Holding out for a 55P7 from a seller a bit closer than interstate but you QLD folk got some nice deals here.

    • +1

Unless space is an issue get the 65P7 you wont regret it.

      • I have 65 m series Hisense in the living room already… just need a bit smaller for the bedroom.

  • +1

I want the sony x900f deal back :(

  • +6

    75P7 amazing price!

  • Is the P7 edge lit or full array?

  • Damn. I had my heart set on a 65P7 and was just waiting for a deal but may go for the 65P8 at that price.

Is there much difference if I wait for a local seller (NSW/Syd)?

  • Torn between TCL and Hisense 65inch tv's. TCL 65X4US costs $100ish less than similar tech'd 65P8 (Qled). Also, is the Qled worth the price difference around $300. Need a new tv by the end of this week. Please help.TCL or Hisense?

    Thanks

    • +5

      Hisense anyday mate over TCL!

      • +1

Why? I think they are similar in quality. TCL is probably longer in TV industry than Hisense.

        • +1

Hisense have set the standard for bang for buck TVs the past 2 years. TCL may be trying to get in on this and compete in that same segment but basically there and hundreds of people from here have snapped them up in that time so you are naturally going to get more recommendations for what is more commonly known. As for TCL, pick a model you're interested in and read up (start with the forums on whirlpool).

      • Tcl 70C4US for around $1600, or Similar hisense 65P7?? Im inclined towards 65P7 for around $1350

    • +4

      Hisense.

    • HiSense any day. So many problems with the TCLs this year. Go read the whirlpool forums about it.

  • +1

According to this review Hisense seem to be the only company that have produced 65" to 75" TVs…

    https://www.news.com.au/technology/home-entertainment/tv/cin…

    • Not really. Friend bought a tCL 70" for $1700 last year.

    • +1

That's about the quality of journalism I expect from news.com.au

  • +1

how would this be compared with the Kogan ones which was like 899 for 65 inches.

    • +3

One is a really bad TV while the HiSense is a great TV?

      • Sure, that's all I need to know

  • 75" no stock

  • What are these like compared to equivalent Samsung or Sony?

  • Does anyone know the electricity usage of the 75P7 and 65P7?
    Cheers :).

When that JB Hisense deal went live I went along to check out the P8 vs Sony X90F and I just couldn't get past how good the Sony looks… The Hisense just seemed far more washed out in comparison, but I'm not sure if the store are creating this bias. The Sony was showing some super sharp dark time-lapse stylish video, and the Hisense was showing your run-of-the-mill nature show. But now this P8 is another $300 cheaper and it's got me thinking all over again…

    Edit: nevermind too late!

    • Hmmm, sure you weren't looking at the P7?

The P8 is a pretty good TV, if they were the same price I'd probably go the Sony given I prefer the Sony OS. However if the P9 was only a few hundred more than the Sony X90F, then I'd defo go the P9.

      • Definitely the P8 as I was also checking it's Quantum Dot out against the Samsung QLED.

    • Isn’t the Sony in another price park altogether?

The 65 is close to $3k vs the Hisense p8 at almost half that

Seems sort of an unfair comparison

      • Cheapest deal for the Sony has run at around $2300, and I'm hoping for something closer to $2000 in the next couple months (black friday, Xmas). Up until this deal the cheapest P8 was $2000. Similar ball park to me and Sony looked to be worth the extra $300. But now this has come down another $300, hence my comment.

        • got it, didn't see the sony had ever dropped that much

  • Defintiely hold out for a P9, getting closer to Black Friday, nice deals should pop up. Overall Hisense is a very good brand and well established.

  • +2

Hmmm buy the 65P7 now or wait for Black Friday/boxing day sales?

  • +1

wow, exactly what I've been waiting for. Pity I can't get afterpay on ebay though…

  • how would this compare to my 9" :) jk getting deal grabbing the 75 cheers!

  • Thinking of getting a 65P7 since a few weeks. Will I get a better deal on Boxing day?

    • +1

      Bit the bullet. Bought it.

  • +2

Brought previous version 75n7 for around $2500. Great TV. Very good picture quality.

  • Wow, don't think it would get any better than this 75", to buy or not to buy?

  • I ended up getting the 75p7 from Appliance central for a little bit more, because Videopro doesn't deliver to my area. I'm "too rural"

  • What's the OzB recommendation for a mid-range receiver, at least 6.2? I've been happily slumming it with an older yamaha receiver connected to my 4 year old Sony 1080p unit.

I've got the XB1X and the 4K Apple TV, and potentially one of these Hisense TVs.

  • Been wanting a Hisense 75" for ages… time to finally pull the trigger. Done!

  • Looks like all the brick and mortar stores have dropped their prices on the Hisense TV's. 75p7 all about the $2236 range. Room to haggle?

  • +3

TGG pricematched. With 5% off giftcards through Suncorp Benefits, 75P7 delivered for $1947. Sweet.

  • I am getting $2,196.80 with PEARTREE code, how can I get $1992?

    • Seems they have bumped up the prices since this deal was posted.

  • @aspirepranesh Has the price being pushed up, can I get the Hisense 75” P7 for $1992?

  • For the people that ordered, has your TV been shipped yet? I've received positive eBay feedback but nothing else lol

  • So I got an ebay message a couple days ago saying they oversold and the supplier underdelivered. They are offering:
Keep your order on back order and we will continue to give you updates when we have a confirmed delivery date to our warehouse.
    • Consider another model TV our suggestion would be either the Sony KD65X7500F or the LG 65UK6540PTD.
    • Or cancel and refund your order
They have subsequently also offered the Hisense P8 for an extra $200

Anyone else get this? And what did you decide? I'm very confused about the choice now..

    • Nope, didn't get this! I will chase them up..

Those options would leave me in a bit of a pickle. Also considering that Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales are approaching, these may even drop again?

      • OK I just got a similar message. In my case, no mention of P8 though. I ordered the 75P7 and they have given me the option of paying $300 to "upgrade" to either:

        • LG 75UK6500PTB
        • Sony KD75X7800F

        Time to research…

        • I would be very interested to know as well

          • @monstar: Whoops, I got the models wrong in my previous message. The offer is:

            At no cost: LG 75UK6500PTB
            +$300: Samsung UA75NU7100W or Sony KD75X7800F

            • @SAVE FERRIS: Quick searches and all models seem to be vastly inferior to the P7.

LG 6500: IPS panel (even with backlit, has worst contrast than VA frame dimming)
              Samsung NU7100: No local dimming
Sony X7800F: IPS panel with frame/edge dimming

I'm going to reply and ask them what they can offer on a 75P8.

              • @SAVE FERRIS: I message them yesterday and upgraded to p8 for +$400

                • @monstar: what size?

for the 75P8 , "Leith" from videopro said it would cost me $500 to upgrade and that it's sold out anyway.

                  • +1

@SAVE FERRIS: So I made it known that I was considerably upset with the situation. Did as much research as I could, and found that all options (including the one I bought in the first place) were all IPS panels. Having a darkish room with only two of us, the VA panel was preferable. So I offered +$200 for the Samsung NU8000. This was accepted late last week thankfully and should be picking up tonight.

    • Negotiated and got upgraded to 65p8 for $150. Thanks for the tips here would never have thought of haggling over the price. :)

  • 75 inches. I asked and negotiated couple of days ago so got in before you I think… Sorry

    • haha all good! I'll ask the question anyway… either way, nothing is stock so doesn't hurt to ask if that option is on the table or not.

      • 2x 75P8 just came in today. I'm about to snag one at the +$400! Thanks for the tip!

        • +1

Oh awesome man I think we both got a great deal!
