  • That's a good deal if not for the ghosting issues.

oh shit my bad thought they were the same one

        • +5

Is confirmed that the IPS panel version suffers from same issues - ghosting and slow wake up

          @kehuehue:
I've got one play fps and racing games and haven't noticed any ghosting. That's with amd freesync and vsync enabled. Slow wakeup times yeah but even that isn't too bad. Great monitor for the price.

        • @kehuehue: not just that, Ive had issues with backlight bleeding on AOC and Viewsonic IPS panels, definitely ruins movie night. Everybody do check your panels for this.

75hz… Surely not a "gaming" monitor. Good price for 32" ips though.

    • +3

People who dislike 60hz often are happy at 72hz.

75hz is certainly ok for gaming. Even fps games would be fine at 75hz.

      Speaking from experience.

Sure 144hz is "better" but not everyone (actually very few) see the difference.

      • Maybe in most games nah but for a game like CS:GO you will notice the difference in any change. I only went from 60 to 75 and I noticed a big difference, recently had to sell my 75hz monitor to get money for a new one and I've been using my secondary old 60hz one while I wait and my god in CSGO of all games it's just so painful.
So I extremely doubt you wouldn't notice a difference between 75 and 144 when I could easily notice a difference with 60 to 75 and 10x more noticeable when going back to 60.
I'd say 75hz is what most people should aim for regardless of if they are casual or serious gamer or not one at all. 144hz is a bit overkill but nice to have especially when you want to play an older game because my PC can't get 60fps on new games let alone 144.
No offense my brother but…are you sure you aren't getting old?

      • +4

Every human can see the difference between 75Hz and 144Hz, I'm not sure where you're getting your facts.

        • +2

If you cant notice the difference between 144hz and 60hz, better go to spec savers…

Using 144hz and its night a day difference comparing to 60 hz

60 to a 100hz is huge, 100 to 144hz while not as huge is still noticeable

        • It is definitely noticeable but I am past my twitch shooter days and am blind as a bat now.. plus the games I play honestly the fps is not what i am watching haha lol.

It is mostly the hilarious voice chat lul

I should really upgrade from a TN panel but future me is thinking my $60 1080p 60hz 24 inch AOC 2450 is fine

Honestly I have learnt to love the lag spikes lol.. to each their own and own to each whatever you don't like another will preach

        • @AlienC: I think you are either getting old or you just don't care brother because the jump from 75 to 144 is night and day.

        • @Lolno234: definitely getting old definitely that one.. I am basically senile at this point

    • +2

lol, 75hz is fine for gaming. Yeah, 144hz is better but not everyone wants to spend an extra 500 bucks for a slightly better refresh rate

  • Damn this is cheap. I'm after the jump to 4k,and the price goes nuts…

    • Might consider buying used? I've seen some decent 4k monitors for around 300-400 on Gumtree

    • +1

i bought the 2k equivalent from viewsonic, should have gone 4k, it’s for desktop work use not gaming.

had 28” 1920x1400 monitor before that and notice the pixel spread on 2560 x 1440 at 32” size when up close doing documents or spreadsheets, etc. also lack of height and swivel means i’ve had to prop it up under the stand with books to get the view angle right when seated

32” 4k would be much better, hard part is finding decent 4k ips under $450 and with adjustable stand.

60hz, 120hz, etc …is only issue for gamers, for desktop use lots of people just use the intel graphics that comes on the cpu which does the resolution but not the refresh rates etc above 60hz.

      • that's strange,

        2560x1440 on 32" , has similar pixel density as 24" FHD 1080p

  • One left!

  • damnit!
ironically was off to buy this monitor this morning for $300 in melbourne.
tried buying it off eBay now and it's sold out :( just my luck

  • Must… Resist…

  • other sellers have it for the same price:)
    pulled the trigger

  • Says out ofstock

  • other sellers do have this………… shame no vesa deal breaker for me :(

    • +1

Yeah, every time there's a killer deal like this for a AOC monitor I get my hopes up that maybe…just maybe they'll be VESA compatible. But they rarely are :-(

  • -3

    Had me until 'freesync' vomit

    • +1

Find me the same as this but with gsync…oh wait.

Keep this panel within its freesync window and it'll be plenty good =)

    • so you're willing to pay extra for g-sync?

  • GTX 1060 enough to game on these monitors?

    • Depends on your game and settings, but yeah a 1060 can handle 2k ok.

Of course you won't get the nice freesyncness, but I'm currently using a monitor with neither!

I will say unless you're sitting quite a distance away, go with a smaller panel. 2k at 32" is actually a lower ppi/"sharpness" than 1080p at 24"!

      • Damnit i want better than ok, ill just stick to 1080p for now

      • What does freesync mean? Is it only compatible with radeon cards?

        • Freesync (amd) and gsync (nvidia) is the tech these companies use to allow monitors to handle variable refresh rate/frame rates.

The monitor will still work perfectly fine with a nvidia gpu, just at a constant refresh rate.

        • Yeah freesync only works with Radeon. Gsync is for Nvidia cards. If you're buying a monitor try match it up with the gpu. Otherwise you're losing out on getting VRR

    • +1

      it was $315 before discount.

      • Yeah, I got it for $252 delivered + 1% cashback and 1550 Flybuy points. Thanks OP.

  • Any deals on 1440p 144hz model ? I see there is a 1080p one here
