  • Does anyone know if there are still bugs when using the XB1 controller for kodi?

  • Does anyone know whether this is the xbox one s controller?

    • +1

      It is.

    • The way to tell is the plastic around the xbox home button is white, the non Bluetooth old ones are black glossy plastic.

  • Need a controller for my son's laptop, is this one easy to connect and compatible with all PC games?

    • It has Bluetooth, so it will work with a laptop and most PC games.

    • I use this with my laptop. To be honest, it's pretty good, but because it's bluetooth the battery runs out fairly quick. I would recommend getting the battery pack and charging cable as well (you can charge and still play at the same time), I found it was pretty annoying to constantly change AA batteries.

Compatibility-wise, it's down to the game whether it supports a controller. You can check on steam or origin where games have controller support.

edit: not all games are better with the controller, but I would say the vast majority of games I play I would opt for the controller.

    • Also can connect using a micro USB cable which is how I use it.
Depends on the game, if you use steam then it works with a lot of games out of the box.
Other games you’d might need to map the button manually or may not support it

    OOS

lol what kind of stupid question is that.

Nah there’s not, Bill Gates buys all the consoles & games to keep the sales figures ticking over.

Then donates them to the third world to get charity credits.

I have one. And judging my the popularity of Xbox deals, a few people on here have Xbox’s too. The best advice is to buy the same console that your friends have, which might led to few Xbox’s in some friend circles and lots in others.

Also Xbox controllers are very popular for PC gaming, because they are reasonably high quality, common, and well supported by Windows.

PS4 was definitely more popular this generation, but plenty of Xbox One owners (easily in the 100s of thousands).

      • I like how you're getting downvoted by fanboys

    • People use these controllers for PC

      • I prefer DS4 or Wii U Pro for the PC.

    • I bought the old Xbox One for Halo MCC.
It's the only game I've played on it, now the console is gathering dust.

Edit: I also tried playing a DVD on it once after I moved house.
It failed because I needed to go on the internet for some reason (which I didn't have as I'd just moved in).

      • Probably to download the DVD player app as a one off download.
MCC is meant to be making a return - the closed beta looks promising but hard to say if it will get people back online - still plenty of players online on fridays and Saturdays

        • Honestly it was worth it just to couch co-op the campaign in Halo 2 with awesome graphics.
No regrets at all, but it's a terrible console so (I've owned a lot of consoles and the 360 was my favorite last generation).

Xbox one has around half the global unit sales of the ps4 and considering its complete absence from the japanese market, in regions like Australia the sales figures are probably pretty decent

  • +1

Not sure, I think may be sold out already. I have quantity set to one and it says 'Please enter a lower figure'. Missed out :(

  • It was a discontinued SKU, but the most recent controller, differences in packaging potentially? There was only 55 Australia wide last Thursday. Got one for cheap using the VIP discount and two of the $20 Mothers day store credits.

Umart has the Xbox One Windows Controller for $59. Same controller, just comes with an extra long USB cable.

  • Not as good as the $48 deal for the Gears of War version of this controller a few months back.

    • well it's out of stock

    • GoW design is fair ugly anyway.
