How is it coloured?
Saxa Black Cyprus Salt gets it colour from carbon obtained from the natural process of bark combustion using softwood such as linden, birch and willow.Ah, so it’s black. Like pepper.

You can't re-fill these. You need to throw them away after they are empty, so the components won't get a chance to wear out.
Have the same thought as you, so staying away from plastic. Went for ceramic, when needing a replacement recently.
Can't be happier when I found these good value refillable ceramic grinders, which come with salt/pepper in them. Better still, they had a price drop recently to $4.50.good stuff.

Unlike pepper, grinding salt is entirely an aesthetic thing anyway. It starts out salt and ends up salt. Also Peugeot cars and grinders are totally related.
