Woah awesome deal for an ASUS!

You should consult a medical professional

  • Anyone know if you can get the 3 free games with this (mwave is $199 and you can)?

    • I don't think so, the seller isn't on the list, https://www.amd.com/en/where-to-buy/raise-the-game

I asked them and got a reply from them:

        Good afternoon,

Yes, we are participating and have codes ready to go.

They will provide the code once the card is received. The redemption system scans for an eligible card.

        • Oh great lol.

I wonder if they are same company as PC Byte, but just trading under different names, hence.

          • +1

@zrmx: The store seems to be based in SA. It is likely the distributors (Synnex, Ingram Micro) provide the codes. Therefore, as long as they get their stock from the distributors, they should be able to also get the codes.

            • +2

@netsurfer: I can confirm that the distributors do infact give codes for me at least :)

        • How did you contact them? I'd like to confirm that they still have codes.

      • +2

I bought the 580 OC 8 GB Strix from Device Deal (not on the above list) in a recent deal and got the code, since redeemed, from them.

  • so many views and no purchase yet, whats going on guys come on get it going!

Don't really need it, but caved in and bought.
OP, you just costed me $189.05.

          Hey OP,
Can I suggest editing to add 3 free games, which are worth a considerable amount.
          Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey
          Strange Brigade®
          Star Control®: Origins

I'm just pointlessly perusing a card I have no intentions of buying :p

Does anyone who has experience with GPUs offer us a similar comparable from the NVIDIA line in terms of price and performance?

    • Comparable performance to GTX 1060 3GB (while having 1GB more VRAM), Hardware Unboxed has a pretty good review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzx-us9g86U

With current pricing, RX570 is pretty much the best value graphics card, certainly beating GTX 1060 3GB.

    • This one is below GTX1060, but GTX 1050Ti cannot match it in terms of performance.

This price is lower than the retail street price of 1050Ti (still don't quite get why it is $200+ considered it was way cheaper last year) - perhaps it doesn't need those additional power connectors.

GTX/RTX 2050 might be a potential competitor, but it is still months away.

    • +1

The rtx 570 4gb is similar to the 1060. Kind of sits between the 3gb and 6gb variants of the 1060. Which is kind of 1050ti territory really. Though this really does depend on the game you are using it with.

However at this price the 570 advertised wins out. Nothing of nVidia currently compares. Closest is going to be 1050ti at $230 depending on where you get it from.

Hope that gives you some brief insight.

      • +2

Standard user benchmarks show RX 570 is close to 1060 3GB (but not quite there)

1050Ti cannot compare to RX570 or 1060 3GB. Its only advantage is most versions do not need the 8 pin connector (less power usage).

      • How would this compare to a GTX 780?

  • Good price!
Any one have a set of RX570s on Crossfire? Any good?

    • +2

Crossfire or SLI are never good.
They're either acceptable (if a supported game) or terrible (unsupported).

    • interested to know this too, recent reports say it's not all doom and gloom

  • "Please note: this is not the OC version of the card."

So 1244 MHz engine clock instead of 1300 MHz on the Strix OC version. Probably not much difference.

    • +2

You can OC it yourself. These cards are good for it.

    • Don't think there'll be much difference, besides, you can always overclock it yourself to get better performance.

  • Other countries have 1060 3gb and rx570 at similar prices but cant see anything like that here. When i got this card 2months ago for $230 it felt like a steal, great value for money 1080p performer.

    • Australia is just overpriced.
      9600k from Amazon.com is like $400 while Amazon.com.au it's $477, while of course we can't ship from .com now…

      • Yeah but we can get up to 12% Amazon cashback and maccas coupons. So if you use everything it adds up to roughly the same price as them.

  • Can’t believe these cost me $400-$450 in January at the peak of the mining boom

    • I bought an RX480 8GB used for $200 back in June. Crypto was not as large but still around so I think I got a good deal on it.

  • +2

Guys, PACK20 ebay code still running, so miners can get 2 for $358

  • Can't believe I'm asking this but anyone want to split in Brisbane? North-west or city exchange.

    • Too late, bought! Upgrading from gtx 750ti

  • Now even cheaper if you buy with 10% off eBay gift cards! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/410302

I found this review. Looking for a cheap high end graphics card for my SO and this seems to fit the bill for what she needs

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWvVrEA8uUg

  • How much time does this go for? If I can wait till tomorrow,I'll decide when I'm not as delirious.

  • Was looking at upgrading my 280x but it seems like this would be more of a sidegrade :/

    • I think for an upgrade from 280x, the current good value option would be gtx 1070Ti, especially the second hand market.

  • Anyone in Vic S.E want to make use of the PACK20 code with me?

  • I use this card with a 1440p monitor on medium settings. works great.

  • Will this card run 2 x 27 inch 4k monitors at 60hz ? Can anyone who run such a setup please offer some feedback . thanks

  • Hey guys, how does this compare to my r9 390? At such a good price inc games is it worth it?

    • It's not worth it in terms of gaming performance (also less graphics memory -> 8GB down to 4GB). The only advantage is support for native HDMI 2.0 support (instead of having to use HDMI to DisplayPort to achieve 4K@60Hz), but if you are serious about 4K gaming, RX570 isn't a good choice.

Games, depends on whether you actually like those games. I got bored with AC Origins really early so I doubt I will enjoy Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Don't over-value those games.

  • Hi all, newb here (but learning!). For an i5 2500k machine, on 1080p, and a guy who plays alot of fortnite but wants some future proofing, potentially for other games later on….should i get this or spend more money and get something gruntier like a gtx1060 6gb? Currently using a gtx550ti on 780p.

    • +2

I'd get this. Massive step from what you have. Use it for 12 months and sell it for $100 when 2050 etc have come out. Get 3 games that would cost around $90. Use that ozbargain logic and it's virtually free.

Thanks heaps for the reply mate, ordering now! Yes!!!

  • Anyone else manage to get the codes? This company are ignoring me or very busy.

    • Anyone who reads this..

They ran out of codes but are hoping to get more. I called and gave my details and they will hopefully send in a few days.

    • Same situation here. (Puchased it last Sunday.)
I sent the msg 2 days ago but no answer yet. Even before I purchased it, the seller confirmed that they can supply the code.

Edited: Sent a msg again to the seller, and got the code 5 minutes later.

      • Yep, they emailed shortly after my last comment with the code :)

        • hey guys I got my code in the ebay messages too. thanks for following up. Now a very silly question, where do I redeem the code to get the free games ?

          https://www.amd.com/en/gaming/raise-the-game

I had a quick look on the above link but couldnt figure out where to enter the code. thanks in advance.

          • +1

@metalhead: I had trouble finding it too.

            Amdrewards.com

You have to do the last part of this from the pc with the card installed!

            • @WhyAmICommenting: thanks very much. I have registered but gotta wait 24 hours since I didnt want to provide them with my mobile number :D
