowall:
No need too rude friend! I just want to know how far I could go with the restriction of T&C . I have NBN at home and with great speed, I'm working all day, then here is no point at that much download. Just in case NBN off or anyone here need help HOW TO just PM me.

        • @cuchuoito: not being rude, genuinely curious…

        • I'm anywhere between 1.5 to 4TB every month. 4K files are huge, plus have a massive collection of TV and movies. It builds up quick when you've got fast internet speeds.

        • @cuchuoito: it wont let me PM you. Can you please PM me :)

  • -5

Does it stack with 25% friends and family discount? My mate works for Tel$tra.

    • +9

      Ask your mate

    • +1

Don't think so, 25% is employee discount not friends and family
And again it is for "new customers" most Telstra employees have free Telstra phones plans

  • literally re-contracted byo $49pm for 15gb :S

    • Haha yep, same here on Monday!

Oh well, might see what i can do…

    • If you ask on chat they will give you the extra 5GB. Worked for me anyway..

  • +3

    JB HiFi your move…

    • +12

Saw the poster last night, they have $39 for 20GB and a $200 voucher.

      • +2

When does that start? Do you know if it supports data sharing? Keen to get an extra sim for my iPad

  • +1

I knew I should have waited…..jb deal was great at the time with $200 gift card.

    • Telstra told me recently that no new plans include days sharing.

  • +6

No Free international calls on the cheaper plan and poor choice of countries for the middle plan means a no deal for me.

    • Same here. Ages ago I used to get all the UK talk time I needed on a $40 prepaid with Telstra. No way I'm paying (gross) $50 postpaid/contracted now without it. Daylight robbery.

  • +3

This is a good step in the right direction; there has been an improved deal every day this week. I personally will be holding out until that trend ends as these threads are filled with people lamenting they had not waited an extra day to re-contract.

    • +4

Then you’ll miss out on any deal and have to pay full price.

  • +2

I can't see the discounted price

    • +6

Same, when I clicked the link it was the usual price with no discount.

  • $69(59 with discount) deal seems to be the same as the previous endless data deal, now just called peace of mind data

  • I'm on the $69 40gig plan and it slows dowm when I exceed my limit which I can do in one day but I'm still downloading 400gigs in that month so this is a great plan.

    • +1

What speeds do you get when it slows down?

      • -1

        999.9 bytes/s

      • 1.5Mbps

    • +1

but you can't stream an HD youtube over 1.5Mbit connection as you don't have the bandwidth and to download 400GB you'd take 26 days..
don't think that is a useful comment do you?

  • -1

if you need telstra for specific coverage, 40gb for $59 with shaping doesn’t seem bad, but the turn off for me is no data sharing, and to add a data sim is $5 per mth /$60 pa, optus does the data share sims for a once off $5 and then no on goings.

guess under the telstra scheme it’s risk would be people get a data share sim, put it into a modem and run the whole household on shaped data

    • +6

Optus hasn’t done those data sharing sims for years. It’s $5 monthly there too now.

      • +2

        Hi Cheese510.

Do you have a link for the $5 data share sim? Best i could find was a $20 data share sim with a $10 discount if bundled.

        Thanks,.

    • im pretty certain the shaped plans exclude data sharing.

    • I'm told that I need to pay for 2GB data sim for data sharing which is what I'm doing today…

  • Does porting in from a Telstra wholesale MVNO like Woolworths, ALDI, Belong count as a new customer for the $10 discount?

    • -2

      Yes it normally always does.

      • -1

        Excellent thanks

    • +1

Not for me. I went in to JB 3 weeks ago for the pixel deal coming from Belong, they said I wasn't eligible

  • It says head to your nearest store

  • +1

Thanks! Just chatted with Telstra Rep via Telstra App. Got 10$ bonus on 49$ BYO. The bonus will go on until recontracting.

    • Are you an existing customer? Best I could get last week via chat was $5 off ($44 pm for the S plan and 20Gb)

      • Just ported in via JB a few days ago.

200$ JB voucher + 10$ off (today via app)
This is the sweetest deal for me!

    • I can confirm that this works via chat…

    • yeah, can confirm that i got the $10 offered to me for port in.

Asked about a Data Share sim for $5pm. Was advised that the Data Share sim has now been discontinued?

      • Yes, data share is discontinued. I got offered a separate SIM with 2GB for $5 pm

        • so, if the 2 gig sim is on the same account, does that mean you can share 22 gig of data?

        • @Dud:
I was offered 2GB data soon for $20/month and no sharing.

  • I'm on chat ATM too, my contract expired last month so we'll see how they do. :)

    • let us know how you go……

      • …and it's a 'no'. The agent said he would have given me the $10 discount but he didn't have the option at his end. AND I couldn't see it at the OP's link either? Maybe the offer hasn't started yet?

FTR I am an existing customer with an expired contract JIC that factors into things. Worth a try though. :)

        • +1

You should at least be able to get $5 off pm as an existing customer ( I got offered that first up via chat with disconnections)

        • @theredrabitt: No worries, might try again later in the day. :)

    • +1

Do it via JB so u can get 200$ voucher

      • Is that an in store thing? I couldn't see anything on their website?

        • +1

I am in VIC. confirm JB HIFI Werribee and Hoppers Crossing both have this deal.

the rep in Werribee Store said he has not received any updates on when this $200 voucher promotion ends, so he believes it will go on till end Aug.

        • @josh0161: Cheers, only for new Telstra customers though?

      • My current Telstra SIM only is out of contract, would the JB gift voucher offer work if I port out to AmaySIM and then port back to Telstra again? Anyone knows? Thanks.

        • I am also curious about this. I would resign with Telstra for a $200 voucher no problems.

  • How long is this offer expected to last?

  • Just signed up on line no probelms with being an existing telstra customer.

    • +1

      Care to share?

Did you go through the online chat and got the $10 discount?
Which plan did you get, the $59 or the $49 one?

      Cheers

      • Sorry went through online chat took about 15 minutes no hassles just put in the link for this page and all was good.

I got the $49 plan. I wad on an old $40 with 10gb of data so it was a no brainer for me.

        • That's what I was trying to do…I might try again and link them up here.

          Cheers

        • I just went through online chat and they would not budge. They stated that even if they wanted to, the $10 discount would not be able to go through the system

        • @Riker88: That's what the guy I spoke to this morning said too. Wonder it's working for some people?

        • @frenal - Care to share your chat transcript please? I'm sceptical because I've tried this multiple times before and failed (always as an existing customer). Doing it online also automagically removes the $10 monthly discount once you're forced to establish that you're an existing customer.

        • @Riker88: ha similar for me. Sounds like the same script.

  • Does the $10 deal work for the $89 plan too? Interested in the roaming data

    • Yes it does, as long as you port in

      • Thanks, just didn’t see anyone mentioning the $89 plan, is it such a bad deal that no one takes it up? Am I the only one that finds the 2gb roaming / month attractive?

  • +5

JB are back with their usual deal. $39 for 20gb +$209 gift card. Saw it as a poster. Can post proof if really needed but it's there.

    • +2

being a virgin customer I think it's time to bite the bullet

      • Ha I just switched from telechoice (telstra) to tpg (Vodafone) and its only been a week and I can't stand it. I'll be porting to this in the next few days.

What's enticing me more is that I've been looking at jabra elite 65ts and while they're hiked up at $300 at jb, the voucher will go a long way.

      • +1

I'll miss the data roll over that virgin has….

        • +1

i miss the international calls to ANY country, not selected countries.

      • Don't be in a rush to lose your virginity.

    • Is this for existing or port out/in?

    • Hi mate - would you mind posting it? I'm looking to go into JB today to hook up the $59/month deal
