  • Nice little workstation… I have the 9010.

It'd be nice if they offered an option for a bigger SSD though…

    • i got 9010 too and the biggest problem is that there is no slot for SSD if we already have a huge HDD inside. Even not suitable to get rid of the HDD and insert 2 SSD… Poor design!

      • Just get a BIG SSD…

Use external storage for stuff you don't need often.

Pretty sure you can replace the build in DVD drive with another disk if you want…

        • I actually want to separate the one with Win installed with the rest. MEaning that I usually use 128 GB SDD just for the Win and Game and software install and for the storage purpose I want to use another SSD kind of 500GB

You can just tape the SSD to the inside of the case ….. anywhere it fits.

        It doesn't matter.

FYI, you can get a 9020 SFF w/ i5 4570, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD for ~170 shipped off a bidding website like allbids or graysonline. Then add 4GB RAM and SSD yourself for cheaper :)

    • a bidding website like allbids or graysonline

Do they offer a 90 day warranty though?

      • I know they have 30 or so?
Last time i dea with graysonline, cancel an order on Thursday, late Friday no reply from them. After 2 email they reply they will try to but not sure…weekend they are off and Monday not news until i have to email again to ask. The cancellation is then proceeded without me knowing, just received their eBay message to confirm it is processing and will receive money back in 2-3 days which happened. Total of 4 sent emails.

I'm not sure that is the normal procedure or not but earlier when I cancel an order with a smaller seller, few hours after my cancellation request, they did it and an auto email was sent to confirm that. No individual emails were sent tho.

  • If 128GB isn't enough storage, replace/add in the Samsung EVO 860 500GB SSD from this deal.

    • I just upgraded to a 1TB for $200…

  • That's weird, the eBay plus has never working in the refurb category.

    • the demand is so high for refurb.

I've never dealed with one though, any idea guys?

      • I'm about to do up a listing for some HP stock and post it.

      • I've never dealed with one though, any idea guys?

I've bought many times from Australian Computer Trader… They're all good…
        Always quickly resolved any issues.

        • Great to hear AND be JV approved.

@Calmago: Leave your money on the fridge…

  • Is this a good pc to connect to a rgb crt for groovymame?

Would this accept a 5000 series Radeon card?

    Thanks

You need to look at the power consumption, there's at best a 280 watt power supply (Calmago can advise).

why dont u just instll Win 10??

      • still not very comfortable with Win 10. Personally I prefer Win 7.
If Win 10 is the only option, I will try to re-install Win 10 again. thank you.

        • u can actually use Win 7 product key to install Win 10. The process is taking like 15 minute for the usb bootable and another 15 to install. Ive done that on 9010

          • @Sonca: can one who has an old win 7 home and never upgraded to the free win 10 still install it given the 'extension' to the free upgrade finally was ended?

            • @SaberX: I'm not sure about it but here's what I did.

              1. Go to Microsoft website ,instructions how to make a bootable usb to install win 10. I think u have to do media tool or sth like that, choose usb boot and suitable win 10. If win 7 pro then win 10 pro.

              2. Boot bot from usb

              3. Run a installation…at 2nd step or so, it asks you to enter product key. Here I just enter my win 7 product key and it works. The rest follows

      I don't understand your issue.

The only problem i encountered was making sure you installed everything in the right order.Follow this order after installing windows 7.

  • @Calmago do these have standard ATX m/bs in them? Like could this be gutted and transferred into a cheap mATX case?

  • Sorry to hijack your post. I've done up a listing for the bellow and posted a deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/412494

  • Can the components be removed, and mounted in an ATX case with a 600w (ATX) PSU?

  • I use one of the 9010s for my freenas box. Works a treat.

  • When you get your computers double check the specs, my brother in law and myself bought i7's with 16gb of ram recently…

Mine arrived with only 12gb of ram, the original 8gb of 1600 and an odd 4gb stick of 1333, they ended up sending out another pair of odd mismatched 4gb 1600 sticks…

My brother in laws one arrived with an i5 cpu, he had to send it back for a refund… He's since ordered another one…

Good computers, just double check you get what you purchased ;)
