If you are after some Vans shoes, it is very cheap to buy at ASOS US

    • Converses are also cheap, around $55 aud from ASOS US

    • Why is it cheaper to buy vans in the US store than AU?

      • +3

Because Vans are cheaper in US :)
use the price checker to have a look yourself

      • +2

the stores all have different set prices so use the link OP posted that shows the comparison across all asos international sites.

      • +1

All brands of sneakers are much cheaper in Murica. We get massively ripped of here, and it is hard to find a US merchant who will ship to Australia. Shipping forwarders are an option, but add to the cost

    • Does the free returns still apply if you buy from ASOS US? If so, do you return to ASOS US or ASOS AU?

      • +2

I maybe wrong, but I think ASOS ships everything from the UK. They have sites dedicated to different countries, with those respective countries' currencies and prices set for them (just like ASOS AU), but everything comes from their UK warehouses, and have to be returned to the UK. At least that's how I understand it. Hope someone else will shed light on this if that isn't the case.

  • does it work on items already discounted?

    • +3

      Sitewide :)

  • +1

There are some exceptions. Skin care products get 20% off not 30% off, but still a good discount, thanks!

    • oh i did not notice that. Never buy skin care on Asos before

      • I only noticed because I tried the code on some beauty products.

        • Thanks. edited

20% The Ordinary is pretty good :)

          • +1

@fomal: I thought so too. I stocked up in Oct when the Deciem stores closed, won't buy any more this time.

          • +1

@fomal: Thanks! Bought some for the missus!

    • +1

Yup also GHD straightners/curlers are 20% too

  • Couldn't get payment to go with paypal for some reason - worked on mastercard though. Brilliant!

    • +1

I've also got an issue to pay for an item through PayPal (got a message saying something went wrong and I had to place the order again) but it worked when I tried it a second time. But on my PayPal account there are two pending payments to Asos. I've just sent them an email re that issue. You might need to check your PayPal account just in case.

      • +1

Best to pay with credit card, the last time I placed two orders with paypal $600+ in total it didnt go through but the money in my bank was pending… took them 2 weeks to release the funds back into my account.

        • Yeah, I have had similar issue once in the past, and just like you've said, it took them for a while to drop the pending funds. But the reason I prefer paying with PayPal is that it's easy to pay with (I never save my bank/CC details on sites), and you have that PayPal returns thing (but I think Asos has free returns or something?). Anyway, I've sent them an email and they've already got back to me. I've just replied to their first email response with more details they've asked for so it will be alright in the end.

  • they removed some of the items in my wishlist. sucks

    • IIRC each item in your wishlist automatically expires after 60 days. Yeah, it sucks.

      • +1

no, they literally removed items from the website. should have said it better. lol

        • +1

Yeah, usually happens often when they sell out.

  • +4

Crap I just bought using 15% off code. They back that sale up with a 30% off :(

    • +3

I bought some stuffs with 15% off code as well. Just order new one and return once it arrives

      • +3

How good are ASOS with returns?

        • +7

It is free with Australia Post. Once it arrives you create a return and send it to their department. The return will be processed in 7-14 working days

        • +7

they are awesome with returns, just tick which items you want to return and print out the postage label they will send you to your email, as soon as the parcels are scanned in the post office, you will receive redund :)

  • +1

Good deal. Just bought a NMD for $91. Thanks OP

    • +1

considering RRP is $260 it is a good deal :).
Cheaper if you buy at ASOS US

      • RRP is usually $200 or $220 at some stores

  • -2

asos is only good for shoes

    • Highly disagree. I get some really fabulous lingerie on heavy discount on ASOS too.

  • +2

Perfect timing. Was literally about to checkout at ASOS and thought I should check OZB and found this posted less than an hour ago. Saved me a bundle cheers.

    • -7

      • +8

Heading o/seas where it'll be winter, so it's perfect timing for me.
Besides, if it's a good deal, there's nothing wrong with buying something that I'll be wearing eventually anyway

  • +1

Damn just bought some gear at 15% off…. FML….

Although did pick up a pair of Air Max 270 for $110 which is 50% off

    • link?

    • +1

  • Thanks OP

    Don't forget cashrewards or shopback

    • 3.5% at Cashrewards or 7% at Shopback (was 10% a couple of days ago).

    • Won’t work unles they publish this code on their website

  • Thanks OP got 2 nike tees, North face tee and polo ralph cap for $100.

  • Can I buy one more items to satisfy min $40 spent for free delivery, then return the item that I don't want for a refund?

    • yes, you can ;)

      • Why? cant you get items over $40 with this huge discount? :)

  • +1

Nice, got done Red Wings boots. Thanks!

  • Went to buy some undies on the AU site - $99.95 for a three pack - switched to the UK site and the same product was £38 (AUD $69)! Haven't seen this before on ASOS, is this typical? Ordered from the UK site no problem.

    • +4

Definitely typical, you need to always check codesium before buying! It's not only pricing on the sites, it's also the currency you buy in, so triple check before buying to save the most!

  • Can you still make returns even if you used a non australian asos site to purchase?

    • Yes it works.

      • Thanks @heybargain.

Can anyone else confirm please? About to buy a whole heap of things off the US site and might need to return some of it.

  • +1

Anyone went through their return process with items that don't fit?

    • +4

Yes. You just return them and they'll give you a refund.
Fill out the return form that came with it.

    • +6

Easiest place to return. The bag is resealable (make sure you don't destroy it when you get the package). You create a return label from your account, print it, then drop it at the post-office. Sometimes they refund even before they get the package back.

    • +1

Thanks guys, purchasing clothes online is the probably the last thing i've taken online because of that, and my wardrobe is limited as i hate shopping.

      Cheers for tips!

    • ASOS probs has the best returns policy, just make sure you tear along the lines on the bag so you can reuse it.

  • +2

Got some Air Force Ones for about $100.00. Best to pay in UK pounds.

    https://www.asos.com/au/nike/nike-air-force-1-mid-07-sneaker…

    • last time i bought from ASOS UK store i got charged a currency conversion rate to AUD. Probably got to do with Paypal though

      • +1

Not if you pay in GBP, you pay cheaper as well as no international fee

        • ah well my commbank debit card charges a coversion fee

          • @Griffindinho: Dude, you need to get a fee-free card ASAP — foreign exchange fees are the biggest rort, and there's zero reason to put up with it. There's heaps of options nowadays like 28 Degrees, BankWest etc — do a search on Whirlpool or OzBargain for discussions about these. You'll save hundreds or even thousands over time.

        • how do you change the currency you pay in?

    • Haven't seen AF1s since the days of the 2000s rap music videos.

      • +1

yeah travis definitely did not release couple pairs of forces recently

        • Probably should've mentioned 'all white'.

  • -1

Let's hope they will honour all orders

  • Anyone know if this coupon can be used multiple times?

    • +6

      Yes. Until you bankrupt :)

  • Grabbed another pair of Docs sneakers for ~$65 AUD delivered. Thanks for the link to the price compare, saved 10 bucks using the US site!

    • No problem!! Cheers Ozbargainers

  • +1

  • +1
