  • Anyone picked one of these up as an upgrade from the 2 and have any feedback?

    • +1

      I like it.

Nice to have weather displayed, being able to start exercises using the watch. Display is easier to use as well.

Worth the extra $14 or so. Pawned off my 2 to the missus.

      • +1

Thanks for the feedback guys. Picked one up!

        • +1

          No problem!

For $30 it's a nice gadget to have. Same battery life, basically same charger and a few more features.

          I hope you enjoy it

    • Yes, one issue I've found is that Heart Rate readings no longer sync with Google Fit, had to take a manual reading with v2 for a sync to occur but this doesn't work with v3 for some reason.

    • +2

Probably too late now, but I have found that the display on these type fail (as in fade out) after around 12 months of use.
I recommend a different display technology if you feel 12 months is not good enough wear.

      • +1

good to know - this is terribly unsustainable. even if you upgrade every year, at least you can sell or give away a perfectly good unit if it's built to last.

      • I had my one for just over a year and have no problems with the screen or the display fading out, might just depend on the unit and the type of use.

      • This costs only 1.15 hours of my wage. To last 12 months is just fine in my book.

Just got one now as Ive been interested with these for a while now but couldn't be bothered waiting for it ship from china.

    • Haha same , just ordered one… Thanks

  • Thanks OP - happy with this deal over the Aliexpress one. Also, i bought 2 and got $5 discount at check out, not too sure why. Came to $33.45 delivered.

    • +1

Because of Our 11.11 promiton. Spend $59 will save extra $5, to bring down to $33.45.

      • Looking at the details, this isn't the version with NFC is it?
Any deals on the Hey+ model?

        Thanks

        • +1

Would the NFC be much use though? I thought the payment methods aren't supported in Australia?

        • There isn't a global NFC version, only Chinese. So all writing on the watch on Chinese symbols. Also I think the NFC is only compatible with AliPay.

It may be a couple months before we see an international Hey+. You might be interested in the Huawei Honor 4 if you want features similar to Hey+, but don't think as much 3rd party development so ultimately I chose Xiaomi for now.

          • @chriise: This doesnt make sense to me as I think you have to scan a 3d barcode on your phone to initiate the payment first on aliplay?

so you want to introduce the watch nfc why?

            • @tonyjzx: Sorry I don't know anything about Alipay and not sure what you're asking me.

          • @chriise: Thanks guys, wasn't aware the NFC was only compatible with AliPay.

Was interested in the Hey+ for it's integration with the MiJia app.
No urgency, I'll just hold out for the intl version release.

  • Will this tell time per km when running eg pace 5min 10sec when 3.5km into a run?

    • I don’t think so. Maybe checkout the Xiaomi Amazfit for gps.

  • +1

I have had this for like almost 4 months now and have only charged it 3 times so far. Very good Battery life.

  • Can anyone confirm if this is the international version?

    • +1

      Yes,this is the international version.

  • +1

How do we choose the band colour?

    • I'd also like to know.

      • Me too

    • dont think you can, you have to buy the color bands separately unfortunately

  • Is there a companion android app that gives you access to all the features or does it work natively under Android?

    • Looks like there is a Mi Fit app you need to use with this.

  • Will it work backwards with a Bluetooth 4.0 device?

  • is paypal the only way to pay?

  • Does this work on dark skin?

  • There's a deal over at Gearbest for $29.78 with free shipping, not sure if i should buy it from there?

    • +1

Yes, it's cheaper but 4 days vs 4 weeks shipping. Oz vs China warranty.

      I'll let you decide.

      • Fair point haha, I guess it's there for those who are patient enough though

    • Depends if you want it by Christmas.

      • +1

        Or ever.

  • Difference between this and band 2?

  • Thanks, two ordered.

  • Has anyone used these with the AIA Vitality app for either exercise or sleep tracking? I'm trying to figure out if these things are compatible

  • Bought 3, thanks OP.

  • How big are these? Like would they size down to a 5 or 7 year old's wrist?

    • Probably not, but depends on the child, I could imagine that some bands would come in smaller sizes

  • Can someone please tell if an activity can be started from the band instead of using the phone app? Appreciated

  • Cool. Ordered one just for the sake of it to see what it's like. I've had the 1S and 2, actually preferred 1S as readings were more consistent.

  • Now ~$40.

  • Hi I've added three items to get it over $59 yesterday but the total order was not reduced by $5.
I pressed confirm order to check if the discount will be applied at payment but it then split into two separate order. (One around $55, another one is $6)
Would you mind to check for me please? I have emailed via the contact us page on your website.

    Thanks in advance

    • Did not find your order, please let me know your order no.

      • Has private messaged. Thank you.

  • Thanks OP, bought one to be paired with my iPhone

  • I live in a two story house and tend to forget to take my mobile with me everywhere. Would this notify me when my mobile is receiving a call?

    • Within your house/yard?

As long as it’s within a reasonable range, yes.

    • +1

I wouldn't count on Bluetooth connecting at that sort of range.

  • +1

Bought one because they're compatible with this:

    Cheers!
