    Cue the shitty puns.

    • Bidet? Don't mind if I ba-do.

      Stole that from Bob's Burgers.

I dont know….I just can get past the awkwardness of having to explain to my house guests how to operate the toilet seat.

the awkwardness of having to explain demonstrate to my house guests how to operate the toilet seat

      FTFY

Just play it coy and don't mention it. I've had a guest get inquisitive with my bidet and switch it on while looking at it rather than sitting on it, after cleaning the water that went absolutely EVERYWHERE they came out and mentioned what happened, and we both pissed ourselves laughing at it.

This is what Xiaomi Home Automation is for. :D

  • Says it comes with the english control panel sticker. There were some complaints about the sticker from shoppro/gearbite being not a great colour match, reckon this is the same one?

    • i'm using shoppro's and the sticker quality is actually good. its printed on thick plastic like stuff. because it is thick, if you didn't remove the original sticker like i did, the led indicators are slightly blurry.

  • Good price. I still haven't installed mine, and won't for 2 more weeks, so I'm feeling a little buyers remorse now

I got big brownie points after buying this for the wife.

    • "brownie" pun intended?

  • Sorry if this has been answered before - does it plug into mains or run off batteries? Read the page but couldn't see mention of how it's powered.

Found it: "Australia Power Plug with English Control Panel Sticker"

How many people have a power point beside their shitter?

    • Depends on the setup of their shitter - separate room for the shitter itself not likely, but in an ensuite or full bathroom w/ shitter in the same room there will generally be a powerpoint in reach.

      Step 1: Buy Xiaomi poopseat
      Step 2: Redesign bathroom
      Step 3: Profit

For those thinking of buying this, the filter should be replaced every 6 months. You can buy a replacement filter in this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/402695

    • Filter for water dun think so maybe for deodorising

      • Filter probably relevant 2 other countries where the water quality isn't so good.

I came here for the comments.

  • Has anyone bought one previously and using it? How is it for size? It looks a little small in the photos. I 'spose I could get a tape measure out and compare my toilet seat with its dimensions but CBF'd.

    • Do you have a big butt?

After Eneloops, these are now the number 2 product.

    • Occasionally, it pokes out to be number 1

I've installed one. The seat is narrow and long so it sits a bit forward on our corona toilet but its shaped well and I can't imagine anyone not fitting on it. It's always warm which is a big plus in winter! Installation took a little while but it all worked in the end. Washlet works quite well, I'm always clean and fresh when I do my number 2's at home. Comes with an english sticker that goes over the top so you know what all the functions are.

As I tell all my house guests who have been fine with it (its optional after all), once you go to Japan you'll understand why one day all toilets will do this and you saw it at my house first!

  • I think only manlets use washlets.

the knobhead who designed my bathroom didn't put a power point near the toilet

    • Did you check next to the USB ports?

Toilet seat from Pc meal.. bit of fun when I first looked at it :)

  • Normally don't have problem with sticker but the quality of material for the control panel is quite bad. I got the crack when using that seat.

    • There is no way this seat could crack its made of flexible plastic, I am not here to judge your girth.

  • Whata great product!. No problems if it ever catches fire because it has a built in fire extinguisher1

  • Do people here actually buy these? They cost 10X of a normal toilet seat.

My toilet seat broke today so I am thinking if its a sign. But my gut won't let me part with $250 for a fancy toilet seat + $150 for an electrician to put a plug next to the toilet.

    • i have them over 20 years (not xiaomi, panasonic and TOTO), almost no shit anywhere unless back to my spot.
      It's a must have.

    • I'm definitely considering it. The toilets were genuinely a highlight of my trip to Japan.

      • I have never used one that's why I am tempted to get one. One of my cousins visiting from overseas had a fancy TOTO toilet in the Airbnb he had booked here. It even had a seat cover changer that would change the plastic after every use. He showed me the toilet and suggested I give it a try but I didn't want to have any accidents lol. We had both seen them for the first time.

  • Off topic, anyone can recommend a non electric bidet? Thanks
