Do I need more Micro SD cards?

Probably not. But I shall buy some more anyway.

    Thanks, Clear.

  • Roidmi 3S on the list too! Too bad no international version available

  • +2

    Thanks Red

    • Red Faces was so much better than any of the modern talent shows.

  • Bought a couple of the Xiaomi earphones, good for spares and should last me a while.

  • +2

Redmi note 5 is cheaper at gearbest: https://m.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009967933269.html?wid=…

I can't really downvote though because other deals are decent.

    • +1

It's actually not. I got several people to test and the shipping was $20-50 at checkout.

(and gold is always cheaper than black with Xiaomi)

      • +1

        Nope, still cheaper at gearbest.

245.72 for me from gearbest, 249.12 here. Cheaper by nearly $5. Both costs calculated through PayPal.

        • How much is it wanting to charge for postage?

Also factor in 4% CR as they track Geek coupons.

          • @Clear: 25 AUD for postage.

What do you mean by 4%CR?

            • @Nadder: Cashrewards cashback.

              • @Clear: Ahhh I didn't see that at the bottom. Might want to make it a bit more prominent, I saw "other deals" and skipped past thinking it was less value stuff.

          • @Clear: Cash rewards is a bonus, and should never be consider as part of making a deal cheap.

        • According to my 28D account, I paid $236.08 - so seems significantly cheaper for me to take the Gearbest option. And I'm expecting $7.75 Cashback (…eventually).

          • @lostincanberra: Beaten by a whole $3.04. It seems their shipping is only crazy expensive outside of metro. So for some it'll be cheaper and for others more expensive.

            • @Clear: That's no practical difference to many of us! Just pleased to get a decent budget Redmi that isn't a gold variant. Your work is much appreciated. Have a +1. :-)

              • @lostincanberra: bit late but international version means global rom on Chinese stock.

Ran out of piston code!!! Dangiitt.

    headphones

This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

    • +4

Got the same error. Any chance of additional units being added to the code?

      • +3

        Got the same error. :(

        • +4

That's not a valid reason to neg a deal. The post said quantity was limited… how about asking the rep for more codes instead?

          • @Clear: Can we have more codes? :)

          • @Clear: Can we please have more codes? Thanks

          • @Clear: Hi Clear,
Thanks for adding more codes - When I posted the comment and negged the deal there were several posts about the code having expired and no response from associated account. Next time I will explicitly ask for more codes.

And I have now refreshed myself on what is not a valid negative vote - Now I know that quantities are irrelevant to the deal

            • @BadHorse: You negged 10 minutes after it was first reported….

              • -4

@Clear: I also forgot to check all time stamps for reports before voting - I'll check that next time too.

Any deals with Mi Max 3 black?

  • Piston code not working

  • Why would anyone buy the note 5 when the note 6 pro is only a few dollars more?

    • Size. Some people hate the 6 being bigger.

      • Ah didn’t notice the size difference k

      • Part of the reason that I've been happy with the Redmi 4X. Jump to the Redmi Note 5 is going to take some getting used to.

      • How much bigger is it?

  • +7

Additional 100pcs being added to the coupon…

    • +1

      You are a hero !

      • +2

You're welcome. The trick is to ask :)

        • +3

Some people just think good deals + good service are their entitlement. Keep up the good work.

    • +1

Thanks OP! Is it only for the black earphones or other colours as well?

      • +1

        Just black.

    • +1

We clearly love you Clear =).

  • Impulse buying at its finest…

  • How long can we expect delivery to take?

    • Up to 40 business days if you chose the free shipping option.

    • Said 40 at checkout

    • Free shipping can take 30-40 business days on the pistons. Main reason is because it's using small package airmail and the mail system gets overloaded during Singles Day in China.

  • Bought note pro 6, came out to be $263 used geek buying conversion.

  • Any deals on Mi 8 Lite :)

  • Thanks for the extra codes for the pistons OP! Any chance of a deal for the Mi Mix 3?

  • +1

Piston Fresh out of stock it seems, can't buy one, saying limit 1 pcs.

    • Are you trying to buy 1?

      • +1

Not working for me either, think code is maxed

  • +3

    XIAOMI27 not working

    • +1

      can we get more codes?

I find the cheap Xiaomi earphones to be a bit of a false economy. I bought a pair a while back and they only lasted a few months before one earbud started to fail.

I bought a pair of $8 Philips earphones from the supermarket about six or seven years ago which had far greater durability and sound quality (including surprisingly good bass). I picked up a new pair earlier this year (not sure if the same or a newer model) only because I misplaced the old one.

    • I have the ones that are around $30. They're my best earbuds by far. Can't speak for these cheapies though

    • Have the same problem with piston earphones

  • and again…has ultimately reached the limitation usage times for the piston headphones…

  • Rep, i missed clicking “Australia Direct Line express shipping” on my order, any help ?
    Order Number: 4753855

    • Just passed it on.

  • +3

Sorry guys that's the end of the pistons.

    • Thanks for offering them!

For those who missed out, is there a way to receive an alert when Xiaomi pistons come on sale again? There seems to be no separate tag for "piston", it just redirects to the tag "xiaomi". So if I subscribe to that tag, I get far more alerts than I want. I've also tried using IFTTT, but those alerts can come hours after the deal is listed.

    • do you think more pistons will be added?

      • +1

Unfortunately not. 153 were sold at a loss.

        • What about selling some for $11.11c in honour of the day?

  • Damn, been waiting for ages for another deal on the pistons!

  • Roidmi 3s, $12.99 USD/ $18.61 AUD on GearBest https://www.gearbest.com/car-charger/pp_1596534.html?wid=143…

    • Not if you factor in shipping ;)

      • What has happened to the pricing on these? We've had them down to <US$8 this year, but no-one is going anywhere near that recently. Are you willing to shave something further off the price?

        • Xiaomi increased their wholesale prices and with Roidmi going their own separate way internationally they've also raised their prices. I couldn't get geek to go any lower.

  • I have the Xiaomi Piston Fresh Edition and they sound better and are more comfortable than these that I also own.

Once you go Xiaomi you never go back homie!

  • Damn it! Just bought the Redmi Note 6 Pro for USD199 from Gearbest earlier today and now it pops up here for USD186.
The curse of Ozbargain strikes again

    • I've heard you should flash these xiaomi phones when you get them, is that still the case? can I run the play store on them?

      • +2

Usually you might need to reflash yourself if you buy a new release as they're often the Chinese version with an official or unofficial Global ROM flashed onto them.

At Geekbuying anything called Global ROM means it's the Chinese version of the phone with a Global ROM flashed over including Google Play, OTA etc. Anything called Global Version or International Version means it's the official Global variant of the phone intended for use overseas.

So the Redmi's in my deal are the Global Version.

        • Awesome, I think i'll try the note 6 pro. I had heard that alot of adds pop up on the some of the roms but if it's already flashed, should be ok.

          Cheers for the quick response.

          • @PlagueistheCheap: I'm looking at one of these though why do some site say it B28 and others not???

            Can anyone confirm hehehehe

            • +2

@aviper4u: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 had a Taiwanese version that had B28. Nothing since then in the Redmi series has had it.

              • @Clear: thanks for the prompt reply!!!

I guess the infamous B28 is still illusive…

  • Does the micro sd work for my moto g5

    • +1

If your Moto supports micro SD cards then it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Could we have say 300 pistons at AUD$5 next time, rather than 153 at AUD$3?

  • could you make a deal for the xiaomi mi a1 phone rep?

  • +2

We need more Xiaomi Pistons up for sale please

  • how come redmi note 6 pro is showing AUD $263.64?

    • Geek's AU rate is inflated. People often have currency conversion free credit/debit cards set to use their own rate in Paypal to get around that.

  • Piston earbuds please OP. Thanks
