It's not ready yet… They are still deleting all the good stuff like Note 9 and increasing prices :)

      • That was what they did last time. Increased prices then gave you a discount. BIG liar.

    • +18

They need time to jack up all the prices by 15%

      • +1

        I laughed

        • +2

Ebay can offer seller's a button feature to increase price by x%.

      • +2

        sounds nice. 1X1.15X0.85=0.9775.
        we will get 2.25% off.

  • +1

    Thanks TA.

  • +1

Ironic; this code starts with a 'P' :-)

    • +4

      The code looks like PISGUYS

  • Not even 20% ?

    • 15%

    • The 20% eBay deal in March 2018 was pretty good.

      • And in July
        That was 20 % TGG

        • +5

Sorry they were both shit sales when prices got jacked to the sky.

        • +1

          @Extremecable: It hurts because it's true. :'((

    • +3

A "TGG sale" with 30-40% off jacked prices would actually be a sale.

  • -1

    Hehe

  • +1

Should be quite a few Damascus knives @ 15% off.

  • +1

Have these guys jacked up prices for Tv's on their ebay sales in the past?

    • +4

IIRC they have the same prices across their online store and ebay storefront - though they don't list all items on ebay e.g. most Apple products

      • No PS4

    • +4

Not sure if they Jack but their tv stock on their eBay store is extremely underwhelming. Over priced small TVs.

  • +4

Fingers crossed for a Sony 75" TV deal..

    • That’s the first thing I looked for. Unless it gets added (unlikely) it ain’t happening.

  • +1

Hopefully good deal on a Kindle!

  • +1

The Nintendo Switch is not listed ../..

    • Was hoping for one. Need to buy a new one after I ran over my old one

      • Sad reacts :(

      • Mine just stopped turning on. I hardly ever used it too. im also on the lookout for a flash sale

  • Looking for a dryer .. any suggestions

    • +3

      hair dryer or clothes dryer?

      • clothes dryer…

        • Heatpump dryer

    • Bought EDV5552 2 weeks ago from TGG website on one of their 10% sales. Base price at that time was $399.

    • +31

      Code not working

SIGH…. Did you actually bother to read the post title, or you just decided to skip that and go straight to complaining?

  • +1

Still need a split system deal…

    • So do I - make sure you pm me if you find a good one.

There should be a 18% off storewide in sept

      • +2

Will do mate. Will post as a deal as well.

  • +9
  • I need a tablet…

Can't justify the cost of a tab S4 though

    • Compare lenovo tab 4 pro & samsung tab A 10.1.

  • +18

    These GUYS taking the P155?

  • +3

Wow, they have four Hisense TV models in their eBay store… Weak.

  • +1

Last time they excluded all their TVs, previous time they only had their dodgy "Linden" brand TVs. Give it a miss - nothing to see here as usual with TGGs.

    • Linden are okay for the price, but I don't think they usually sell them through eBay

    • +2

No PS4 either. Seems they remove listing during these types of sales. Such a shitty tactic.

  • +3

They jacked the prices to full retail and offering 15% off. You can still get some items cheaper from other seller even with out the 15%

  • Of course this happens, just made a purchase last night d'oh

  • I need a split system - hopefully some good deals

  • +5

What's the next code - PEN fifteen??

  • +4

Refuse to purchase from these guys again after their last price jacking antics.

Any deal they do put up of interest, I'll actively look to have price matched elsewhere.

  • +2

The 75” Sony has gone back up today from $3996 to $5495
15% off $3996 would be Awsome price

    • +2

It was specifically stated in the Sony deal that the expiry on that price was yesterday. It was a 3 Day deal that Sony seemed to offer to vendors as well as sell it delivered at that price themselves.

      • +1

I’m talking about the good guys price not Sony price
Hn still doing $3996 today and jb sale finishes tomorrow night

  • Hmm looking at a washing machine - annoying part is they offer “free click and collect” (which I’m happy to do), but all stores indicate “out of stock” so you can’t chose it and are forced to pay $50 for delivery .. item ships from my local store too. Ugh

    • Yep and they upped the price today too (by $200).. double sigh

  • My parents bought a Dyson last weekend. Does their price guarantee apply to ebay sales for their own store?

    • +1

Q: Does their price guarantee apply to ebay sales for their own store?

      A: No. https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/pay-less

The 30 Day Price Guarantee does not apply in respect of advertising errors, limited or group buy offers, clearance products, promo code offers, finance offers, prices which include bonus offers, cash backs or discounts whether these are offered directly or via redemption from a supplier or a third party and also excludes items sold on marketplace websites such as eBay, as well as The Good Guys own pricing and any brand it sells for a third party supplier under an agency agreement.

      • +1

        Bummer, thanks for the reply

  • +2

Google Home is missing :( I hope its there tomorrow.

  • +1

I am guessing there will be no MS Surface Go and no Canon DSLR

  • +3

Pretty underwhelming.. The Hisense TV I was after conveniently shows as 'out of stock' for all 3 nearby stores after I opt for Click & Collect (rather than $52 postage). But, if I use the store locator on their web site, all 3 stores apparently have stock..

    • +1

Their eBay store does not work properly with their systems…

  • +2

Geez. I only just made this avatar, now they go change the percentages on me..

    • Your Avatar says +15% - 20% = -5%, however the actual maths is +15% - 20% = -8%.

Observe, for example, an item costing $100:

      $100 + 15% = $115

      $115 - 20% = $92

      Total savings = $100 - $92 = $8 = 8%.

      • +1

You mathemagician practicing witchcraft with numbers!

  • No fitbit versa as well :(

  • Me needs a new 55" tv.. nothing of much value from what I can tell

  • I want a new dishwasher but none of the ones I want are on their ebay store

  • Damn, just bought clothes dryer 2 weeks ago in-store, can I claim back the difference using their 30 days guarantee?

    • No, see alvian's comment above.

Memo to self: Always refresh before posting a comment.

    • No, see above

    • The only way is to return item with old receipt.
But they might charge a restocking fee.p

      • That would be 20% 🤔

    • +1

You really want to do that? All the time and effort you've used to go purchase, install, and now return. Is it worth your time (and therefore money) to exchange it? Genuine question.

      • +1

They wouldn't return the one they have set up. They would purchase another and then use the receipt from the first to return the second.
        Still a lot of effort.

    • Thanks for clarifying guys!

  • Do they not sell the Samsung Gear VR headsets anymore?

  • Are Miele dishwashers included in the sale?

  • Hey Tightass, (lol)

Do these guys markup their prices for storewide sales, such as this?

    Cheers!

    • +4

Are you unable to see the hundreds of comments discussing that posted above you?

  • I've already seen prices bumped up from yesterday. Something I priced over the weekend has increased more this morning, so while the 15% is a discount, it's not a real 15%. Usual price jacking

  • +3

240 upvotes with no related deals :|

  • After discount, the Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens is still more expensive than TGG's website.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Nikon-JAA015DA-AF-S-50mm-1-8…
    https://www.catch.com.au/product/nikon-af-s-nikkor-50mm-f-1-…
Not mentioning that the one on TGG's website is without shipping fee.

    • +1

What are your talking about? It's identical to the pricing on their website.

You linked to some random marketplace seller on Catch, they're like the most untrustworthy sellers possible.

      • My bad. Different website. How to remove the neg vote?

        • You can go here and press the yellow revoke button if you would like.

        • @doweyy: That was embarrassing haha..

        • Neg your own comment will cancel it out.

  • +1

Who will be the hero that will finally report the pricejacking?

    • +3

How about you? Because you're the hero ozbargain deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

  • was looking at the samsung galaxy s9 plus, looks like its still cheaper without the discount at $963 on ebay plus 10% off if targeted or the usual 5% off

    • Where is the $963 version?
